The Carry-Through
Hebrews 10:14
Interlinear
For to one toward-carry He has matured into the thru-carry the ones being HOLYized
The King James’ Authorized Interpretation 14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.
Sacrifices were continually offered year after year, to carry God’s people one year closer to their goal. But the laws concerning animal sacrifices could not give “life to the age”. The animal sacrifices graciously delayed death under law. The law could not give life in the finality. Animal sacrifices could only carry the Jews to the age, but animal sacrifices could not grant “life to the age”. Death was coming. No animal could overcome their old covenant death. Animal sacrifices were always meant to be a temporary flesh covering and a continual reminder of the inevitable death that remained on them.
If an animal sacrifice could overcome the death and grant life to the age, then only one would have been needed. Every animal sacrifice was yet another confirmation that their death in the flesh was coming too. The one sacrifice of God’s Son arrived at just the right time, to carry all the chosen Hebrews through, alive. Jesus was not sacrificed year after year and He will never be sacrificed again. His one sacrifice carried all His chosen people to the age alive. He alone overcame their old covenant death by way of His Holy Spirit resurrection. He carried them through alive, in the new. The same Holy Spirit that gave life to His mortal Jewish body was sent to all the chosen Jews. John 2:18-19, Luke 24:49

In fact, all four biblical appearances of this Greek word were written to the Hebrews: in 7:3, 10:1, 10:12 and 10:14. It is a compound word made from two words: through and carry. Just like the phrase “lasting to the age” is translated as ‘everlasting’ in KJV of John 3:16, so is the phrase “into the through carry”. The phrase “into the through carry” is translated as ‘for ever’ in King James’ Version of Hebrews 10:14. To the age did result in eternal life, when carried through by the Messiah. Life to the age in the thru-carry of the Messiah resulted in everlasting life for all God’s chosen people.
This compound word ‘thru-carry’ is used 4 times when addressing the reborn Hebrews. The Hebrews, who were typically in their diaspora, were now being carried through to maturity together. These first century born-again Hebrews were all being united into one new covenant body, by way of the Holy Spirit Jesus sent to them. For some seemingly unknown reason, Jesus actually did send His Holy Spirit to His chosen people in old covenant Jerusalem. Is it possible that God’s chosen people were being born again and sanctified in the carry-through of their Messiah, in order to arrive alive to the ripe old age of 1000.
Typically they were all destined to arrive to the age dead. God didn’t take His people to the 500-year line and leave them there to die, even though they deserved to be left to die in diaspora. God covered for their failures and then let them reform in the flesh, after His 70 make-up years were fulfilled. So why would He let His people die at their 1000-year line? Didn’t Jesus’ ministry to the Jews in the land appear to His chosen people as grace upon grace? Jesus told the Jews He would lose none that were His. None of the elect children of God would perish “to the age”. Jesus sent the Holy Spirit from heaven to the Jews to carry them through in the new.
The half-time break was when God provided 70 years to make up for their 490 years of missing sabbaths. At the start of every Jubilee, the original sabbatical year was supposed to be recounted. They missed the recounting of 10 Jubilees, among the 70 missed sabbaticals. Through Daniel, God promised the Jews a second half, after their 70 years of missed land sabbaticals were fulfilled by God. It was God’s half-time show. God Himself provided a way for a new generation of Jews to reassemble for their second 490-year stint in the flesh. It was God’s half-time sabbath fulfillment. What would God do to fulfill their millennial sabbath?
The second 490 years was their second regeneration in the flesh. Just as the first 40-year regeneration in the wilderness landed dead after 490 years of failure, so did the second regeneration of Jews in the flesh. Life to the goal line was only carried through by the Son of God. Since flesh and blood could not inherit the kingdom, God’s Son completed His 70 covenant years in His new covenant, in order to rescue the chosen Jews from landing dead for the second time. There is no returning from the second death. Jesus took 70 years to transition His people out of His old covenant, in order to fulfill their types in His new.
Only Jesus could have arrived alive in the old covenant, because the Holy Spirit remained on Him. Jesus not only rescued the Jews, He rescued all the chosen Hebrews too, not to mention salvation for all His chosen people among the Gentiles. Jesus became the final sabbath rest. His covenant re-formation into the finality included all 12 tribes and their proselytes. His resurrection included the whole body of God’s chosen people. Not just some from a tribe or two or three – Hosea 11:1.

– One sacrifice carried the reborn Hebrews through
Jesus matured to completion the born again Hebrews, in His non-typical covenant creation. The law couldn’t mature them to the age alive. After Jesus’ death and ascension, He sent the Holy Spirit to Jerusalem. The 12 tribes and their proselytes had gathered in Jerusalem to celebrate their flesh-birth as a nation. The born-again Jews arrived alive at the completion of their old covenant age. Those who were previously dead and dying under law were given life to the age. They were carried through by the faith of their Messiah. Those who remained under law to the age, were DOA in AD 70. The law couldn’t give life to the flesh and blood Jews, not the first time they entered the land or the second time they entered the land. The Holy Spirit gave life to the born again Jews, no longer in the flesh. Should they now return to the flesh so they can die? Is that God’s plan for His chosen people? Is a third land death in the works?
If Hebrews wasn’t addressed to the born-again Hebrews in their typical diaspora, then who was it written to? Does anything mean something to anyone anymore? Have we all lost our God given minds? Let my people think rightly. It is unholy to think that God gave you a brain for someone else to belittle it. Follow the truth with your God-given mind of Christ. Don’t brainlessly follow your mind-abusing captors who tell you it is arrogant or fleshly to think too deeply about scripture. As if it is less arrogant to be forced to take their ‘Word’ for it. They will seduce you into their ‘Way’ of thinking in the shallowness of their flesh appeal. You are sure to be captivated by vain philosophers if you don’t think it through. The appeal of the flesh still leads to slavery.
The church is not being united by a flesh regeneration. Teaching about another necessary flesh regeneration for God’s people (it would be a third one) divides the church body. The church is one living body in the heavenly realm of the Holy Spirit birth. Jesus did not tell Nicodemus you must be regenerated in the flesh for a third time thousands of years from now. The old covenant hold-outs rejected Jesus because He did not teach about ruling in their millennium in the flesh. Both the generation of Moses and the generation of Daniel required 40 and 70 years of regeneration in the flesh, respectively. Then the the 12 tribes entered and the Jews re-entered the typical land, in that order of course – Hosea 11:12. God had required a new generation in the flesh even before their first land entrance. The second regeneration in the flesh was very partial.
Nicodemus lived in the land of Israel by way of the second re-generation of the Jews. Like the first regeneration, the second one also ended after 490 years of offenses. Unlike the first one, the second entrance into the land didn’t include all 12 tribes. After Pentecost, the first century generation of Jews was being spiritually regenerated, for the first time in history, by way of the Holy Spirit Jesus specifically sent to them, as His gift of grace. Those in this first resurrection were not harmed by the second death. The second death of the old covenant occupation was actually a relief to the born again Jews. There was a first (spiritual regeneration of all God’s chosen people) and a second (flesh) resurrection going on at the same time. The Hebrews in diaspora had hoped to return to the land to complete the second flesh and blood resurrection of all Israel. Kingdom rule in the second flesh resurrection was not to be. Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to save His people from their dead end.
Nobody in the land was in their first flesh and blood resurrection. That resurrection failed 500 years back. Everyone in the first century land was in their second flesh and blood resurrection. After 70 years of non-stop sabbaticals, the Jews were allowed to re-enter the land. Jesus explained to the teacher of Israel that the Holy Spirit regeneration was the one that was required in order for the Jews to see or enter the Kingdom that was at hand. He said nothing about a third flesh resurrection in order to reign in the kingdom. Those who tried to rule in their millennium in their second old covenant flesh body have already died trying. Their second land occupation ended with their second death. Being expelled from the land for the second time was the death of the flesh and blood body of Jews. There is no third old covenant resurrection, in the flesh, followed by a third old covenant death, in the near or distant future, for God’s chosen people. Jesus lost none that were His. All God’s chosen people were born again before the end.
Colossians 2:8-19 – Jew and Gentile alike
CLV 8 Beware that no one shall be despoiling you through philosophy and empty seduction, in accord with human tradition, in accord with the elements of the world, and not in accord with Christ, 9 for in Him the entire complement of the Deity is dwelling bodily [in the new covenant body which is biblically no longer in the flesh]. 10 And you are complete in Him, Who is the Head of every sovereignty and authority, 11 in Whom you were circumcised also with a circumcision not made by hands, in the stripping off of the body of flesh in the circumcision of Christ.” 12 Being entombed together with Him in baptism, in Whom you were roused together also through faith in the operation of God, 13 Who rouses Him from among the dead, you also being dead to the offenses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He vivifies us together jointly with Him, dealing graciously with all our offenses, 14 erasing the handwriting of the decrees against us, which was hostile to us, and has taken it away out of the midst, nailing it to the cross, 15 stripping off the sovereignties and authorities, with boldness He makes a show of them, triumphing over them in it.” 16 Let no one, then, be judging you in food or in drink or in the particulars of a festival, or of a new moon, or of sabbaths, 17 which are a shadow of those things which are impending – yet the body is the Christ’s. 18 Let no one be arbitrating against you, who wants, in humility and the ritual of the messengers, to parade what he has seen, feignedly, puffed up by his fleshly mind, 19 and not holding the Head, out of Whom the entire body, being supplied and united through the assimilation and ligaments, is growing in the growth of God.”
Jesus died so those under law could join His ongoing resurrection of the entire body of His people. His resurrection was by way of the Holy Spirit. It was the carry-through of His body, onward to covenant maturity. Adam wasn’t allowed to live to 1000, lest he live to the age in typical flesh and blood, while remaining spiritually dead. His body would have perished at 1000 years of age. Adam spiritually died the day he broke God’s law in the garden. Eschatos Adam took his place on the cross. Only the new covenant firstborn could carry the entire body of His people through alive. Everyone who remained in the old covenant firstborn was DOA at the millennial Jubilee. The entire old covenant body arrived dead. There was only One Way to pay off their debts before the due date. Forgiveness wasn’t free under law. By law all debts had to be paid on time.
Genesis 3:22-24
YLT 22 And Jehovah God saith, `Lo, the man was as one of Us, as to the knowledge of good and evil; and now, lest he send forth his hand, and have taken also of the [typical] tree of life, and eaten, and lived to the age,’ [in the flesh] — 23 Jehovah God sendeth him forth from the garden of Eden to serve the ground from which he hath been taken; 24 yea, he casteth out the man, and causeth to dwell at the east of the garden of Eden the cherubs and the flame of the sword which is turning itself round to guard the way of the tree of life.
The typical age was put on hold until Jesus opened the gates of the spirit-realm holding place, which was Hades. There were no actual flesh bodies waiting in Hades, but they were waiting bodily, to be released from their old covenant captivity. Their old covenant flesh and blood body sent them there. The entire body of God’s people was redeemed from that death by Jesus’ old covenant death on the cross. The born again Pharisees wanted to continue in their flesh body reformation by circumcising every body. The teacher of the old covenant Jews imagined another flesh birth too. Nicodemus was corrected by Jesus while they were both in the old covenant. The new covenant Pharisees were corrected by the Jerusalem council while the temple still had standing.
Matthew 16:17-19
YLT 17 And Jesus answering said to him, `Happy art thou, Simon Bar-Jona, because flesh and blood did not reveal it to thee, but my Father who is in the heavens. 18 `And I also say to thee, that thou art a rock, and upon this rock I will build my assembly, and gates of Hades shall not prevail against it; 19 and I will give to thee the keys of the reign of the heavens, and whatever thou mayest bind upon the earth shall be having been bound in the heavens, and whatever thou mayest loose upon the earth shall be having been loosed in the heavens.’
The born again Hebrews in their typical diaspora opened the gates to the nations. The chosen apostles are pictured as the foundation of the new Jerusalem. The Jew that carried them all through is the Jewish Messiah. He gave His foundational authority to the first century Jews, while they were still in the typical Jerusalem. He carried them through by fulfilling all their types with them. He was preparing their place in heaven while they were Holy-Spirit-enabled to build with Him in that realm.
Revelation 21:9-27
YLT 9 And there came unto me one of the seven messengers, who have the seven vials that are full of the seven last plagues, and he spake with me, saying, `Come, I will shew thee the bride of the Lamb—the wife,’ 10 and he carried me away in the Spirit to a mountain great and high, and did shew to me the great city, the holy Jerusalem, coming down out of the heaven from God, 11 having the glory of God, and her light is like a stone most precious, as a jasper stone clear as crystal, 12 having also a wall great and high, having twelve gates, and at the gates twelve messengers, and names written thereon, which are those of the twelve tribes of the sons of Israel, 13 at the east three gates, at the north three gates, at the south three gates, at the west three gates; 14 and the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb. 15 And he who is speaking with me had a golden reed, that he may measure the city, and its gates, and its wall; 16 and the city lieth square, and the length of it is as great as the breadth; and he did measure the city with the reed—furlongs twelve thousand; the length, and the breadth, and the height, of it are equal; 17 and he measured its wall, an hundred forty-four cubits, the measure of a man, that is, of the messenger; 18 and the building of its wall was jasper, and the city is pure gold—like to pure glass; 19 and the foundations of the wall of the city with every precious stone have been adorned; the first foundation jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, chalcedony; the fourth, emerald; 20 the fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolite; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, topaz; the tenth, chrysoprasus; the eleventh, jacinth; the twelfth, amethyst. 21 And the twelve gates are twelve pearls, each several one of the gates was of one pearl; and the broad-place of the city is pure gold—as transparent glass. 22 And a sanctuary I did not see in it, for the Lord God, the Almighty, is its sanctuary, and the Lamb, 23 and the city hath no need of the sun, nor of the moon, that they may shine in it; for the glory of God did lighten it, and the lamp of it is the Lamb; 24 and the nations of the saved in its light shall walk, and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it, 25 and its gates shall not at all be shut by day, for night shall not be there; 26 and they shall bring the glory and the honour of the nations into it; 27 and there may not at all enter into it any thing defiling and doing abomination, and a lie, but—those written in the scroll of the life of the Lamb.
It is not Peter who is pictured at the pearly gates of heaven. It is the 12 tribes who opened the gates for all God’s elect. The Hebrews in diaspora had a synagogue in every city pre-evangelizing the nations. Peter, initially and reluctantly, accepted the first Gentile into the heretofore Jewish only new covenant. Paul took it much further and farther. Yet it was the 12 tribes in diaspora who are pictured as opening the gates to the nations. Just as the Jews were pre-evangelized by the law, so were the Gentiles. The law was the schoolmaster that led to Christ for Jew and Gentile alike. The law opened their eyes to the need for a carry-through to maturity, not under law. The Holy Spirit sent to them by their promised savior enabled them to arrive to the age spiritually alive, not children by flesh birth or by adoption, but born again into the heavenly family by the Holy Spirit. What is flesh is flesh and what is spirit is spirit.
Romans 8:15-16
CLV 15 For you did not get slavery’s spirit to fear again [in the flesh], but you got the spirit of sonship, in which we are crying, “Abba, Father!” 16 The spirit itself is testifying together with our spirit that we [new covenant people] are children of God.
Romans 8:9
CLV 9 Yet you are not in flesh, but in spirit, if so be that God’s spirit is making its home in you. Now if anyone has not Christ’s spirit, this one is not His.” [He lost none that were His.]
Hebrews 8:1-13
CLV 1 Now this is the sum of what is being said: Such a Chief Priest have we [born again Hebrews], Who is seated at the right of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens, 2 a Minister of the holy places and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitches, and not a man.” 3 For every chief priest is constituted to offer both approach presents and sacrifices. Whence it is necessary for This One also to have something which He may offer. [Jesus is high priest in the real temple in heaven] 4 Indeed, then, if He were on earth He would not even be a priest [even in glorified flesh on earth?], there being those who offer approach presents according to the law” [the temple pitched by man on dirt still had standing] 5 who, by an example and shadow, are offering the divine service of the celestials, according as Moses has been apprized when about to be completing the tabernacle. For see, He is averring, that you shall be making all “in accord with the model shown to you in the mountain.” 6 Yet now He has happened upon a more excellent ministry, in as much as He is the Mediator, also, of a better covenant, which has been instituted on better promises.” 7 For if that first one were unblamable, no place would have been sought for a second. ” 8 For, blaming them [The house of Israel broke their first covenant, not Pilate or Rome or Babylon or Egypt or me or you, though we all would have.], He is saying, “Lo! the days are coming, the Lord is saying, “And I shall be concluding with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah a new covenant [in this new covenant all God’s chosen people were born again and were being made holy by the Holy Spirit], 9 Not in accord with the [old one that is about to disappear] covenant which I make with their fathers In the day of My taking hold of their hand To be leading them out of the land of Egypt, Seeing that they [the house of Israel] do not remain in My covenant, And I neglect them, the Lord is saying, 10 For this is the covenant which I shall be covenanting with the house of Israel after those days, the Lord is saying: “Imparting My laws to their comprehension, On their hearts, also, shall I be inscribing them, And I shall be to them for a God, And they shall be to Me for a people.” [According to Jesus’ explanation to the teacher of the house of Israel, nobody enters the kingdom apart from being born again, by the Holy Spirit their Messiah sent to them in Jerusalem.] 11 And by no means should each be teaching his fellow citizen, And each his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord!’ For all shall be acquainted with Me, From their little to their great, [The Holy Spirit is the one essential for all alike, to know the Lord.] 12 For I shall be propitious to their injustices, And of their sins and their lawlessnesses should I under no circumstances still be reminded.” 13 In saying “new, He has made the former old. Now that which is growing old and decrepit is near its disappearance.”
Can you believe it? Hebrews was written to the born again Hebrews in their carry-through. We usually want to debate who wrote Hebrews rather than notice who it was so obviously addressed to. God inspired it to be written by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven, sent by the first born again Jew to ascend to heaven. That much we know. We also know other born again Jews were ascending to heaven, as they were being killed during their carry-thru. Jews who wanted to rule in the millennium in the flesh murdered the born again Jews no longer in the flesh. Just as Jesus said they would.
Revelation 6:9-11
YLT 9 And when he opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those slain because of the word of God, and because of the testimony that they held, 10 and they were crying with a great voice, saying, `Till when, O Master, the Holy and the True, dost Thou not judge and take vengeance of our blood from those dwelling upon the land?’ 11 and there was given to each one white robes, and it was said to them that they may rest themselves yet a little time, till may be fulfilled also their fellow-servants and their brethren, who are about to be killed—even as they.
Matthew 5:10-13
YLT 10 `Happy those persecuted for righteousness’ sake—because theirs is the reign of the heavens. 11 `Happy are ye whenever they may reproach you, and may persecute, and may say any evil thing against you falsely for my sake— 12 rejoice ye and be glad, because your reward is great in the heavens, for thus did they persecute the prophets who were before you. 13 `Ye are the salt of the land, but if the salt may lose savour, in what shall it be salted? for nothing is it good henceforth, except to be cast without, and to be trodden down by men.
Those who tried to remain in the old covenant lost their humanity way before AD 70. The destruction of the old covenant hold-outs was far from inhumane. It was the humane thing for God to do. It is impossible to enter the old covenant land today, because there is no old covenant. In saying “new, He has made the former old. Now that which is growing old and decrepit is near its disappearance.” Hebrews 8:13 – 2 Thessalonians 1:7
Matthew 23:37
YLT 37 `Jerusalem, Jerusalem, that art killing the prophets, and stoning those sent unto thee …
Acts 7:54-60
YLT 54 And hearing these things, they were cut to the hearts, and did gnash the teeth at him; 55 and being full of the Holy Spirit, having looked stedfastly to the heaven, he saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God, 56 and he said, `Lo, I see the heavens having been opened, and the Son of Man standing on the right hand of God.’ 57 And they, having cried out with a loud voice, stopped their ears, and did rush with one accord upon him, 58 and having cast him forth outside of the city, they were stoning him —and the witnesses did put down their garments at the feet of a young man called Saul— 59 and they were stoning Stephen, calling and saying, `Lord Jesus, receive my spirit;’ 60 and having bowed the knees, he cried with a loud voice, `Lord, mayest thou not lay to them this sin;’ and this having said, he fell asleep.
Matthew 18:21-22 – old covenant forgiveness until the second 490 ended
YLT 21 Then Peter having come near to him, said, `Sir, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him—till seven times?’ 22 Jesus saith to him, `I do not say to thee till seven times, but till seventy times seven.
