Flesh and bone seems to refer to one human body or a member of the one human body.  In it’s first appearance in the Bible, Eve was Adam’s only other family member and she came from himself. The human body had two flesh and bone members in the one flesh and blood body of humanity.

Genesis 2:23

And Adam said, This [is] now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.

Genesis 29:14 Laban calls his sister’s son (Jacob), “bone and flesh” Jacob would marry “bone and flesh” and form the national human body called “Israel”.

And Laban said to him, Surely thou [art] my bone and my flesh. And he abode with him the space of a month.

Exodus 12:46 In this verse the use of flesh and bone applies to the Passover Lamb, whose blood was seen on the entry way to the family home. Final judgement on the old covenant family was temporarily set aside by the blood of animals. They did not eat the animal body with the blood in it, because the mortal soul is in the blood. They would wait to drink of the eternal soul of the fulfillment lamb. Then they would become one eternal human body.

In one house shall it be eaten; thou shalt not carry forth ought of the flesh abroad out of the house; neither shall ye break a bone thereof.

Chronicles-1 11:1 Israel claimed to be one family with David

Then all Israel gathered themselves to David unto Hebron, saying, Behold, we [are] thy bone and thy flesh.

Job 2:5 Job, being an ancient book, is most like Genesis chapter 1.  “His bone and flesh” refers to Job’s own body rather than his extended body, i.e., family.

But put forth thine hand now, and touch his bone and his flesh, and he will curse thee to thy face.

The newer phrase “flesh and blood” always seems to refer to those who were temporarily united under the Holy Law given through Moses. Maybe “flesh and bone” had slightly morphed into “flesh and blood” to refer specifically to the human family under Moses’ laws of flesh and blood sacrifice. Their national soul was defined by the law of Moses. According to the law, it (the soul) was in the blood. God’s word was the air they breathed. It got into their blood somehow and their heart pumped it throughout their national body, from it’s hard rock inception at Sinai to temple sacrifices on a stone alter. Their soul was in the concrete stage of development.

The Word of God eventually became flesh and sacrificed His holy human blood to release them from their failure to flesh it out in their own body (not a bone was broken). Or maybe flesh and blood meant anybody’s family by the time of the first century, since Jewish terminology had infiltrated all of Rome by then.  That is what it still means today.

If the only thing left of your body is flesh and bone you are dead;  if only bone then you’ve probably been dead a long time. If you are flesh and embalming fluid then the mortician has removed your blood and preserved your dead flesh for viewing.

The Egyptians preserved dead bodies for that person’s spirit or soul to use in their next life. I believe the eternally living soul is only in the body of Christ. It is not dependent on the typical body of Adam; call it “flesh and bone” or “flesh and blood”. The human family of God is preserved alive and incorruptible in another dimension called heaven. We’ve been to space already and haven’t found heaven there. All believers are already living in that heavenly family. They did not enter by way of flesh and blood birth or flesh and blood rebirth. That human family’s Holy Spirit birthed them into that spiritual realm of existence. It can’t be located in this realm. Unless you have the Holy Spirit you can’t perceive it or enter it.

We do know that “flesh and blood” did not inherit the kingdom. Only the Jews and their adopted Gentiles did (in the spiritual body of the resurrected Christ rather than in the old covenant flesh and blood/bone body of Moses). The eternal inheritance was granted by the Holy Spirit; not by genetics or animal sacrifice. Jesus’ old covenant sacrifice granted release from the marriage to the old covenant law. His human sacrifice did not grant life. The Holy Spirit He sent did. It was 53 days after He sacrificed His old covenant humanity before they joined Him in His new covenant life.

Life was granted in the new marriage covenant in two parts: the regeneration of the nation (typically in the wilderness but anti-typically in Jerusalem on Pentecost) and the crossing over (into the heavenly Jerusalem which extended from heaven to earth).

Jesus made them a member of His heavenly family by sending the Holy Spirit to them. The law of Christ written on the heart was the new and improved soul of the nation in transit. The life-giving Spirit entered their family “blood” through the heart of Israel on Pentecost. The stone heart of Israel was given to them by Moses on Pentecost. Jesus gave them His heart of flesh. Jesus breathing on them and Jesus telling them to drink His blood are two different metaphors for the same thing: receiving the eternal soul of Christ. The nation was spiritually reborn on their typical anniversary.

Israel in the land went into full flesh and blood sacrifice mode under the law of Moses. It was continual but temporary. It was only to the age. It was only till the end of the old covenant age, which was to the full (fulfillment) age of 1000. When Jesus arrived He called on Jews to give up the family way of ‘life’ covered in animal sacrifice, in order to gain eternal life in His spiritual family. His blood shed on the cross released the old covenant firstborn nation. It was specifically the Holy Spirit that gave the Jews life to the age, even if their typical flesh and blood family turned them into martyrs and shed their biological blood for claiming to be in a new spirit-born family of God. Their eternal soul was not dependent on their biological flesh and blood.

Luke 12:49-53

49 I came to be throwing fire into the land, and I wish it were already kindled? 50 For I have a baptism to be baptized with, and how am I distressed until it is accomplished! 51 Do you think that I came to give peace in the land? No, I say to you, but rather division; 52 from now onward there shall be five in one house divided—three against two, and two against three; 53 a father shall be divided against a son, and a son against a father, a mother against a daughter, and a daughter against a mother, a mother-in-law against her daughter-in-law, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.’

The Holy Spirit identified and set aside Jews from their “flesh” mode family, even though they were still in their biological body of first birth and still had genetic relatives. “You are no longer in the flesh”, may simply mean that the new creation is not the same old covenant flesh and blood or flesh and bone family it was called out of. Their life was not essentially in God’s flesh family that was dead and dying. They were in God’s spiritual family, being resurrected out of the graciously delayed yet still inevitable second death of Adam and Israel.

Eternal inheritance was being denied to those who did not personally apply the blood of the lamb and take up their post and follow Him. Eternal life was not being granted by the flesh-birth family of God that was about to die. The passover post covered in the blood of the lamb represented temporary release from the first born’s death in the old covenant body of humanity. Following Jesus out of the city meant accepting and overcoming that first born’s (Adam and Israel) family death, just as Jesus did, by way of the Holy Spirit. The new covenant first born will never die. The old first born had to die.

The old covenant first born was temporarily saved from his death by animal sacrifice. Animal sacrifice no longer delays the inevitable 1000 year age of judgement. Denial of the inevitable old covenant age of accountability only ended in destruction of the typical family body. The body of Christ alone was preserved by covenant resurrection. Destruction was for those outside of the resurrection. Removing the blood covered post from your old covenant house meant personal application. It was the only way to avoid the old covenant judgement that was coming upon the flesh and blood family of God. Flesh and blood family members became divided. The new family of God was Holy Spirit united. Sanctified means: set aside, declared holy or consecrated.

Flesh family rejection was par for the course toward the made-holy first-century Jews. Eternal life was being granted to the Holy Spirit Jews in the never-ending family of God. It was secured by Holy Spirit birth into the family of Christ, not flesh and blood or flesh and bone birth into Judaism. Jesus came to divide the fleshly Jews from the spiritual Jews, prior to the AD 70 culmination of the transition. We are no longer in the 1000 year count to the transition of covenants. Nobody is in the old covenant flesh family counting down their second 490 years, because the flesh and blood family of God doesn’t exist. It was put to an end in their second death.

Yes, Jesus had flesh and blood and bone post-resurrection. But biblically speaking, He was in the Holy-Spirit-birth new covenant, not the flesh and blood birth old covenant. Circumcision by the Holy Spirit doesn’t cut off your biological flesh with a flint knife. It re-births you into the new creation in fulfillment of typical 8th day circumcision of the flesh. 8th day circumcision in the old covenant only typified a new creation no longer in the flesh. The Holy Spirit actually granted it.

Betrothal was the 8th sabbath of Pentecost and marriage was the 8th day of Tabernacles. The last day of the last feast put the flesh types to rest permanently. It was probably 8 days after Jesus’ birthday into the flesh family of God. If He was born on day one of tabernacles, then He was typically circumcised on day 8 of tabernacles. 70 years later the spiritual new creation was fulfilled, no longer in the flesh. The types were put to rest. That was 70 years from His circumcision, not His birth. Circumcision marked the new covenant creation, not the flesh birth. Removal of the flesh was the sign of the new creation.

Romans 8:9

LITV 9 But you (plural you, meaning the spiritual family of God) are not in flesh, but in Spirit, since the Spirit of God dwells in you (plural you, meaning the new covenant family). But if anyone (Singular, meaning members of a family) has not the Spirit of Christ, this one (singular) is not His.

The four verses with “flesh and blood” :

1. Matthew 16:17 (YLT) (Old covenant flesh family did not reveal the messiah. The spiritual family did. The old covenant stubborn ones got their heads stuck in the flesh.)
And Jesus answering said to him, `Happy art thou, Simon Bar-Jona, because flesh and blood did not reveal it to thee, but my Father who is in the heavens.

2. 1 Corinthians 15:50 (YLT) (Old covenant flesh family of Israel in Adam or Moses did not inherit the kingdom, The new covenant spiritual family in Christ did.)
And this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood the reign of God is not able to inherit, nor doth the corruption inherit the incorruption;

3. Galatians 1:16 (YLT) (Paul did not run back to old covenant flesh family after the new covenant family opened his eyes. The head of the family Himself knocked Paul off his old flesh covenant high horse; maybe Paul was knocked off his dumb ass; smaller than a horse with bigger ears and no ability for human language. It’s possible Paul was walking and simply fell to his knees.) to reveal His Son in me that I might proclaim him good news among the nations, immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood

4. Hebrews 2:14 (YLT) (Jesus grew up in the old covenant family so He could rescue His people from that family before putting the old flesh family to death. He came down so we can go up.)
Seeing, then, the children have partaken of flesh and blood, he himself also in like manner did take part of the same, that through (“the”) death he might destroy him having the power of (“the”) death—that is, the devil—

Ephesians 5 is about functional family life in the spiritual body of Christ. In this chapter we are called to walk in the Spirit and imitate Christ because we are members of His body. The phrase “Flesh and bone” was first used before Adam and Eve fell into animal sacrifice. Christ and the church (called out ones) are more united than “flesh and bone” Adam and Eve before the fall. As a new creation, the church was spiritually betrothed to the resurrected ‘Adam’, in the new spiritual land of ‘Eden’, prepared in that realm, in heaven.

Adam was a type of Christ. Eve was a type of the church. When someone gets married they start a new family that didn’t previously exist. Their new marriage covenant creation comes out from their family of origin. The man and his wife didn’t come from nothing. They came from existing bodies. The place Jesus went to prepare didn’t come from nothing. Heaven already existed in another realm.

In the first century, the church was still being formed. The church was being made to stand upright as the bride of Christ, in betrothal. The church came out of the old covenant family of God. She was released from Adam’s old covenant side after fully formed eschaton Adam died, by way of His flesh and blood sacrifice, but the bride was not fully formed for marriage yet. The flesh and blood nation itself was being spiritually reformed into recognition in the image of Christ. The increasingly unrecognizable old humanity was being put to second death in the flesh.

The church in betrothal was being formed as the spiritual family of humanity, analogous to first Adam’s flesh and bone pre-fall family of humanity. The differences are: It was already a large family when eschaton Adam arrived. And there was no fall between betrothal and marriage. Eschaton Adam obediently joined ‘Eve’ in her death and rescued her by sacrificing Himself. The corporate widow was betrothed on Pentecost (holy nation) and fully stood in the Holy-Spirit-made covenant of Christ. The last Adam became a life giving spirit. The spirit of first Adam did not grant life to Eve. He joined her in the death he could not overcome.

The bride of Christ is pictured as the new city of Jerusalem in The Revelation. The new spiritual city is portrayed larger than all the typical promised land. It is also portrayed as an enormous temple of God (being cube shaped). God lives in His people by the Holy Spirit Jesus sent. This new creation body lives in heaven and on earth.

It was Jesus’ old covenant ‘flesh and blood’ life under law that died as Adam died on the cross. Jesus had no flesh and blood Jewish wife or Jewish children. He gave up that family life in order to set all His children free from the laws of festivals and sacrifices. Jesus alone in the ‘flesh and blood’ mode could have inherited the kingdom. But what’s a kingdom without people? There was no bride suitable for the Prince of Peace in that creation.

Isaiah 9:6-9

YLT 6 For a Child hath been born to us, A Son hath been given to us, And the princely power is on his shoulder, And He doth call his name Wonderful, Counsellor, Mighty God, Father of Eternity, Prince of Peace. 7 To the increase of the princely power, And of peace, there is no end, On the throne of David, and on his kingdom, To establish it, and to support it, In judgment and in righteousness, Henceforth, even unto the age, The zeal of Jehovah of Hosts doth this. 8 A word hath the Lord sent into Jacob, And it hath fallen in Israel. 9 And the people have known—all of it, Ephraim, and the inhabitant of Samaria, In pride and in greatness of heart …

The Holy Spirit was able to create a new covenant from the old (by way of Holy Spirit betrothal on their day of old covenant betrothal) because Christ died to release the (fallen in flesh and blood) bride from his side; as telos Adam. The new covenant didn’t require sacrifice after the marriage, but sacrifice was ongoing until marriage. The old city of Jerusalem was called to sacrifice her flesh and blood life of Judaism and become the spiritual bride of Christ: the New Jerusalem. It was the old covenant hold-outs who demanded more human sacrifice. They were trying to save their old covenant by sacrificing their new covenant brethren.

Even eschaton Adam didn’t claim His inheritance as a flesh and blood Jew. He put His old humanity to death to became a new covenant human; a heavenly human who prepared a place in His Father’s house in heaven, for His bride. Neither the bride on earth nor the place in heaven were ex nihilo.

Genesis 1:1

LITV 1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth;

Beginning is the Hebrew word – ἀρχή – archē – ar-khay’

2) the person or thing that commences, the first person or thing in a series, the leader

3) that by which anything begins to be, the origin, the active cause

4) the extremity of a thing

4a) of the corners of a sail

5) the first place, principality, rule, magistracy

5a) of angels and demons

Vine’s Expository Dictionary of New Testament Words

G746, arche

“a beginning” (its usual meaning), “first in time, order, or place,” is used to denote the extremities or “corners” of a sheet,  Acts 10:11; Acts 11:5. See BEGINNING.

(In Acts 10-11 the nations also entered the new creation by way of the creative Holy Spirit. Like the Hebrews, they did not enter the new creation ex nihilo either.)

Note: For the adjective akrogoniaios (from akros, “extreme, highest,” and No. 1), “a chief corner stone,” See CHIEF. They were laid so as to give strength to the two walls with which they were connected. So Christ unites Jew and Gentile, Ephesians 2:20; again, as one may carelessly stumble over the “corner stone,” when turning the “corner,” so Christ proved a stumbling stone to Jews, 1 Peter 2:6.

Original humanity was stuck in Adam’s sacrifice mode. Even after Adam married Eve, flesh and blood animal sacrifice continued. It was to be family ‘life’, covered in the blood of a temporary soul until the True Lamb of God covered them in His blood, with the eternal soul of humanity. The legal battle of flesh and blood v. spiritual family was decided in the court of Yahweh, in favor of the eternal family of Christ. The old body stuck in the flesh kept persecuting the spiritual family. So the old body went to their second death.

The anger of God came upon the flesh and blood Jews in AD 70. He cast fire into the land. They were the sons of disobedience who didn’t inherit the kingdom by way of flesh and blood. Even if they sacrificed themselves, they did it to try to keep their old covenant humanity. Only the flesh and blood sacrifice of the one true Jew could satisfy their continual flesh and blood sacrificial system, that never could inherit the kingdom.

Adam’s potential for eternal life was lost when he fell into animal sacrifice mode. Only the flesh and blood sacrifice of the messiah could get them out of that fall under law. Adam was supposed to stay in the garden and eat the fruit of the Spirit of creation. The law, holy as it is, worked disobedience and death; even the one law of the garden. Breaking the law was not in the Spirit of creation. It was anti-creation or disorderly conduct.

In the third century the phrase “flesh and bone” was added to Ephesians 5:30. Maybe this elaboration taken from the first creation account was added to the fulfillment creation account in order to defend the biological body from the error of gnosticism. The physical body is not evil in the new creation, as the gnostics taught, but it is not eternal either. It will perish along with it’s inhabitant unless the temporary occupant is reborn from above. Those who were reborn were called to leave the old covenant dead and dying body. “arise out of the dead and Christ will shine on you”.

Even Gentiles had to rise out of the spiritually dead family of humanity in diaspora

Ephesians 5

YLT 1 Become, then, followers of God, as children beloved, 2 and walk in love, as also the Christ did love us, and did give himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for an odour of a sweet smell, 3 and whoredom, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not even be named among you, as becometh saints; 4 also filthiness, and foolish talking, or jesting, —the things not fit—but rather thanksgiving; 5 for this ye know, that every whoremonger, or unclean, or covetous person, who is an idolater, hath no inheritance in the reign of the Christ and God. 6 Let no one deceive you with vain words, for because of these things cometh the anger of God upon the sons of the disobedience, 7 become not, then, partakers with them, 8 for ye were once darkness, and now light in the Lord; as children of light walk ye, 9for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, and righteousness, and truth, 10 proving what is well-pleasing to the Lord, 11 and have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of the darkness and rather even convict, 12 for the things in secret done by them it is a shame even to speak of, 13 and all the things reproved by the light are manifested, for everything that is manifested is light; 14 wherefore he saith, `Arouse thyself, thou who art sleeping, and arise out of the dead, and the Christ shall shine upon thee.’ 15 See, then, how exactly ye walk, not as unwise, but as wise, 16 redeeming the time, because the days are evil; 17 because of this become not fools, but—understanding what is the will of the Lord, 18 and be not drunk with wine, in which is dissoluteness, but be filled in the Spirit, 19 speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, 20 giving thanks always for all things, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, to the God and Father; 21 subjecting yourselves to one another in the fear of God. 22 The wives! to your own husbands subject yourselves, as to the Lord, 23because the husband is head of the wife, as also the Christ is head of the assembly, and he is saviour of the body, 24 but even as the assembly is subject to Christ, so also are the wives to their own husbands in everything. 25 The husbands! love your own wives, as also the Christ did love the assembly, and did give himself for it, 26 that he might sanctify it, having cleansed it with the bathing of the water in the saying, 27 that he might present it to himself the assembly in glory, not having spot or wrinkle, or any of such things, but that it may be holy and unblemished; 28 so ought the husbands to love their own wives as their own bodies: he who is loving his own wife—himself he doth love; 29 for no one ever his own flesh did hate, but doth nourish and cherish it, as also the Lord—the assembly, 30 because members we are of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones; [this verse was added in the third century] 31 `for this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined to his wife, and they shall be—the two—for one flesh;’ 32 this secret is great, and I speak in regard to Christ and to the assembly; 33 but ye also, every one in particular—let each his own wife so love as himself, and the wife—that she may reverence the husband.

Ephesians 6 refers to two more relationships we have other than man and wife: parents to children and masters to servants. Paul calls for restraint and submission in both relationships before moving on to the relationships we have in the spiritual realm. The spiritual battle is not with flesh and blood according to Paul. I bet it wasn’t won with flesh and bone either. The armor of God for the spiritual battle is represented by the same armor used in flesh and blood battle, but the sword of the spirit does not cut into enemy flesh and make him bleed. Paul says to put on all the armor to be able to stand on the evil day against the spiritual rulers of darkness. The fallen spiritual rulers were from the old covenant age that was about to end. Paul calls them. “rulers of this age”. Before the old covenant ended the church was severely persecuted. That was the day of evil that was at hand. Murdering God’s bride was second only to murdering Him. It was the most evil generation. The groom, who was preparing heavenly Jerusalem for His bride, would bring fire on the old Jerusalem. Old Jerusalem members murdered New Jerusalem members.

Ephesians 6:10-20 – Here is a verse with ‘blood and flesh’. It was the Jews who stirred up the Gentiles to bring tribulation on the church, so the church might have identified unbelieving Jews as their flesh and blood enemy. But their enemy was principally the adversary in the spirit realm; the prince and power of the old covenant age who wanted the new covenant church dead and incited on them the great tribulation.

YLT 10 As to the rest, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might; 11 put on the whole armour of God, for your being able to stand against the wiles of the devil, 12 because we have not the wrestling with blood and flesh, but with the principalities, with the authorities, with the world-rulers of the darkness of this age, with the spiritual things of the evil in the heavenly places; 13 because of this take ye up the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to resist in the day of the evil, and all things having done—to stand. 14 Stand, therefore, having your loins girt about in truth, and having put on the breastplate of the righteousness, 15 and having the feet shod in the preparation of the good-news of the peace; 16 above all, having taken up the shield of the faith, in which ye shall be able all the fiery darts of the evil one to quench, 17 and the helmet of the salvation receive, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the saying of God, 18 through all prayer and supplication praying at all times in the Spirit, and in regard to this same, watching in all perseverance and supplication for all the saints—
19 and in behalf of me, that to me may be given a word in the opening of my mouth, in freedom, to make known the secret of the good news, 20 for which I am an ambassador in a chain, that in it I may speak freely—as it behoveth me to speak.

By the time Jude is written, some or all of the fallen angels are said to be kept in unseen bonds awaiting the end of the anti-typical exodus, also called the second exodus. After God took His people out of the bondage of typical Jerusalem, He prepared a heavenly Jerusalem, before He destroyed the unbelievers still holed up in the typical Jerusalem. The judgement in the spiritual world is linked with the destruction of those who still did not believe, even after the “second exodus”.

Jude 1:5-6

CLV 5 Now I am intending to remind you, you who once are aware of all, that the Lord, when saving the people out of the land of Egypt, secondly destroys those who believe not.” 6 Besides, messengers who keep not their own sovereignty, but leave their own habitation, He has kept in imperceptible bonds under gloom for the judging of the great day.

Those souls who did not have the Holy Spirit are called natural or soulish. They rejected the everlasting human soul of the messiah and did not join the new body of humanity. Believers are told by Jude to build themselves up spiritually, just like Paul said to believers in Ephesians chapter 6. They were all anticipating life to the age. Death to the age would be represented by Jerusalem on fire. That was the end of the old age. The corresponding lake of fire was in the unseen spirit-realm judgement.

Jude 1:18-23 (Life to the age was anticipated by those having the Spirit)

CLV 18 that they said to you, In the last time will be coming scoffers, going according to their own irreverent desires.” 19 These are those who isolate themselves, soulish, not having the spirit.” 20 Now you, beloved, building yourselves up in your most holy faith, praying in holy spirit, 21 keep yourselves in the love of God, anticipating the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ for life eonian.” 22 And to those, indeed, who are doubting, be merciful, 23 yet others be saving, snatching them out of the fire, yet to others be merciful with fear, hating even the tunic spotted by the flesh.”

Only the sacrificial flesh and blood of Jesus could procure the inheritance for God’s old covenant people. It was a spiritual battle over the old covenant body of Moses under law. The body of Christ already ascended to heaven and sent the Holy Spirit to give spiritual life to the dead body of Moses under law. It wasn’t the flesh and blood body of Moses the adversary was contending over. Moses’ singular body decayed long ago. “Our battle is not against flesh and blood”. It wasn’t physical Jerusalem that got saved from burning. Both bodies represented God’s chosen people in the past. But God told His people to be out of the typical Jerusalem before it burned. They were looking for a heavenly city not an earthy one.

Jude 1:9-10

CLV 9 Now when Michael, the chief messenger, doubting the Adversary, argued concerning the body of Moses, he dares not bring on a calumniating judging, but said, 10 May the Lord rebuke you! Yet these indeed are calumniating whatever they are not acquainted with, yet in whatever they are naturally adept, as the irrational animals, in these things they are being corrupted.”

Zechariah 3:2

LITV 2 And Jehovah said to Satan, Jehovah rebuke you, Satan! And, Jehovah who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you! Is this not a brand plucked out of the fire?

Being biologically saved wasn’t the main point of the new covenant. Jesus’ disciples would sacrifice their flesh and blood Jewish lives too. The sacrificial Jewish life of Judas was not sanctified by the Jewish flesh and blood sacrifice of Christ. Judas did not believe in Christ. Belief in Christ offers a clean conscience from the head of the body, but not to Judas. He was not part of the new creation body.

John 6:56

YLT 56 he who is eating my flesh, and is drinking my blood, doth remain in me, and I in him.

Eating signified becoming one body. Eating the meat with the blood was not allowed because the soul is in the blood. Only the body of Christ had an eternal soul. When Jesus said, “Before Abraham was, I am”, they picked up stones to throw at Him. When He said, “Drink my blood”, they left Him. The eternal soul is in the blood of Christ. He wasn’t resurrected without a soul. Of course this is spiritual talk and nobody really cannibalized Jesus.

He breathed out the last of His old covenant air from the cross. His old covenant sacrifice was over when He died. He was no longer in the flesh and blood covenant when He resurrected. He offered a new covenant without the possibility of a fall into sacrifice mode again. His new covenant air was breathed into His disciples. The flesh and blood family was renewed into the image of Christ, before it was put to an end.

Those who stayed dead and dying in the flesh and blood family did not inherit eternal life. The bride from His side was released from the fallen old creation husbandman, whom Jesus represented on the cross. The widowed nation married the resurrected firstborn, who sent His Holy Spirit to renew-into-recognition the Hebrew image of God in humanity.

Old covenant humanity gathered once a year at Pentecost. That would be the perfect time to give new life to that old dead and dying body, that was down to one tribe in the land. Individually, the old covenant Jews were called on to put the old man to death and join the new covenant man. Just as the spiritually reborn portion of the nation formed the new covenant bride, the unbelievers in the land represented the old covenant widow in denial. She chose to remain in the death of Adam and was destroyed in AD 70. The Adam’s family of God is no more. All God’s people are in Christ: Christian.

Romans 5:14-17

YLT 14 but the death did reign from Adam till Moses, even upon those not having sinned in the likeness of Adam’s transgression, who is a type of him who is coming [the one about to be]. 15 But, not as the offence so also is the free gift; for if by the offence of the one the many did die, much more did the grace of God, and the free gift in grace of the one man Jesus Christ, abound to the many; 16 and not as through one who did sin is the free gift, for the judgment indeed is of one to condemnation, but the gift is of many offences to a declaration of `Righteous,’ 17 for if by the offence of the one the death did reign through the one, much more those, who the abundance of the grace and of the free gift of the righteousness are receiving, in life shall reign through the one—Jesus Christ.

The new “flesh and bone” family of God was spiritually created. It has no sons of disobedience upon whom the wrath of God came. That was the fallen in flesh and blood family of Adam, Abraham, Isaac, and Moses. We are sons and daughters of Christ. We are children of obedience. The new covenant humanity will never fall into a flesh and blood sacrifice mode again. Flesh and blood did not inherit the kingdom. That mode had to be put to death. At first it was an optional end of animal sacrifice mode, by way of the old covenant death and resurrection of Yeshua. He took Adam’s place on the cross to grant new life from heaven. He eventually replaced all of humanity in AD 70. The telos of humanity was not optional. Nobody was allowed to stay in the old covenant post-millenium.

The new family has eternal life. Jesus told God’s people that because of Him they would never die. They would only die biologically. Then they would be where He is. Paul, the Hebrew of Hebrews, almost desired to die biologically in order to go be where Christ is. Old covenant death wasn’t keeping Paul down, even though the old body of God’s people wasn’t completely put to it’s second death until AD 70. Paul’s flesh and blood sacrifice joined the other martyrs under the alter awaiting the AD 70 marriage and destruction. Nobody is sacrificing flesh and blood today and joining the martyrs under the alter, because nobody is sacrificing their old covenant life and the new covenant has already been consummated. The old humanity was put to death in AD 70. The new covenant human rules our destiny. He is the firstborn who holds the eternal inheritance. Adam lost it.

Revelation 6:10-11

YLT 10 and they were crying with a great voice, saying, `Till when, O Master, the Holy and the True, dost Thou not judge and take vengeance of our blood from those dwelling upon the land?’ 11 and there was given to each one white robes, and it was said to them that they may rest themselves yet a little time, till may be fulfilled also their fellow-servants and their brethren, who are about to be killed—even as they.

The satirical 60’s sitcom called ‘The Addams Family’, takes place in a macabre museum-like house. The family has unexplainable wealth and supernatural abilities, as if the Addamses can live forever care free and blessed with their inordinate focus on death. It ironically portrays the silly nonsense of claiming old covenant ‘life’ in the Adams family that doesn’t even exist. But if it did it would still be dead and dying. But we saw it die it’s second death. The flesh and blood family of God died dead at 1000. The nation itself was put on hold for 70 years after the first 490 years of disobedience. Adam himself was put on hold at the age of 930. AD 70 was second death for both. There is only one supernatural (spiritual) family of God, whose head is Christ not Adam. And it is certainly not perpetually macabre and nonsensical. Death has been defeated. Nobody should fear new covenant exile.

Zechariah 3:8

YLT 8 Hear, I pray thee, Joshua, the high priest, Thou and thy companions sitting before thee, (For men of type are they,) For lo, I am bringing in My servant—a Shoot.

Zechariah 3:8

Thomson 8 Hearken now, Jesus the high priest, thou and they near thee who sit in presence, since they are men who typify Wonderful things: since lo! I am bringing my servant Anatole, [the Day-spring;]

Heaven is perfect and getting better all the time. Why else would Jesus prepare a place for His people to join Him there? We work together in heaven (eternal Eden) in God’s image. You in the name of Christ is the best possible you. God’s full image is working in you, if you have the Holy Spirit. This is a seventh day creation; not of works lest anyone boast. Question: Why don’t I believe we are still in the sixth day of works like most do? Answer: Because the types have been fulfilled in the resurrected Lord of the Sabbath.

The futurist’s version of unfulfilled types is to say that Jesus was resurrected to an ex-nihilo new creation on day one of the new work week. But humanity was already being formed on eschatological day 6, even in the old creation. Jesus completed the work of Adam’s unfinished day and took us into His Sabbath rest. Or was old covenant humanity resurrected all the way back to day one of the new creation week, out of nothingness? If the new creation was ex nihilo, then why was Jesus’ old covenant body preserved and resurrected into the new covenant? And why were the 12 tribes in diaspora pre-humanizing the nations, if the new humanity started over from nothing? The diaspora was a typical 6th day formation of humanity. Many theologians believe we are still stuck in the 6th day of works today, even though they teach a resurrection that took us backward to the first day of creation. We’ve ‘created’ a perpetually unfulfilled and non-sensical monster out of humanity. The 666 monster is officially gone. Let God’s people think. We live in Jesus’ sabbatized humanity.

Matthew 11:28

YLT 28 `Come unto me, all ye laboring and burdened ones, and I will give you rest,

Jesus didn’t water down the law. He fulfilled it. He offered His sabbath rest to the Jews who were fallen in the 6th day of works. He didn’t offer to take them backward to day one of their creation week. He didn’t even offer a continuation of day 6. He offered them day 7. He entered Jerusalem on a Sabbath and was murdered in the middle of His rescue-from-works-week. He was resurrected into His never-ending Sabbath after overcoming their works of death. The goal was always fulfillment day seven. The goal was never dark chaotic day one. Day one is the day of the Sun in Norse theology. The never-ending light of day in Hebrew theology is day seven. It is the only day in the Genesis creation account that doesn’t end. Jesus’ passion week was His last work week in the old covenant of works. Did He finish His rescue-work week? Maybe He needs to go back into the old covenant and do more work, in which case He shouldn’t have ended Jerusalem in her second death.

Genesis 2:2

ECB 2 And by the seventh day Elohim finishes the work he worked; and on the seventh day he shabbathizes from all the work he worked:

A: The seventh day sabbath was the first day in the count to Pentecost, i.e., First Fruits. It was the first day in the Feast of Weeks, not the first day in the Feast of Unleavened bread. The first day in the Feast of Unleavened bread is called the Great Sabbath. It could be any day of the week. It was still in the land of slavery. First Fruits is the first day in the land of promise; the first day of the new covenant.

Leviticus 23:11 (morrow of the sabbath)

Young’s Literal Translation 11 then he hath waved the sheaf before Jehovah for your acceptance; on the morrow of the sabbath doth the priest wave it.

A: The morning of the seventh day was the first day in the count to Pentecost. Evidently the Jews who wrote the Septuagint knew this. Neither the Hebrew nor the Greek version of Leviticus 23:11 or Leviticus 23:15 contains the word “after”. When that word is added it is due to bias. Therefore the morning of the sabbath is the day of First-fruits which is also the morning of the first day in the count to 50 days. It is not confusing if you remove the word “after” from the following versions that insert it, since it is not found in the Hebrew or Greek text.

Leviticus 23:11 (morrow of the first day)

Brenton Septuagint 11 and he shall lift up the sheaf before the Lord, to be accepted for you. On the morrow of the first day the priest shall lift it up.

A: The seventh day sabbath was the first day in the count to Pentecost, i.e., First-fruits.

Leviticus 23:15 (morning of the sabbath)

Young’s Literal Translation 15 `And ye have numbered to you from the morrow of the sabbath, from the day of your bringing in the sheaf of the wave-offering: they are seven perfect sabbaths;

Leviticus 23:15 (morning of these sabbaths)

Thomson Septuagint 15 That from the morrow of these sabbaths; from the day on which you offer up the dedicated sheaf, you shall reckon for yourselves seven whole weeks,

Leviticus 23:15 (day “after” the sabbath)

Brenton Septuagint 15 And ye shall number to yourselves from the day after the sabbath, from the day on which ye shall offer the sheaf of the heave-offering, seven full weeks:

A: All that needs to be done to make perfect sense of all this confusion is remove the word “after” and realize that the first day in the count toward Pentecost was a seventh-day sabbath.

Leviticus 23:11 (morning “after” the first day)

Thomson Septuagint 11 and he shall offer up the sheaf before the Lord, to be accepted for you; On the morrow after the first day, the priest shall offer this up.

“after”was added to the text.

Leviticus 23:11 (Morning “after” the sabbath )

ECB11 and he waves the omer at the face of Yah Veh at your pleasure: the priest waves it on the morrow after the shabbath:

“after” was added to the text.
