It Was the Biggest Lie, “Dying You Will Not Die”.

Genesis 3:4-5

YLT4 And the serpent saith unto the woman, `Dying, ye do not die5 for God doth know that in the day of your eating of it—your eyes have been opened, and ye have been as God, knowing good and evil.’

“You will not die dying” was the original lie that brought the death to humanity’s day of disobedience. Either Adam and Eve really did die that day or Satan told the truth when he suggested that God was lying to them for nefarious reasons. The serpent pitched his reasonable belief to Eve and Eve put her faith in the word of the serpent. Somehow Adam knew better because He was not deceived like Eve. His disobedience was of a different sort. For some unreasonable reason, Adam was compelled to follow or fall for Eve in spite of God’s Logos. Adam failed to represent God’s Word to a fallen Eve. He became unreasonable. Maybe Adam should have engaged Eve in a reasonable conversation before consuming what she was offering.

It was a real eye opener that would last a lifetime. Adam died at the old age of 930. He died in that day. He started dying in the 24 hour day in which he ate from the tree. He died dying in the 1000 year day at 930 years of age. Only eschatos Adam would die and live again to finish the age alive. The resurrection took Adam’s death of disobedience to a new creation where the firstborn never dies, because Yeshua died in obedience.

That is why Yeshua told them they would never die if they believed Him. Those who remained in the first creation, as the progeny of Satan, would not be born again. They would die again. They fell for their own lie. They claimed they could already see better than Yeshua. Whether by deceptive deliberation or some unreasonable impulse of their own, this false belief in Satan’s lie led to the second death. The old covenant permanently died dying. They followed the prince and power of the old covenant air. Yeshua didn’t fall for it. He did not relinquish His authority to Satan. He followed God’s Words even when Satan offered the whole world to Him if only He would fall.

The Jews had relinquished their potential 1000 year kingdom rule to the 4 world empires of Daniel. The nation of God believed in their own works more than resting in God’s sabbath promises.

Yeshua would rule-in the world He loved by not falling for Satan’s temptations to trust what I see more than what God sees. Jesus even gave up His old covenant life in the garden when God asked Him to. Jesus laid down His life by trusting in God’s new covenant plan for Him to rule-in  His people. The unregenerate nation couldn’t even trust God’s plan enough to stop working the old covenant land for a year. The land needed reborn for real.

Luke 4:6-8

CLV 6 And the Adversary said to Him, “To you shall I be giving all this authority and the glory of them, for it has been given up to me, and to whomsoever I may will, I am giving it.” 7 If you, then, should ever be worshiping before me, it will all be yours.” 8 And answering, Jesus said to Him, “Go away behind Me, Satan! It is written, The Lord your God shall you be worshiping, and to Him only shall you be offering divine service.”

John 8:35-42

YLT 35 and the servant doth not remain in the house—to the age, the son doth remain—to the age; 36 if then the son may make you free, in reality ye shall be free. 37 `I have known that ye are seed of Abraham, but ye seek to kill me, because my word hath no place in you; 38 I—that which I have seen with my Father do speak, and ye, therefore, that which ye have seen with your father—ye do.’ 39 They answered and said to him, `Our father is Abraham;’ Jesus saith to them, `If children of Abraham ye were, the works of Abraham ye were doing; 40 and now, ye seek to kill me—a man who hath spoken to you the truth I heard from God; this Abraham did not; 41 ye do the works of your father.’ They said, therefore, to him, `We of whoredom have not been born; one Father we have—God;’ 42 Jesus then said to them, `If God were your father, ye were loving me, for I came forth from God, and am come; for neither have I come of myself, but He sent me;

Yeshua made it to the age where Adam failed to go. He did die in the day of Adam, at the hands of those who ruled Jerusalem like the devil, but He was resurrected to complete the age alive. And He promised His followers that they would not die dying. The last day of the old creation was arriving. Those who remained in the old covenant would still die dead. Those who entered the renewal of covenant would die living. Some would even be physically alive when the last day arrived. The last day judgement was the second death of the old covenant nation.

John 11:23-27

YLT 23 Jesus saith to her, `Thy brother shall rise again.’ 24 Martha saith to him, `I have known that he will rise again, in the rising again in the last day;’ 25 Jesus said to her, `I am the rising again, and the life; he who is believing in me, even if he may die, shall live; 26 and every one who is living and believing in me shall not die—to the age; 27 believest thou this?’ she saith to him, `Yes, sir, I have believed that thou art the Christ, the Son of God, who is coming to the world.’

Matthew 16:28

LITV 28 Truly I say to you, There are some standing here who in no way will taste of death until they see the Son of man coming in His kingdom. (not even biological death)

Yeshua told the high priest he would see Him in his day and that statement was unacceptable. The destruction of Jerusalem in 70 AD and the end of the old covenant was the final old covenant day of judgment. 930 + 70 = 1000. The Lord of the sabbath reigned it in alive. Yeshua rescued humanity from works mode. The destruction actually started 3 1/2 years earlier and Yeshua was actually born years before year one on our new creation calendar. We don’t know the exact dates but you get the picture.

Mark 14:61-65

ECB 61 – but he hushes and answers naught. Again the archpriest asks him, and words to him, Are you the Messiah, the Son of the Eulogized? 62
YAH SHUA AFFIRMS HIS DEITY
And Yah Shua says, I AM: and you see the Son of humanity sitting at the right of the dynamis, and coming in the clouds of the heavens. 63And the archpriest rips his tunic, and words, What need have we of any further witnesses? 64 You hear the blasphemy! What manifests to you? – and they all condemn him to be subject to death: 65 – and some begin to spit on him and to cover his face and to punch him, and word to him, Prophesy! – and the attendants slap him.

Nobody who believed the words of Yeshua died. They received eternal life. “Eternal life” is more precissely translated “life to the age”. Yeshua regenerated His people before the old age ended into the new age. We are in the new covenant age now. Those in the family of God today never die. They biologically die spiritually alive. Those who are not born from above die dead. It was spiritual death that got Adam cut off from the typical tree of life lest he arrive at the fulfilment of the typical age spiritually dead.

John 3:14-17

ECB 14
ETERNAL LIFE
And exactly as Mosheh exalted the serpent in the wilderness, even thus must the Son of humanity be exalted: 15 so that whoever trusts in him destructs not, but has eternal life [life to the age]. John 12:30-34 16 For Elohim loved the cosmos thus: that he gave his only birthed Son; that whoever trusts in him destructs not but has eternal life [life to the age]. 17 For Elohim apostolized not his Son into the cosmos to judge the cosmos; but that the cosmos be saved through him.

The Holy Spirit is the true eye opener.

John 3:3

LITV 3 Jesus answered and said to him, Truly, truly, I say to you, if one does not receive birth from above, he is not able to see the kingdom of God.

1 Corinthians 2:14

14 But the soulish human receives not things of the Spirit of Elohim: for they are foolishness to him: nor can he know, because they are spiritually discerned.

Romans 8:9

CLV 9 Yet you are not in flesh, but in spirit, if so be that God’s spirit is making its home in you. Now if anyone has not Christ’s spirit, this one is not His.”

John 12:31-32

ECB 31 Now is the judgment of this cosmos; now is the arch of this cosmos ejected: 32 and I, whenever I am exalted from the earth, draw all men to me. (The word men is added here. You could just as easily add the word nations rather than men).

Unbelieving Jews wanted to stay in the old covenant land of types rather than enter the new covenant reality in heaven. They despised God’s final Revelation through His Son. They rejected the new international body that does not depend on physical location. The throne room of grace is no longer in a box in physical Jerusalem. All of Jerusalem in heaven is pictured as the cube shaped room of grace.

Revelation 1:1

KJV1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:

Those who rejected the Revelation of their messiah did not eat from the tree of life and live to the never ending age. They were servants of sin (missing the target in Adam). The body of Christ did not miss the never ending age. We are now in the never ending church age. The new covenant doesn’t get another resurrection because the new covenant firstborn never dies. The new covenant is based on the resurrection of Yeshua, after He dies as the old covenant man. He already overcame the death of first born Adam in eschatos Adam. We are in the new body. The old covenant body is dead. Yeshua was resurrected to start the re-generation of the new, before the last generation of the old passed.

Revelation 22:19

ESV and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book.

Abraham was glad to see the day of Yeshua. Those hypocrites who claimed to be sons of Abraham were not glad to see the day of the Lord. They weren’t true-to-His-Word sons. They did not believe or keep the words of Yeshua. Verily, verily, I say to you first century Jews in the land who are believing my words…

John 8:51-58

YLT 51 verily, verily, I say to you, If any one may keep my word, death he may not see—to the age.’ 52 The Jews, therefore, said to him, `Now we have known that thou hast a demon; Abraham did die, and the prophets, and thou dost say, If any one may keep my word, he shall not taste of death—to the age! 53 Art thou greater than our father Abraham, who died? and the prophets died; whom dost thou make thyself?’ 54Jesus answered, `If I glorify myself, my glory is nothing; it is my Father who is glorifying me, of whom ye say that He is your God; 55and ye have not known Him, and I have known Him, and if I say that I have not known Him, I shall be like you—speaking falsely; but I have known Him, and His word I keep; 56 Abraham, your father, was glad that he might see my day; and he saw, and did rejoice.’ 57 The Jews, therefore, said unto him, `Thou art not yet fifty years old, and Abraham hast thou seen?’ 58 Jesus said to them, `Verily, verily, I say to you, Before Abraham’s coming—I am;’

If you say Yeshua’s day must be a 24 hour day then why make a day mean a year in the 70 weeks countdown to it? 70 weeks is 490 days not 490 years. How can a day mean a year? How can a day mean a thousand years?

Maybe the acceptable year of the Lord was the typical jubilee year that initiated the restoration and release. It culminated in the year He completed Adam’s failed millennial reign. It resulted in a celestial city that combined both the garden and the city imagery in the heavenly realm.

A city on a hill that is a light to the world becomes a heavenly high city with never ending light. It is the perpetual day there. It is kept incorruptible but extends from heaven to be the never-ending light of the world. Is our goal to live to eat of the typical tree and live to the age? Or do we eat of the spiritual tree and live forever now that the age has been culminated?

But New Jerusalem also has the garden imagery with an ever-bearing tree for the healing of all nations.  A tree that is in the middle of the city street and on both sides of the river extends its leaves and it’s fruit to the world.

The typical olive tree of Jerusalem was cursed for offering only the leaves of hypocrisy to the messiah. Even the leaves heal (and so produce fruit) in the celestial city. The leaves without fruit represented the shallow covering of hypocrisy in the earthly city. Yeshua doesn’t curse in the true city of God. The proclamation of Cyrus to rebuild the city was fulfilled by the proclamation by Yeshua to set the captives of earthly Jerusalem free to join Him in the true city.

The 70-week prophecy of Daniel 9:24-27 uses the day-year principle. The nation was anticipating their messiah as they counted down the 490 years. The 69 weeks, or the 483 years of Daniel culminates around A.D. 30 at the coming of the “anointed one”. The anointing of the Messiah was His baptism. It is not the time of His birth. He would start His ministry as the Messiah 40 days after His baptism. 8 days after the time of His birth is when the anti-typically begotten Lord of the sabbath typically entered the old covenant. Then at 70 years of age He put the land of types to rest for good.

The prophetic day-year principle points us to the anointed one, (the Messiah) around the year A.D. 30. This is the most obvious interpretation of Daniel’s 70 weeks. If 70 years is how long it took to bring sabbath rest to the disobedient land the first go round then maybe the lord of the sabbath took 70 years to completely fulfill sabbath rest in the second 490 years of disobedience too.

Like the final destruction for those in Hades, the destruction of Jerusalem was put on hold until the final 70 years was complete. There remained a sabbath rest for the people of God. That 70 years culminated in the permanent release of God’s people from the land of types. The fulfillment of types made Jew and Gentile alike. The typical land was put to rest. Nobody will ever enter the old covenant again.

In The Revelation, the new city is represented in the never ending 7th day. There is no night there. The sabbath day is perpetual. The prophetic 7th day in Genesis has no night and day either. Furthermore, there are no seas pictured in The Revelation of the new creation because seas represented Jew/Gentile division.

Daniel’s reference to the anointed one being cut off is most often identified with the death of Christ and has also been seen to mark the midpoint of the seventieth week, which is when Jeremiah’s new covenant is confirmed and atonement for iniquity is made. To a Jew, confirmation was the betrothal. Consummation was the marriage. What everyone argues about is the remaining 3 1/2 years of the 490. How was the second half of this last week fulfilled? Or is the prophecy still at 486 1/2 years and holding in betrothal? Has the typical old covenant still not been put to rest by the fulfillment of the 490 years of Daniel for the nation and the fulfilment of the 70 years of the Lord of the sabbath for Adam?? Do we still go to Hades in the body of Adam/Moses when we die?

The 490 year Jubilee coincided with Steven’s Holy Spirit filled vision of heaven opening for humanity and the Son standing at the right hand of the Father as the new first born high priest. Stephen’s inheritance was secure. It was at that Jubilee that the land of types rejected the Holy Spirit indwelling in the new creation. Those who rejected that final Jubilee super-sabbatical were very temporarily put on hold, like those in Hades. They stayed in the place of the dead ones to await the Gehenna destruction, while Yeshua waited to celebrate His 70th birthday with His atypical people. His 70th year with His undying human soul marked the rescue of Adam’s failed millennial reign, which meant life to the age, which means eternal life for humans. Those in the new human body never die. The best sabbath rest is to know that you won’t die dying and then go to Hades to be put on hold for some unknown amount of time. The body of Christ overcame the old covenant death and rose to heaven to make the way for His people.

John 14

YLT 1 `Let not your heart be troubled, believe in God, also in me believe; 2 in the house of my Father are many mansions; and if not, I would have told you; I go on to prepare a place for you; 3 and if I go on and prepare for you a place, again do I come, and will receive you unto myself, that where I am ye also may be; 4 and whither I go away ye have known, and the way ye have known.’ 5 Thomas saith to him, `Sir, we have not known whither thou goest away, and how are we able to know the way?’ 6 Jesus saith to him, `I am the way, and the truth, and the life, no one doth come unto the Father, if not through me; 7 if ye had known me, my Father also ye would have known, and from this time ye have known Him, and have seen Him.’ 8 Philip saith to him, `Sir, shew to us the Father, and it is enough for us;’ 9 Jesus saith to him, `So long time am I with you, and thou hast not known me, Philip? he who hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how dost thou say, Shew to us the Father? 10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father is in me? the sayings that I speak to you, from myself I speak not, and the Father who is abiding in me, Himself doth the works; 11 believe me, that I am in the Father, and the Father in me; and if not, because of the works themselves, believe me. 12 `Verily, verily, I say to you, he who is believing in me, the works that I do—that one also shall do, and greater than these he shall do, because I go on to my Father; 13 and whatever ye may ask in my name, I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son; 14 if ye ask anything in my name I will do it. 15 `If ye love me, my commands keep, 16 and I will ask the Father, and another Comforter He will give to you, that he may remain with you—to the age; 17 the Spirit of truth, whom the world is not able to receive, because it doth not behold him, nor know him, and ye know him, because he doth remain with you, and shall be in you. 18 `I will not leave you bereaved, I come unto you; 19 yet a little, and the world doth no more behold me, and ye behold me, because I live, and ye shall live; 20 in that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you; 21 he who is having my commands, and is keeping them, that one it is who is loving me, and he who is loving me shall be loved by my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.’ 22 Judas saith to him, (not the Iscariot), `Sir, what hath come to pass, that to us thou are about to manifest thyself, and not to the world?’ 23 Jesus answered and said to him, `If any one may love me, my word he will keep, and my Father will love him, and unto him we will come, and abode with him we will make; 24 he who is not loving me, my words doth not keep; and the word that ye hear is not mine, but the Father’s who sent me. 25 `These things I have spoken to you, remaining with you, 26 and the Comforter, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things, and remind you of all things that I said to you. 27 `Peace I leave to you; my peace I give to you, not according as the world doth give do I give to you; let not your heart be troubled, nor let it be afraid; 28 ye heard that I said to you—I go away, and I come unto you; if ye did love me, ye would have rejoiced that I said—I go on to the Father, because my Father is greater than I. 29 `And now I have said it to you before it come to pass, that when it may come to pass, ye may believe; 30 I will no more talk much with you, for the ruler of this world doth come, and in me he hath nothing; 31 but that the world may know that I love the Father, and according as the Father gave me command so I do; arise, we may go hence.
