The Cosmic Enlightenment/Reformation of the Hebrews Can’t Be Repeated.

Martin Luther called Hebrews 6:4-6 a “hard knot” in the Bible, because it seems to deny repentance to those who sin grievously after joining the church. In the third century, a schism formed because an elder in Rome, Novatus, denied restoration to lapsed Christians on the basis of these verses. Many Christians who read this passage are struck with fear, wondering, “Does this apply to me, since I have backslidden in my walk with the Lord?”

Hebrews 6:4-6

CLV 4 For it is impossible for those once enlightened, besides tasting the celestial gratuity and becoming partakers of holy spirit, 5 and tasting the ideal declaration of God, besides the powerful deeds of the impending eon, 6 and falling aside, to be renewing them again to repentance while crucifying for themselves the Son of God again and holding Him up to infamy.”

It is not possible to covenantally reform the Hebrews again. Will their new covenant be reformed again? The impending new covenant age did not fail. The sabbatism that remained for the Hebrews to enter into actually arrived on time. The sabbath types were put to rest when the Lord of the sabbath fulfilled His 70 years.

Those once enlightened were the Jews. Jesus came to be the light of their world to reform their cosmos. The writer to the Hebrews said Jesus wouldn’t or couldn’t enlighten them again. Those who believed were not destroyed but rather reformed to live to the age. The humans who loved the darkness rather than the light were the cosmic-reformation rejectors. Jesus came to make a covenant transition from terrestrial to celestial Jerusalem. He did not make His creation new from nothing.

John 3:12-21

CLV 12 If I told you [fellow Jews] of the terrestrial and you are not believing, how shall you be believing if I should be telling you [fellow Jews] of the celestial? 13 And no one has ascended into heaven except He Who descends out of heaven, the Son of Mankind Who is in heaven.” 14 And, according as Moses exalts the serpent in the wilderness, thus must the Son of Mankind be exalted, 15 that everyone believing on Him should not be perishing, but may be having life [to the impending age of 1000 years as a nation] eonian.” 16 For thus God loves the world [cosmos], so that He gives His only-begotten Son, that everyone who is believing in Him should not be perishing, but may be having life [to the impending age of 1000] eonian.” 17 For God does not dispatch His Son into the world [cosmos] that He should be judging the world [cosmos], but that the world [the about to be dying dead Jewish cosmos] may be [being] saved through Him.” 18 He who is believing in Him is not being judged; yet he who is not believing has been judged already, for he has not believed in the name of the only-begotten Son of God.” 19 Now this is the judging: that the light has come into the world [the Jewish cosmos], and [Jewish] men love the darkness rather than the light, for their acts were wicked.” 20 For everyone who is committing bad things is hating the light and is not coming to the light, lest his acts may be exposed.” 21 Now he who is doing the truth is coming to the light that his acts may be made manifest, for they have been wrought in God.”

The heavenly gratuity was the gift of life brought by the Holy Spirit. Jesus died as a Jewish man to send the gift of the Holy Spirit to the 12 tribes who had gathered in Jerusalem for Pentecost. The reformation day came on the same day that they were celebrating the typical formation of their nation. The un-reforming Hebrews said that the spiritual reformation of the nation was merely a group bout of drunkenness, even though the sun was at it’s high point in the sky. Noon was called the third hour of the day. The unbelievers called Jesus’ new Holy Spirit creation an inebriation festival of chaos rather than a divine reorganization of the 12 tribes.

Those who rejected the enlightenment of Christ in the land, and rejected the gift of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost, and rejected the good news from their fellow Jews, could not hope for a second crucifixion in order to renew their old covenant position again. The impending age of 1000 was about to be consummated into the never-ending marriage, to the reformation man Himself. Jesus did not fail to reform the old covenant terrestrial marriage into an eternal celestial marriage.

He can not die for Jerusalem again in order to make His people a widow again. The terrestrial old covenant ended their widowhood with their remarriage to a new covenant man or in they died as a widow in their second old covenant death as a nation. The now reformed covenant doesn’t get set free again or end in widowhood again. It is impossible for the new covenant husbandman to die in heaven. Jesus died as the old covenant husbandman on earth. His death set His people free from the law of the marriage to the old terrestrial man. The widowed nation was set free to marry a new man in a new marriage covenant. The Gentiles were never in the old marriage covenant to God. They were proselytized and evangelized by the Hebrews in diaspora. Gentiles were joined to the Hebrew reformation that was created by one faithful Jewish man in the land.

1 Corinthians 15:46-47

CLV 46 But not first the spiritual, but the soulish, thereupon the spiritual.”  47 The first man [husbandman of the terrestrial land] was out of the earth, soilish; the second Man [husbandman of the celestial land] is the Lord out of heaven.”

1 Corinthians 15:46-47

YLT 46 but that which is spiritual is not first, but that which was natural, afterwards that which is spiritual. 47 The first man is out of the earth, earthy; the second man is the Lord out of heaven;

1 Corinthians 15:46-47

ECB 46 Rather the spiritual is not first; but the soulical – and then the spiritual. 47 The first human is dust from the earth; the second human is Adonay from the heavens.

The natural humans were not born again. They were not God’s people. They were causing trouble for God’s reformation people.

Jude 1:19-20

YLT 19 these are those setting themselves apart, natural men, the Spirit not having. 20 And ye, beloved, on your most holy faith building yourselves up, in the Holy Spirit praying,

CLV 15 This is not the wisdom coming down from above, but terrestrial, soulish, demoniacal. “

1 Corinthians 2:14

YLT 14 and the natural man doth not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for to him they are foolishness, and he is not able to know them, because spiritually they are discerned;

1 Corinthians 15:44-46

YLT 44 it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body; there is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body; 45 so also it hath been written, `The first man Adam became a living creature,’ the last Adam is for a life-giving spirit, 46 but that which is spiritual is not first, but that which was natural, afterwards that which is spiritual.

1 Corinthians 3:16

CLV 16 Are you not aware that you are a temple of God and the spirit of God is making its home in you?

Romans 8:9

CLV 9 Yet you are not in flesh, but in spirit, if so be that God’s spirit is making its home in you. Now if anyone has not Christ’s spirit, this one is not His.”

Mark 14:58

CLV 58 We hear Him saying that ‘I shall be demolishing this temple made by hands, and during three days I shall be building another not made by hands.'”

Jesus went to build New Jerusalem in heaven. It is cube shaped because it is the new covenant temple where God lives with all His people. The priesthood of all believers was given to the Hebrews in diaspora.

KJV 5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ. 6 Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded. 7 Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner, 8 And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed. 9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light; 10 Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy. 11 Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul; 12 Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation [episkopē].

ECB 26 otherwise he must have suffered often from the foundation of the cosmos: but now in the completion/shalom of the eon he manifests himself once to put away sin through the sacrifice of himself. 27 And as it is laid out for humanity to die once and after this the judgment: 28 thus the Messiah was offered once to offer the sins of many; and to them who await him he appears the second – apart from sin to salvation.
