Genesis 1:31

Romans 7:11-13

YLT ¹¹ for the sin, having received an opportunity, through the command, did deceive me, and through it did slay me; ¹² so that the law, indeed, is holy, and the command holy, and righteous, and good. ¹³ That which is good then, to me hath it become death? let it not be! but the sin, that it might appear sin, through the good, working death to me, that the sin might become exceeding sinful through the command,

Angels are sons of God who were created in the heavenly realm before Adam was created. Evidently, Angels were created with the ability to know good and evil and the ability to do wrong.

Humans are sons of God created in the earthly realm and they are created able to know good and evil and sin. The knowledge of good and evil revealed Adam’s propensity to sin. His fall opened his eyes to his depravity and set his destiny. He was already naked before he ate. That eye opener did not make him sin. He sinned before he knew. The sin he decided to do opened his eyes to his depravity. He realized his nakedness by his behavior. Babies aren’t sinners but they are born depraved of clothing. They eventually realize it one way or another. Animal skin would cover adult humanity until eschaton Adam arrived to redeem the human body and clothe it in righteousness. Animal skins were as temporary as Hades for the old covenant human body. New covenant clothing changed humanity’s doom.

Both Angels and humans were made with the potential to sin. Humans procreate biologically but the image of God in humanity is not biologically made. People are not born Christians or acting like Christians. Their parents raise them into awareness of their depravity whether they like it or not. Their parents teach them to do good and eventually they do what their parents warned them not to do. Their eyes are opened that they do bad too. Just like Adam, all heaven bound people need the new covenant creation. They have to die spiritually alive. Nobody dies biologically alive.

Angels don’t procreate with each other but can take on earthly bodies and procreate with those in the corporate human body, i.e., daughters of Adam. If the mother’s identity determined the baby’s identity then that offspring would have been born human. But the nephilim were in a class of their own. The offspring were not more angels made for heaven and none were redeemed. They crossed human boundaries like their fallen fathers. They had super-human strength and size but they were confined to earth. Human offspring can even become greater than the un-fallen angels in heaven. The kingdom of heaven forever increases in population this way. The body of angels did not fall as a whole like humanity did. But the fallen ones did await judgement with humanity. All old creation humans died and waited in Hades rather than go to heaven.

Genesis 2:17 (In the old creation, all humans died while still within the day of dying)

YLT ¹⁷ and of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, thou dost not eat of it, for in the day of thine eating of it—dying thou dost die.’ 

Adam did not reach the thousand year age of consummation. He died in it. Israel’s day of consummation was represented by their thousand year jubilee, which occurred in the fall of AD 70. The old covenant people went to their second death when all their festivals were fulfilled. They didn’t just die in the process of dying. At 1000, they died dead at the end of the day. The typical process ended. Jews who transitioned to their new creation revelation went to eternal life at the end of the age. When they biologically died they were spiritually living, so they went to heaven. That was the goal. The body of Christ is eternal. The body of Adam was on hold in Hades.

Adam missed his goal and died while in the process of dying. He was graciously and temporarily put on hold in Hades before he reached his millennial age. As the head of the body of humanity he would have taken humanity to permanent death at the end of the day.

At half time for national humanity, the old covenant land was put to rest for 70 years. Then the second 490 years of their day resumed. The end of their day would put an end to their animal sacrifice. Animal death was temporary forgiveness in the old body. That temporary shelter of animal skin was put to permanent ‘rest’, at the destruction of the temple complex. Paul did not want to be found naked at that time so he put on the white robe of righteousness provided by the messiah. Those who did not transition to the new covenant were found naked when the temporary animal covering permanently ceased in AD 70. The new head human keeps His human body covered in His human righteousness. It surpassed the incessant animal sacrifice.

Jesus took Adam’s nakedness and nailed that old creation knowledge of good and evil to the cross. That knowledge legally held Adam. Jesus turned it around to redeem Adam. Adam broke the law of the garden and realized his depravity. The Holy Spirit opened humanity’s eyes to the knowledge of their new covenant clothing. The old human body no longer has clothes. It was found naked in AD 70. It actually doesn’t even exist anymore. There is no old covenant insufficient man. The new king of humanity gave His people a good consciousness. The new body is not depraved. The head of humanity has open eyes and is rightly clothed in humanity, because He became ‘woke’ under God’s law legally. He only died naked as Adam to resurrect his old covenant body from that death.

The curse of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil was fulfilled on the tree the savior died on. That tree was God’s making too. Jesus was illegally put to death on it by those who claimed to see under law, but were spiritually blind. When they realized they were actually naked, it was too late. It was the end of animal sacrifice for their covering. No generation will ever be as evil or as good. It was that transition event that both saved God’s people and condemned God’s people. There is only one body of humanity and it is covered. To know that is to know God by way of His Good Spirit; not by way of disobedience to His law. That is how we know our depravity.

Genesis 3:4-7

YLT ⁴ And the serpent saith unto the woman, `Dying, ye do not die, ⁵for God doth know that in the day of your eating of it—your eyes have been opened, and ye have been as God, knowing good and evil.’ ⁶ And the woman seeth that the tree is good for food, and that it is pleasant to the eyes, and the tree is desirable to make one wise, and she taketh of its fruit and eateth, and giveth also to her husband with her, and he doth eat; ⁷ and the eyes of them both are opened, and they know that they are naked, and they sew fig-leaves, and make to themselves girdles.

First Adam was commissioned to rule the world with God. Eschaton Adam is sent from heaven to do the same. He grew up under law and succeeded where Adam failed. He took God’s name upon Himself and was glorified by God. He then obediently died on the tree to rescue ‘Eve’ from her disobedience and to cover her in the glory of His name. The Hebrews had accepted God’s marriage proposal at Sinai, but then their eyes were not yet open to the fact that they could not keep it. Though the blind ones still claimed to be able to keep it.

John 17:3 (The word translated ‘send’ can be translated ‘commission’. Jesus fulfilled the great commission of original Adam. He ruled the talking animals and rescued His bride rather than fall with her. He gave life to humanity rather than death. The mother of all the living is the body of Christ which is the church.)

YLT ³ and this is the life age-during, that they may know Thee, the only true God, and him whom Thou didst send—Jesus Christ;

Jesus came to give life in knowing God, not death in knowing ourselves, by the failure to keep the law, like Adam and Israel. Who told you you were naked?

Genesis 3:5 (This Greek LXX to English version is rendered gods instead of God in keeping with Jewish tradition of Angels being called gods)

John 17:4-12

ECB ⁴ I glorified you on the earth: I completed/shalamed the work you gave me to do. ⁵ And now, O Father, glorify me with your own self with the glory I had with you ere the cosmos was. ⁶ I manifested your name to humanity whom you gave me from the cosmos: yours they are, and you gave them me; and they guarded your word. ⁷ Now they know that all – as much as ever you gave me are of you: ⁸ for I gave them the rhema you gave me; and they took them; and know truly that I come from you; and they trust that you apostolized me. ⁹ I ask for them: I ask not for the cosmos, but for those you gave me; for they are yours: ¹⁰ and all mine are yours, and yours are mine; and I am glorified in them. ¹¹ And now I am no more in the cosmos; but these are in the cosmos: and I come to you. Holy Father, guard in your own name those whom you gave me, that they be one, exactly as we. ¹² When I was with them in the cosmos I guarded them in your name: those you gave me, I guarded; and none of them is lost except the son of destruction – to fulfill/shalam the scripture.

The word translated “lost” is the Greek word for perish. It can only metaphorically be translated “lost”. It was only Judas, out of all the Jews Jesus chose, who perished. Jesus chose Judas as a traitor not as a true son. None of them perished …

ἀπόλλυμι

Those who believe in an eternal perishing in Hell render ἀπόλλυμι metaphorically. To them all “lost” people die dying and never reach the age of completion. Second death is not the death of death. Second death makes dying eternal. But there is no spiritual death in the body of Christ. The new humanity lives and never dies. The old humanity was destroyed in AD 70. Jesus conquered both the death of Adam and Israel and gave eternal life. Adam was the old covenant individual and Israel was the old covenant church. Jesus is the head human of the new covenant body of God’s people.

John 3:16 (ECB translates ἀπόλλυμι as ‘destructs’ they translate ‘life to the age’ as ‘eternal life’ they translate ‘only begotten’ as ‘only birthed’)

ECB ¹⁶ For Elohim loved the cosmos thus: that he gave his only birthed Son; that whoever trusts in him destructs not but has eternal life.

Original Adam was not begotten by God. Only the eschaton Adam was. To know Him is to know the tree He died on. He died in the old covenant city of God in order to rescue old creation humanity and resurrect it into Israel’s promised new covenant.

Jeremiah 31:31-33 (At Pentecost the new proposal was written on the Jewish heart by the Spirit of creation. The new covenant ‘Moses’ sent the Spirit of the Law down from heaven that day. The glory of His face to face with God is not fading. Nor did He disobey as Moses did. Jesus entered the eternal promised land in heaven. Joshua and Jesus are both Yeshua in Hebrew. He fulfilled both Moses and Joshua.)

CLV ³¹ Lo, days are coming, an affirmation of Yahweh, And I have made with the house of Israel And with the house of Judah a new covenant, ³² Not like the covenant that I made with their fathers, In the day of My laying hold on their hand, To bring them out of the land of Egypt, In that they made void My covenant, And I ruled over them–an affirmation of Yahweh.” ³³ For this [is] the covenant that I make, With the house of Israel, after those days, An affirmation of Yahweh, I have given My law in their inward part, And on their heart I do write it, And I have been to them for Elohim, And they are to me for a people.”

Hebrews 8:1-13 (This was written to the Hebrews about to get the new covenant for both Israel and Judah, by way of the eternal high priest. Adam failed to become the eternal priest of humanity (God’s people). We (God’s people) can only come to know God and live through Yeshua.)

CLV ¹ Now this is the sum of what is being said: Such a Chief Priest have we, Who is seated at the right of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens, ² a Minister of the holy places and of the true tabernacle. which the Lord pitches, and not a man.” ³ For every chief priest is constituted to offer both approach presents and sacrifices. Whence it is necessary for This One also to have something which He may offer. ⁴Indeed, then, if He were on earth He would not even be a priest, there being those who offer approach presents according to the law” ⁵ who, by an example and shadow, are offering the divine service of the celestials, according as Moses has been apprized when about to be completing the tabernacle. For see, He is averring, that you shall be making all “in accord with the model shown to you in the mountain.” ⁶Yet now He has happened upon a more excellent ministry, in as much as He is the Mediator, also, of a better covenant, which has been instituted on better promises.” ⁷ For if that first one were unblamable, no place would have been sought for a second. ” ⁸ For, blaming them, He is saying, “Lo! the days are coming,the Lord is saying, “And I shall be concluding with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah a new covenant, ⁹ Not in accord with the covenant which I make with their fathers In the day of My taking hold of their hand To be leading them out of the land of Egypt, Seeing that they do not remain in My covenant, And I neglect them,the Lord is saying, ¹⁰ For this is the covenant which I shall be covenanting with the house of Israel after those days,the Lord is saying: “Imparting My laws to their comprehension, On their hearts, also, shall I be inscribing them, And I shall be to them for a God, And they shall be to Me for a people.” ¹¹ And by no means should each be teaching his fellow citizen, And each his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord!’ For all shall be acquainted with Me, From their little to their great, ¹² For I shall be propitious to their injustices, And of their sins and their lawlessnesses should I under no circumstances still be reminded.” ¹³ In saying “new, He has made the former old. Now that which is growing old and decrepit is near its disappearance.”

Hosea 2:16-19 (The new betrothal lived to the age and included the nations)

Acts 10:11-16 (Peter was informed that the nations – all creations – were included in his new Jewish body covenant)
