Be Diligent to Enter the Remaining Sabbath

Hebrews 4:9

CLV 9 Consequently a sabbatism is left for the people of God.

The word translated “sabbath” In Hebrews 4:9 is a form used only once in the Bible. It is sometimes translated “sabbatism” to convey it’s originality. It’s a noun like a baptism, and it has connotations not found in any other form of the word sabbath. It is distinctively used for the new creation sabbath that remained to be entered, according to the writer to the Hebrews anyway. It was this final sevenism that signified the telos of the old covenant creation, i.e., the very good fulfilment of the prophetic sixth day of Genesis. It was life to the age of 1000. It was the sabbath finale. It was the 8th day of tabernacles that put the 7 feasts to rest. It was the never-ending day of marriage which was the salvation they were closer to than when they first believed. It was the very good work that one could find rest in.

It seems the NAS translators apply this place of new covenant rest to two different groups of people: the true worshippers of God and the true Christians, as if the born again Gentiles weren’t joining the born again body of Hebrews. Why do we read Hebrews as if it was written to Gentiles and not to the Hebrews. Just because they called the born again Gentiles ‘Christians’ in Antioch does not mean these Gentiles were being born again into a different body of Christ. What covenant body did Jewish Peter join on Pentecost if not the one and only body of Christ? What body did the 3000 Jews join after Peter spoke?

Why were the first century born again Jews shocked when the Gentiles started being added to their church body if they were joining another body of Christ? Why did the born again Jews even care? Because there was and is only one born again body of Christ. There was and is only one way to be saved from perishing. There was and is only one Holy Spirit rebirth into the family of God. You must be born again or perish to the age, explained Jesus to the teacher of the Jews in Jerusalem. The Gentiles in Antioch were not counting down their second 490-year land occupation. The Gentiles in Antioch were entering the remaining sabbatism along with the Hebrews who were expecting their Jubilee finale.

Sabbatismos Definition

NAS Word Usage – Total: 1

  1. a keeping sabbath
  2. the blessed rest from toils and troubles looked for in the age to come by the true worshippers of God and true Christians

Flesh and blood birth cannot inherit the kingdom. Only born again people inherit the kingdom. You must be born of flesh and blood first in order to be born again. Being born again does not give make flesh and blood immortal. Second birth is what Jesus required to enter the kingdom, not a glorified flesh and blood body. Jesus did not say you must get immortal resurrected flesh to enter the kingdom. John 3:3 – Jesus answered and said to him, Truly, truly, I say to you, if one does not receive birth from above, he is not able to see the kingdom of God.

John 3:5

ECB 5 Yah Shua answers, Amen! Amen! I word to you, Unless one is birthed of water and of the Spirit he cannot enter the sovereigndom of Elohim:

John 17:3

YLT 3 and this is the life age-during, that they may know Thee, the only true God, and him whom Thou didst send—Jesus Christ;

Eschaton Adam was the only full imager of God in the old covenant. The bride was released by law from the side of the fully-God/fully-man messiah after He died in Adam’s place on the cross. He took on an old covenant body in order to become the perfect sacrifice and take the place of first Adam. Even Moses in some way failed to reflect God’s true character and died short of entering the promised land, but Jesus said, “If you’ve seen Me you’ve seen the Father”, which made Him the only living substitute sufficient to redeem the fallen firstborn from their not so very good work week.

Matthew 11:28 CLV 28 Hither to Me, all who are toiling and laden, and I will be giving you rest.”

After Jesus ascended, Jerusalem was reformed in the spirit realm, by the new husbandman. The Holy-Spirit-endowed bride became a new creation too: the new Jerusalem, the new temple where God’s image lives, the new covenant people of God, the new nation, the new creation, the newly enabled bride released from Eschaton Adam’s side, the church. Life to the age was given to the newly covenanted people of God on their national betrothal celebration of Pentecost. The renewed nation would indeed live to the age of 1000.

Jesus enabled His Jewish people to join in His very good work by way of the creative Holy Spirit; the same Holy Spirit that gave Him a new Jewish body. Until Jewish Jesus arrived, only God completed His very good work week on the sixth day and then truly rested with it on the seventh day. The Holy Spirit gave Jesus a new creation body, but it was old creation humanity that raised Him in God’s image in the old covenant. After His 3.5 years of very good Holy Spirit work within Jewish humanity, that humanity was enabled to join in on His very good Holy Spirit work. The new creation body singular went national, after Jesus’ last work-week in the old covenant.

New covenant humanity was headed for a monumental sabbatism. The Jews had been counting on the arrival of their 20th Jubilee sabbath at the culmination of their final seven years. The second 490 years in the land, marked the millennial celebration of a nation unable to keep their sabbaths. The second 490-year Jubilee had nominally come home to roost again; minus 70 good sabbath years again. Would this one bring them true rest? Or did the true sabbatism remain for the new covenant Hebrews only?

By way of the Holy Spirit work of conception, God became fully embodied in a human, to bring His work of humanity into His rest. His rest became the faithful Hebrews’ sabbatism that remained. At 30 years of age, a man truly entered God’s 7th day, for the only time in old covenant history. At His 7th day/7th year baptism, the Father gave His approval to the Son and the Holy Spirit joined Him, to start His work of national renewal. There can be no better blessing pronounced upon humanity than from the Father and the Holy Spirit. That blessed old covenant humanity was put to death or cut off in the middle of the last work week of eschatos Adam.

3.5 years into the last old covenant week of years, Jesus underwent another baptism, to transfer His singularly very good work week to a national embodiment. The Hebrew sabbatism that remained was made possible by the national Holy Spirit engagement on Pentecost. The Hebrew nation that was internationally planted in the flesh by way of diaspora gathered in Jerusalem for their day of covenant rebirth.

Jesus underwent His mid-week baptism on the cross and emerged on the 7th day of the week. He completed His last old covenant work week (Passion Week) for His people. The most evil week ever was made very good by the Holy Spirit resurrection. They meant it for evil but God meant it for good. It was a disturbing baptism of death, burial and sabbath day resurrection. Jesus sacrificially granted His sabbath day baptism to the Jews, on the day of their national re-birth: Pentecost. The Hebrew body was enabled to join the very good work of the Son by way of the Holy Spirit, after their national baptism in the Holy Spirit.

Just like the typical exodus, when the old national body died in the sea and in the wilderness, the newly baptized nation fully emerged to enter the new land after 40 years. 40 days after Jesus’ first baptism in the land, He returned out of the wilderness to began His Holy Spirit enabled work in the land; 3 and a half days after His second baptism, He continued His blessed work in the land for 40 more days. AD 70 was 40 years after Jesus’ initial baptism at 30 years of age. At the age of 30 He started to reform the national body in the power of the Holy Spirit. He cut off His reformation work in their old covenant in the middle of the last week. His 3 1/2 years transferred in the Holy Spirit. Those who didn’t receive the first fruit Holy Spirit renewal suffered a final 3 1/2 years of old covenant destruction. They were given 40 years to repent. From Jesus’ first baptism to the Roman commencement of destruction is 40 years. His second baptism to the finality of destruction is 40 years. Just as Adam was graciously put on hold 70 years short of 1000, old covenant Jerusalem was graciously put on hold 3 1/2 years short of 1000. Jesus interrupted their final old covenant week on the cross. By way of the cross, the final delay of destruction ensued, mid-week of the final week of the 490-year count down the old covenant hold-outs were granted even more grace time to reconsider. 36 1/2 years were added to the 3 1/2 years of Jesus, Holy Spirit ministry in Jerusalem. They had 40 years to repent or perish.

After their new covenant betrothal, they too worked in the power of the Holy Spirit to enter His remaining sabbatism of marriage, before the millennial sabbath of types was allowed to commence DOA. The preparation for the non-typical never-ending marriage to God through Jesus and the Holy Spirit became the sacrificial work that telosed the types for all God’s people. In the new covenant, the body of Christ worked toward a seventh day baptism for all His Holy Spirit born humans, not just the One.

The One and only sabbatized old covenant life was cut off mid-week. It was the middle of the last 7 days for eschaton Adam and the middle of the last 7 years of Daniel’s prophetic weeks. The one true Jew would have arrived alive had He remained in the old covenant for 3 1/2 more years. The One true imager of God was raised by the Holy Spirit into the new covenant land to prepare His people for that place. The Judgment of Adam was graciously put on hold again when eschatos Adam took His place. His 1000 year judgment was delayed again. Jesus was fully raised out of the land of the death by the power of the Holy Spirit. The same Holy Spirit had raised Him up out of His first baptismal waters in Jerusalem. He had emerged from His first baptism on a blessed sabbath too.

The Jewish scoffers noticed the decades of delay:

2 Peter 3:3-9

CLV 3 knowing this first, that in the last days scoffers will be coming with scoffing, going according to their own desires” 4 and saying, “Where is the promise of His presence? For since the fathers [of the Jews] were put to repose, all is continuing thus from the beginning of creation.” 5 For they want to be oblivious of this, that there were heavens of old, and an earth [not the first time heavens and earth were renewed] cohering out of water and through water, by the word of God;” 6 through which the then world, being deluged by water, perished.” 7 Yet the heavens now, and the earth, by the same word, are stored with fire, being kept for the day of the judging and destruction of irreverent men.” 8 Now of this one thing you are not to be oblivious, beloved, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years and a thousand years as one day.” 9 The Lord is not tardy as to the promise, as some are deeming tardiness, but is patient because of you, not intending any to perish, but all to make room for repentance.”

The cognizant human could truly find rest only after Jesus released them from their insufficient old covenant work (released on His own recognizance). The truly woke human entered into His very good work by way of the grace-given Holy Spirit resurrection. All who were putting to death the old man in Holy Spirit baptism were being raised as the new man. The transition period was a death burial and resurrection of the old-man nation. Jesus 3.5 year life as the only Holy Spirit baptized human was transitioned into the new covenant after the second half of Jesus’ ‘Passion Week’. Then the Hebrews were Holy Spirit baptized on Pentecost, to begin their transition-of-covenants-baptism into their remaining sabbatism. The new nation was made to live by way of the Holy Spirit before the old was put to second death.

It was the covenant transition baptism that Jesus was struggling to submit Himself to in the Garden of Gethsemane. After His first baptism, the Holy Spirit began working with power in Christ for the nation. By His death, burial and resurrection, Jesus put His typical time clock on hold in order to save His people. After 3.5 years of working with the old Jewish body, the Holy Spirit resurrected the body of Christ into the 3rd day, to take up where He left off. He continued His work with God’s called out ones in a new realm. After His resurrection, Jesus was given the 33 or 36.5 year task of giving peace to the true Jew, before casting fire into the typical land for the last 3.5 flesh and blood years. 3.5 + 33 +3.5 = 70. The last enemy to be destroyed was their spiritual death. Spiritual death only existed for God’s people in the old covenant.

Luke 12:49-51

I come to cast fire into the land; and what will I, if it be already lit? 50 But I have a baptism to be baptized with; and how I am constrained until it is completed/shalamed. 51 Suppose you that I come to give peace/shalom on the land? I tell you, no; but rather division:

The “death of death”, the ”second death”, the “Day of the Lord”, the “Last Day”, the remaining “Sabbatism”, and the 1000 year reign of Christ are somewhat synonymous. The final day of types landed in the fall of AD 70, at the typical time of a Jubilee year (graciously delayed as it was for 33 or 36.5 years). In AD 70 the Jews were removed from the land for the second time, for the same reason they were removed the first time. After 490 years of not keeping the typical sabbaths, God said He would put the land to rest with 70 of His sabbath years. His second 70 years were in His true Son. The completion of the 70 adamic years were taken off hold when eschaton Adam was born. Jesus began to fulfill the adamic 6th day image of God in man from the time of His birth.

The second time around, it was the fulfilment sabbath they didn’t keep. They removed the Lord of the sabbath from their land in lieu of their own not so very good works in the flesh. Nevertheless, 70 years from His birth, Jesus sabbatized His true people. He took the place of Adam on the cross and then sabbatized humanity (the Spirit-baptized nation), on His 70th birthday, which was also the time of year for signifying the marriage by tabernacling with Yahweh. Tabernacles was a 7 day feast that started on a sabbath day. It concluded with a solemn assembly on the 8th day. That 8th day sabbath put the 7 feasts to sabbath rest.

Jesus’ 70th birthday may have been 6 months before the destruction of old Jerusalem began in the Spring of AD 67, since we believe He was actually born between 2 BC and 4 BC in the fall. Prior to Jesus’ 70th birthday, the true Jew was protected in the wilderness from the false Jew, for their final 3.5 years of Daniel’s last prophetic week.

At that time the true Jew on earth found another type of rest from old covenant Jewish persecution, when old Jerusalem was surrounded by armies to commence their last 3.5 old covenant years, outside the Holy Spirit baptism. I think their flesh and blood destruction began 6 months after Jesus turned 70. Their last 3.5 years concluded outside the grace-endowed sabbatism of Christ. They were in the middle of a flesh and blood new covenant with Rome instead. Jesus’ baptism was in the Fall. His re-baptism for the nation was 6 months later in the year, in the Spring.

Jesus may have been (humanly speaking) between 72 – 74 years old in 70 AD. If typical Jerusalem entered covenant with Rome 3.5 years before God’s true people finally married up with Him. The true humanity in Jesus was 70 years and 6 months old when the destruction of Jerusalem commenced. The 3.5 years of Roman protection for the unbelievers in the land coincided with the 3.5 years of protection in the wilderness for believers.

Jesus’ seven years of ministry to Judah had been cut off in the middle by the cross, by that grace/wrath event. Jesus returned to sabbatize His people the same way they saw Him leave at His ascension: in the gracious promise of His Holy-Spirit-enabled betrothal. He returned to non-spiritual Jerusalem in the middle of their last week of their broken flesh and blood covenant with Rome. He returned to them in God’s typical wrath, after fulfilling the reign of David for 70 years and 6 months. Jesus fulfilled the types in the spirit realm for His Holy Spirit born people before fulfilling it in the flesh realm for the unbelievers in Judah.

2 Samuel 5:4-5

LITV 4 And David was a son of thirty years when he became king; he reigned forty years. 5 In Hebron he reigned over Judah seven years and six months; and in Jerusalem he reigned thirty three years over all Israel and Judah.

David began ruling in Judah at the age of 30. He finished his 7 years plus 6 months in that land before ruling another 33 years over all the land of Israel. But Jesus was cut off in the middle of His 7 years in Judah when He began spiritually ruling over the 12 tribes scattered (all Israel). David represented the ideal reign of all the history of the Hebrews. Yet David’s reign in Judah and Israel pointed to the 70 year 6 month reign of the Holy Spirit anointed Messiah. In Hebrew overlapping and chiastic fashion, the fulfillment was complete before the old was destroyed. Grace reigned in the reversal.

Seven signified some type of arrival; dead or alive. When the oxen that carried the covenant stumbled, God’s wrath broke out and killed the one who saved the covenant from falling to the ground. It made David angry at God and then afraid of Him. It may have seemed so unfair of God to kill the person who reached out to rescue the ark from the animal mishap. Maybe it shouldn’t have been carried by animals at all, like the Philistines had done. When God’s people finally resumed carrying the covenant, David stopped them at six steps and made a sacrifice. The covenant people were carrying it by the poles now as prescribed. And David was being overly careful. David wanted them to arrive at seven alive. The death of Uzzah for the stumbling of the animals who carried the covenant opened David’s eyes, but the reason David resumed carrying the covenant again (in the prescribed manner) was for the blessing it invoked where it rested.

2 Samuel 6:7-8

CLV 7 and the anger of Yahweh burns against Uzzah, and Elohim smites him there for the error, and he dies there by the ark of Elohim. 8And it is displeasing to David, because that Yahweh has broken forth a breach upon Uzzah, and [one] calls that place Perez-Uzzah, unto this day;”

2 Samuel 6:13

ECB 13 And so be it, they who bear the ark of Yah Veh pace six paces and he sacrifices oxen and fatlings:

Hebrews 4:9-11

ECB 9 So a shabbatism remains to the people of Elohim. 10 For whoever enters his shabbath also shabbathizes from his own works – exactly as Elohim from his. 11 So be diligent to enter that shabbath, lest anyone fall in the same example of trustlessness.

After entering the promised land, Joshua read the law to the land to commence the typical land marriage. Like Jesus, Joshua didn’t have the required genealogy to perform that duty of a priest. According to that law, the sabbatical begins after counting to the seventh year, when the priest reads the law to all the people in the Fall, which is what Joshua did in the middle of the first national year in the land, after the battles of Ai and Jericho removed the lawlessness from their territory. Jesus was the fulfillment Joshua who took His original sabbatical to the new covenant land marriage. The marriage may have been 6 months prior to the destruction of Jerusalem commencement. It was a grace filled and chiastic sabbatical fulfillment.

70 sabbaticals in the land added up to 490 years. In the middle of every 49th year (in the Fall) the original sabbath was recounted. In the middle of the 7th 7 everyone returned to their debt free inheritance. This kept the land free and it kept the 7-year counting cycle in sync. 490 years represents 500 years, but it is actually 490 years scientifically counting: 491 if counting the original (never-ending but always counted on) sabbath year. 500 if the original sabbath is religiously recounted in the Fall of every 49th year.

The original sabbath was supposed to be perpetually recounted in the middle of every 49th year. It was at that time that the 49th year turned into a sabbatical year, without getting the 7-year counting off track. The national year gave way to or overlapped the adamic year, revived after 6 months: beginning with the seventh month.

At the wedding, the made new firstborn (made new at the Spring resurrection of First Fruit) married the made new nation (made new at the Summer resurrection of Pentecost), in the middle of their national year (called a new year just before the final Fall festival of Tabernacles). The never-ending sabbatical marriage to the heavenly promised land was 40 years after Jesus’ original sabbatism, i.e., Jesus first baptism. Jesus alone had arrived very good at 30 years of age. His people would take 40 years of Holy Spirit work to reform. Jesus entered and started working the land after 40 days in the wilderness.

Jesus was originally born in the Fall as the son of the Adam. He died in the Spring in Adam’s place on the cross. He was spiritually resurrected as firstborn without genealogy to take up where He left off, sometime into the 3rd day. He freed His people from the death of Adam in the Spring, gave them His heart in the Summer and married them in the Fall, when He gave New Jerusalem her remaining sabbatism. The final marriage was the corporate body sabbatism that He alone had accomplished 40 years prior in the old covenant land. Eschaton Adam was ready for the millennium sabbath, but there was no eschaton Eve to be found. The nation was in spiritual death. They were only temporarily covered in animal blood. Animal blood didn’t provide a very good soul.

The last enemy Jesus defeated for His people was their spiritual death. He spiritually died for them in order to overcome that death. They had projected their own death onto Him when they attributed His Holy Spirit work to the devil and when they nailed Him to the tree of good and evil. Nobody spiritually married to Christ spiritually dies, like all those who were born in the Adam’s family did, because He overcame their old covenant death and released them to remarry the resurrected human.

The new family firstborn will never die again. Marriage to the new man was the salvation the Hebrews were waiting for. The Holy Spirit betrothal on Pentecost sealed them for that final day of salvation. “That is, it is not the children of the flesh who are children of God, but the children of the promise are regarded as descendants”. Spiritual death was finally defeated by the marriage, not the promise of betrothal. It was practically defeated by the spiritual betrothal. None of His were lost. But now their is no such thing as covenant death. The old covenant of death is no more because the old covenant is no more.

The family place that the new firstborn of humanity went to prepare for His people is in heaven: in the spirit realm, so His people can now be where He is, even before we put our flesh and blood body to rest at the average age of 70. In the meantime we can still join in on His very good work by way of the Holy Spirit. We don’t have to wait for Him to enable us again, because the married church body now lives in heaven and on earth.

Deuteronomy 24:5

LITV 5 When a man has taken a new wife, he shall not go out to war, and he shall not be given any duty. He shall be free at his own house for one year, and shall gladden his wife whom he has taken. [typified nationally after the battles of Ai and Jericho]

Overlapping time and cutting things in half did not just apply to sabbaticals. Jesus died between the daily settings, mid-week and in the middle of the last seven years prophesied by Daniel. Abraham cut animals in half (down the middle and laid them side by side) the day Yahweh went down the middle to “cut” a covenant with him (see Genesis 15). The old covenant overlapped the new covenant for 36.5 years; or 40 years if you count in Jesus’ 3.5 year service time in His old covenant new creation body. 40 weeks also signifies the formation of every body ever born.

The body of Christ existed for 70 years before the old covenant ended. He didn’t start His national reformation body work until He was 30. His ministry in the Old covenant lasted 3.5 years from the time He was baptized. The total time the old covenant was reformed after Jesus turned 30 was 40 years. For the first 3.5 of the 40 Jesus was still in His old covenant creation doing His reformation work. He was healing the body and setting His people free. For the final 3.5 of the o.c. land, Jesus shut up heaven to flesh and blood Jerusalem: Isaiah’s 3.5 year famine that Jesus had prophesied to them was then fulfilled.

The grace period for the typical land ended when the 3.5 year siege on Jerusalem began in the Spring of AD 67. At that time their typical count to the final land sabbatism resumed. The grace-gap for God’s true people was 36.5 years of the grace filled 40 years. For 40 years the image of God was re-embodied with the power of the Holy Spirit, in order to form a new nation, to enter the real spirit realm, spirit-engaged promised land. 3.5 + 33 + 3.5 = 40. The reformation nation was fully reformed and re-married before destruction of the harlot in the flesh commenced. Just as Jesus had protected His people in the land for the first 3.5 years prior to His ascension, He protected them in the wilderness for the last 3.5 years prior to the marriage.

Jesus is the real never-ending sabbath rest. He was baptized and married as a sabbath year began, probably on a weekly sabbath too. If His old covenant time was cut off in the Spring after 3.5 years of ministry, then it was 3.5 years after the cross before the 20th Jubilee started. After He was cut off in the middle of that last seven, the unbelievers kept counting to their typical 1000 year sabbatical, but nothing unusual happened. Where is is coming? Everything is the same since the beginning of the creation. We didn’t see a renewed nation or a destruction after religiously counting to the age of 1000. The millennial celebration fizzled in their confusion. They became cynical and began to taunt the believers. What is God waiting for?

At Pentecost the same unbelievers in the land didn’t see their national rebirth either. They said the believers were merely drunk for claiming the reversal of the confusion of the diaspora languages. Everyone born of the Holy Spirit heard the gospel in their own diaspora-nation language. At the diaspora judgement of the original tower of Babble, 3000 people died biologically. At the reversal fulfillment of the curse, 3000 people were given spiritual life. Something deep and meaningful was happening to the Jews.

Grace ruled in the chiastic fulfillments. 3.5/33/3.5 looks like a very chiastic fulfillment with a more-grace gap in the middle. The word translated “discounted” in Matthew 24:22 below means to cut, dock or curtail. It is usually translated “to shorten” because that English word seems to make the most sense in the given context. “… unless those days were shortened…” The context is the siege of Jerusalem and the only flesh that was being saved was those Jews who were taken into slavery, because the destruction ceased after only 3.5 years. Some weren’t killed by the Roman armies like almost everyone else in Jerusalem was. Their flesh bodies were saved.

An alternative context refers to the years after Jesus was cut off on the cross in Jerusalem, but prior to the 3.5 year destruction of Jerusalem. Except those 3.5 years of destruction for murdering Jesus were docked, (put on hold) no flesh and blood Jews (or anyone else) at all would have been saved. The 3.5 year destruction of Jerusalem would have commenced immediately for murdering God’s only begotten Son, if not for the intermediate grace years of salvation. If not for the grace time, the gospel would not have spread for 40 years before the old covenant was put to an end. The delay of the destruction was for the sake of God’s chosen ones. It was not to save a few unbelieving flesh and blood genetic Jews in order to resume a future old covenant regime under first born Adam again.

Matthew 24:22

CLV 22 And, except those days were discounted [docked or cut off mid-week until they resumed counting in the Spring of AD 67], no flesh at all would be saved. Yet, because of the chosen, those days shall be discounted [docked until resuming the last 7 year typical count in AD 67].”

In the intervening period don’t fall for the false messiahs. Even a covenant with Rome won’t be able to save flesh and blood Jerusalem. Citizenship destiny hung in the balance on the tree of death and life. They had 40 grace-given years to hear the gospel and choose: either the death penalty for murder or the faith of Christ. He was preparing a new Jerusalem in the spirit realm of heaven for His chosen ones.

Matthew 24:23-24

LITV 23 Then if anyone says to you, Behold, here is the Christ! Or, Here! Do not believe. 24 For false christs and false prophets will rise up. And they will give great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect.

Flesh and blood covenant-life was only typical. Rebirth into the spirit realm creation was the antitypical reality that everything had signified. In AD 67, when the unbelievers heard foreign tongues in the land again, they were beyond the point of no return. The abundant grace period had ended for the typical land body to spiritually reform. 40 years after Jesus’ baptism, the spiritually reformed Jewish nation entered the heavenly promised land marriage. The unreformed Jews, still in the flesh, commenced their second death as a widowed nation in denial. Actually they married up in the flesh with Rome in a new covenant of their own. But it wasn’t spiritual.

Romans 8:9

ECB 9 And you are not in flesh, but in Spirit whenever the Spirit of Elohim dwell in you and if one has not the Spirit of Messiah, he is none of his.

The typical Jubilee only signified the real sabbatism of Christ. The fulfillment Jubilee was the 50th year in the land for the 20th time. They didn’t honor it. They killed their messiah in the middle of the count to the last one of 70 counts to seven. He cut a new covenant mid-week in order to put their last 3.5 years on pause. He set the nation free from dead Adam’s side.

The soldier with the spear didn’t kill Jesus. The law-man in Jerusalem released the bride from the side of spiritually dead eschaton Adam. By law a widow is free to remarry. Adam was a type of the One about to be. The widow was freed from the typical old man when He died on the tree.

The Jews had resumed counting down their second 490 after they returned from the Babylonian diaspora, but Jesus released them from their typical counting in the middle of the last week of Eschaton Adam. Jesus kept counting His 70 years in Adam’s place while the nation was temporarily docked. Jesus as the God/man was un-fallen humanity in God’s image. But the national body of Eve/the church was still in the works of her reformation by the work of the Holy Spirit.

3.5 years short of 1000 they certainly deserved to be destroyed for the murder of an innocent and completely good man. After Jesus returned to the land of Jerusalem from the gracious holding place of Hades, He graciously put their national death on hold while He resurrected them into their reformation body. Hades couldn’t put Jesus’ 70 years as fulfillment Adam on hold, but Jerusalem was now put to repose for 36.5 years before they reached their national age of 1000. Adam had been put to repose 70 years short of his age of 1000. Adam too would have gone to destruction rather than salvation if his days had not been shortened by the 70 years. If not for the repose, Adam would have legally gone to his destruction at the day/age of 1000. His second death was docked at 930 years of age.

Typically 7 sabbatical counts returned God’s people to their original debt free land allotments – every 50th year. The 20th Jubilee was the final sabbatism that remained, even though the time had typically elapsed when Peter addressed the Hebrews. Counting time was graciously put on hold for 36.5 years, while God patiently waited for all His people to be saved. The first century people of God were closer to their salvation (sabbatism in Christ) than when they first believed. 20 x 50 = 1000. 1000 is a telos number. They were counting on it, yet they knew they were passed it and nothing special appeared to be happening. That is the sabbatism that by God’s grace remained for His people.

Distinct usage: one occurrence of G4520

Thayer: σαββατισμός – sabbatismos – Sabbatism

1) a keeping sabbath
2) the blessed rest from toils and troubles looked for in the age to come by the true worshippers of God and true Christians

Really Mr. Thayer? Are there really two separate Jewish bodies of Christ: Jews and Gentiles not alike, as if part of the body of God’s people is still on hold in His old creation calendar, waiting for themselves to return to telos the seven typical festivals in the flesh again. Did only non-Hebrew believers enter the remaining sabbatism of the (proposed on Pentecost) wedding? Why is the word sabbatism applied specifically to the Hebrews?

Sabbatismos – σαββατισμός – Sabbatism – noun

Baptizo – βαπτίζω – to baptize – verb

Baptisma – βάπτισμα – baptism – noun

The word sabbatism can’t be found in the Greek vocabulary before the first century, as if the writer to the Hebrews created a new form of their word sabbath just for the occasion. The origin of the word sabbath is the Greek word for seven. It refers to the seventh day or the seventh year. It can’t typically be stopped. Yet it was supernaturally put on hold. The question now is, “Did the first century people of God enter His rest from their flesh and blood works by their very good work in the Holy Spirit? Did the church marry Christ when the final sabbath arrived?”

Truly being at rest on the wedding day was the impossible work, until the last work week of Christ turned into the Hebrews’ enablement, on the 50th day (Pentecost). Humanity was once removed from the typical land for not keeping sabbath for 490 years. It was about to be removed again, after the second 490 years of not keeping sabbaths, but by grace there remained a sabbatism for the people of God. AD 70 destruction or spiritual sabbatism? The sabbatism of the second 7th 70 was in the body of the Christ this time around.

One extra-biblical use of the word Sabbatism can be found in the first century. The word was used by the philosopher Plutarch. Plutarch was born in AD 46 and was a great traveler and teacher who visited Rome several times. He died in AD 119. It is not beyond belief that Plutarch picked up the newly coined word from the writer of Hebrews or from someone else who heard of the new word. The argument is made that every writer after the writer of Hebrews uses the word sabbatism no differently then they use the word sabbath: therefore this unique form is just another way to say the same thing. I still say it’s singular usage in it’s peculiar format was created for the particularity of the new creation sabbath that the old creation was made for. It is the “another day” He spoke of. It was the 7th day target of humanity’s work.

Hebrews 4:7b-11 “Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts.” For if Joshua gave them rest, then He would not have afterwards spoken about another day. So, then, there remains a sabbath rest to the [Hebrew] people of God [and for their proselytes and for “true Christians” as well, according to Thayer] For he entering into His rest, he himself also rested from His works, as God had rested from His own. Therefore, let us exert ourselves to enter into that rest, that not anyone fall in the same example of disobedience.

“Today” refers to the first century generation addressed in the letter to the first century Hebrews. They were in their fulfillment exodus, sometimes referred to as the second exodus. They were in or heading for the fulfillment day: “another day”. The “rest” was the sabbath rest of the new covenant marriage. “Today” was Jesus’ day. They were already in the sabbath rest of the betrothal. Pentecost was a sabbatism of the 49 days. Marriage was the remaining sabbatism of the 490 years. Jesus sabbatized the Feast of Weeks after 40 days in the land and 10 days in heaven. He sabbatized the 490 years on His 70th birthday; after 40 years of Holy Spirit work in His people.

They were sealed for that final day by the baptism of the grace-given Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost. Even to the Jewish thief on the cross, Jesus promised His day. I say to you, “today you will be with me in paradise”. Or: I say to you today, “You will be with Me in paradise”. Either way it was Jesus’ day: the Day of the Lord, not the day of Adam. Adam died and was put on hold during his 1000 year day. Adam could only be resurrected into Jesus’ day. Adam was put on hold in order to be made to live to the age rather than left alone to die to the age.

The Holy Spirit Pentecost was the Mount Sinai antitype. The legal proposal was brought down from heaven by the Holy Spirit. Jesus/Joshua went into heaven to prepare the place for them and sent the Holy Spirit to prepare them for that spirit-realm place. The new covenant marriage was made to be better than their typical land marriage, because Joshua went in ahead of the Hebrews to defeat their enemies for them and the proposal was written on the heart of flesh rather than on the heart of stone. The last enemy in the fulfilment of the types was spiritual death. The last enemy was not flesh and blood death. Jesus said He would lose none of His own even during the engagement period. Jesus protected His people from the real threat of spiritual death. Spiritual life is friendship with God through His Son.

Many of Jesus’ followers died biologically on their way to their spiritual marriage, i.e., the remaining sabbatism. But they didn’t die spiritually, which is where the final sabbitism took place; in the spirit realm. Many who attended the sabbatism of Pentecost didn’t see it happening. The unbelieving Jews said the believing Jews were filled with wine rather than filled with the Spirit. The betrothal took place in the spirit realm of the Holy Spirit. So would the marriage.

The flesh and blood exodus-generation of Hebrews hardened their hearts and did not find God’s rest on their typical journey to the promised land. Even though there was a made-new body that finally entered the promised land, Joshua (same name as Yeshua or Jesus) did not give them permanent rest in the land either. He did not defeat all the typical flesh and blood enemies. The typical re-generation generation who entered the promised land was the flesh and blood offspring of the ones who had grumbled in the wilderness. God didn’t spiritually rebirth them. The Holy Spirit didn’t raise them up Spirit to spirit. The new generation born of flesh and blood inherited the typical kingdom, but the new covenant kingdom of the heart required a Spirit to spirit generation. The Hebrews were born of the Spirit on Pentecost. They were the regeneration body of the second exodus. The brave heart of Christ was made known in them. To know God through His Son is salvation.

The fulfillment regeneration was the reborn body of flesh and blood Hebrews. The spirit of the law was being written on their heart because the Holy Spirit brought the law of Yahweh down to them at their Sinai fulfillment. The Holy Spirit took the place of Moses. As the new mediator, Jesus sent the Holy Spirit down to the Hebrews to give them rest from the letter of the law. Because under law only Jesus entered into God’s rest. The ‘travail insuffisant’ killed everyone else ‘en route’.

Jesus left the old covenant under the law in the middle of their last week of years. They were counting on their arrival to their 70th sabbatical. Sabbaticals begin in the Fall, so Jesus’ death in the Spring was in the middle of a Daniel year. He died in the middle of the last seven-years in the count of the prophetic 70 weeks. The 70th week of years was the last 7-year count enroute to the 70th sabbatical year. 69 x 7 = 483 so year 484 would be the first year in the last week of years. 484-485-486-487-488-489-490. Jesus began His ministry in the 483rd year of Judah back in the land. Jesus’ first year of ministry was a sabbatical year. What better year to minister to people? Six more years after that one to the beginning of the 70th sabbath year. Beginning of sabbatical to beginning of sabbatical is 7 years.

Jesus returned from His wilderness temptation in the power of the Spirit after 40 days into the last year of the 69th week, which was a sabbath year. Jesus entered the land and stood and read to them Isaiah 61:1 – 2a. It was on a weekly sabbath, as was His custom. It was the last sabbatical before the 70th week of years Daniel foretold. God promised to favor their crop while they rested that year, so Jesus stood in the synagogue and proclaimed the year of acceptance (or the year of favor from God) because He was the three year blessing on the land.

Those who didn’t enjoy those three years of spiritual blessing on the land would face the final curse of three years of famine on the land. The blessing was actually commanded onto the Spring planting which was 6 months before the Fall Sabbatical began, so the blessing lasted 3.5 years. Jesus crucifixion was the Spring planting that brought the final sabbatical to the land. In typical Hebrew chiastic fashion, He was planted 6 months after the 3 years of blessing ended. The Holy Spirit raised Him from the land and then He sent the same Holy Spirit blessing to His people. That blessing from the blessed First Fruit would last 36.5 years before the 3.5 years of famine on the typical land put an end to the types.

Leviticus 25:21

KJV 21 Then I will command my blessing upon you in the sixth year, and it shall bring forth fruit for three years.

Jesus was healing and proclaiming freedom to some, while proclaiming a different fate to the typically obstinate nation. We know the unbelievers in the land understood what He was saying because they tried to kill Him for saying it. After reading from Isaiah 61, He began to prophesy about the addition of the Gentiles to their (regeneration) body. Gentiles did come in before He picked up where He left off reading to the Jews. The final 3.5 year curse on their land was put on hold at the cross. Jesus stopped reading at Isaiah 61:2a and returned the scroll to them. The rest of the prophecy would wait until 67 AD.

Isaiah 61:2

YLT 2 To proclaim the year of the good pleasure of Jehovah, [Jesus stopped reading here and handed the scroll back to them, then He spoke about Gentiles. The destruction of Jerusalem was temporarily put on hold] And the day of vengeance of our God, To comfort all mourners.

Isaiah 43:18-21

CLV 18 You must not be mindful of the former things, and those preceding, you must not consider.” 19 Behold Me doing a new thing. Now is it sprouting. Are you not knowing it? Indeed, I am placing a way in the wilderness, tracks in the desolation.” 20 The field life shall glorify Me; the jackals and the ostrich. For I provide water in the wilderness, streams in the desolation, to give drink to My people, and My chosen.” 21 This people I have formed for Myself, and they shall relate My praise.”

Luke 4:23-30

YLT 23 And he said unto them, `Certainly ye will say to me this simile, Physician, heal thyself; as great things as we heard done in Capernaum, do also here in thy country;’ 24 and he said, `Verily I say to you—No prophet is accepted in his own country; 25 and of a truth I say to you, Many widows were in the days of Elijah, in Israel, when the heaven was shut for three years and six months, when great famine came on all the land, 26 and unto none of them was Elijah sent, but—to Sarepta of Sidon, unto a woman, a widow; 27 and many lepers were in the time of Elisha the prophet, in Israel, and none of them was cleansed, but—Naaman the Syrian.’ 28 And all in the synagogue were filled with wrath, hearing these things, 29 and having risen, they put him forth without the city, and brought him unto the brow of the hill on which their city had been built—to cast him down headlong, 30 and he, having gone through the midst of them, went away.

The second 490 years for the nation had 3.5 years to go after Jesus died on the cross. The last 3.5 years were graciously put on hold while Jesus continued to work salvation for His people in the spirit realm. He was rescuing them from their death of Adam on the cross. Jesus died in the place of Adam in the land of types. His resurrection landed Him in the new creation; old creation waited. Just as the fulfillment Pentecost in Jerusalem was a spirit-realm sabbatism (of days) so the marriage would be the spirit-realm sabbatism (of years). 50 days = 7 x 7, sabbatized by the original never-ending sabbath day. 50 years is 7 x 7, sabbatized by the original new-land sabbatical.

Jesus took 70 years from His flesh and blood birth to telos Adam’s 930 years and to reign in Adam’s never-ending millennial sabbath. As the firstborn of the new covenant, Jesus continued completing Adam’s 930 years that had been graciously put on hold in Hades. In the mean time, that generation of Jews was graciously put on hold at the cross, so Jesus could give them His born again new covenant body, just as Adam was put on hold in Hades until Jesus would be born to take up where he was left off. Under law, Jerusalem deserved to die immediately after the cross, for murdering a righteous man. The death penalty was put on hold until AD 70. The land was finally put to rest in the Fall of AD 70, after a long-suffering grace period.

Adam was taken off his holding pattern at Jesus’ birth. The nation was put on their holding pattern at Jesus’ death. As first born, Jesus was alone in the new creation. He needed to form a nation from His human body. The nation released from His side became the regeneration nation that continued to reform. On Pentecost they received a new Holy Spirit enablement. They were not made never-ending until the last day of the feast of tabernacles, when Adam became 1000 years old. The widowed nation spiritually married the new first born as He brought eternal life to all humanity, even the diaspora proselytes out of the field at large; the ‘tamed or humanized animals’ in typical language. It was Adam’s and the nation’s great commission.

The old covenant unregenerate nation was taken off their holding pattern to resume their final 3.5 years in the Spring of AD 67. The old covenant people of God either chose the death of Adam or they chose the resurrection life of Christ. They were either judged for eschaton Adam’s death on the cross or they joined His resurrection body. They either faced the second death of the flesh and blood first-born nation or they became part of the never-ending regeneration nation. They gained or lost access to the true tree of life to-the-age.

Jubilees 4:29-31 … And at the close of the nineteenth jubilee, in the seventh week in the sixth year of it, Adam died, and all his sons buried him in the land of his creation, and he was the first to be buried in the earth. And he lacked seventy years of one thousand years; for one thousand years are as one day in the testimony of the heavens and therefore was it written concerning the tree of knowledge: ‘On the day that you eat of it you shall die.’ For this reason he did not complete the years of this day; for he died during it.

Though not canonical, Jubilees gives us some relevant Hebrew thoughts; not all accurate of course. The only complete book of Jubilees is in an Ethiopic translation, which was derived from a Greek translation derived from it’s Hebrew origin. Only fragments of the Greek and Hebrew texts have been found. But if Adam died before completing his day and Jesus took Adam’s place, then Adam’s day transitioned into the “Day of the Lord”; TO BE brought to life and CONTINUED.

Jesus succeeded where Adam failed. Jesus is the antitypical tree of life who took His people to the age eyes opened and still spiritually alive. Adam was banned from the typical tree of life lest his typical flesh and blood body live to the age of 1000 spiritually dead. Jesus took God’s people to the sabbatism that Adam missed with his eyes opened. Adam, by God’s grace, was detained 70 years short of it. Jesus fulfilled the final 70 years of types individually and nationally, in order to rescue and sabbatize those who were stuck in the inherent death of the firstborn. Everyone who covenantally died during the old covenant creation typically joined Adam in Hades or Israel in diaspora, which was everyone. They were all put on hold in their death until the body could be rejuvenated in Christ. Then they put on the new, being rejuvenated in the image of God.

Ephesians 4:22-24

CLV 22 to put off from you, as regards your former behavior, the old humanity which is corrupted in accord with its seductive desires, 23 yet to be rejuvenated in the spirit of your mind, 24 and to put on the new humanity which, in accord with God, is being created in righteousness and benignity of the truth.”

Genesis 3:22

YLT 22 And Jehovah God saith, `Lo, the man was as one of Us, as to the knowledge of good and evil; and now, lest he send forth his hand, and have taken also of the tree of life, and eaten, and lived to the age,’ [Typical life was flesh and blood. They needed their spiritual life restored and made even more grace-giving before fulfilling the typical age]

Jesus was born son of Adam in order to take his place. He completed His work of salvation for the Jews in the spirit realm; after the resurrection; in their new spiritual covenant. Then He sent a flesh and blood body back to the land of unbelief to destroy the ones who chose the death of Adam over the life of Christ. Those still in the old covenant, along with the unbelievers in Hades (same spiritual death), chose to stay in the death of Adam. The grace period was ended for both Adam and the nation. Jesus took up where He had typically left off at the cross when He sent a typical flesh and blood army to end the typical flesh and blood old covenant for good. That old covenant destruction took 3.5 years to complete.

The destruction of Jerusalem started in the Spring, in the middle of their broken seven-year covenant with Rome. It was an adulterous affair. After 3.5 years with Christ, Jerusalem had rejected Him. After 3.5 years with Rome, Rome rejected Jerusalem. The old covenant grace period was ending with the final telos of their final sabbatical. After AD 70 nobody could be saved from the old covenant anymore because nobody was in the old covenant anymore. The old covenant world ended with either salvation or second death. Salvation is the never-ending sabbath of marriage to the true husbandman of all the land.

Jesus took His finished work to a new creation for His people. Jesus, through the betrothal gift of the Holy Spirit, would lead His being-prepared people to the being-prepared promised land. He Himself would take them in because Moses couldn’t take them in. The law man couldn’t even take himself in. The Joshua of the first exodus took the typical re-generation in, but he didn’t give them permanent rest. There remained a sabbatism for the people of God. Like Adam, the nation was headed for their 1000 year age spiritually dead. And like Adam the nation was given a grace period while their Messiah worked salvation. The typical Joshua pointed them to the fulfillment Joshua who would give the land permanent rest from the works of their flesh and blood mode. They typically wanted a military messiah so He sent the Roman military to end their typical existence.

Peter preached the gospel to the Hebrews on Pentecost. The good news is: trust God and he will make you in into a great people, in His name, in His image. That is what God proposed to them at Sinai. Peter told them even better news at the fulfilment of Moses coming down Mt Sinai. The image of God came down from God and into their heart by way of the Holy Spirit. Every single born-again Jew accepted the remarriage proposal for their nation. Jesus redeemed the failures of Adam, Abraham, Moses, Joshua, David, Solomon, the Jews in the land, all His diaspora people and their proselytes. Together they became the new-human-creation nation.

They were supposed to find sabbath rest in the wilderness journey. God had rescued them from the pharaoh and was leading and protecting them all the way to the promised land. These are the two sabbath rests: one is in the acceptance of God’s promise at Sinai and one is in the promised land of marriage. The first century Hebrews were in between the fulfillment’s of these two sabbath rests when Hebrews was written to the Hebrews. They were spiritually betrothed but not yet spiritually married. They were married to the Holy Spirit of promise (given the faith of Christ) but not married to Christ (given the city of Christ in heaven).

The Hebrews who gathered at Pentecost already believed the same thing Jesus believed. They both believed the Law and the Prophets. They had the same faith, ostensibly. But when tested, their actions belied their belief. Their discredited faith needed Christ’s credibility. They needed to inherit the faith of Jesus to save them. They needed a faithful firstborn to head up the family of humanity.

After Pentecost there still remained the singular sabbath rest (Of marriage) for the people of God. Not believing the gospel was like not accepting His proposal at Sinai. That was the only disobedience that could keep them from entering the promised land (marriage). True sabbath rest is only in the body of Christ. Jesus sat at the right hand of the Father and entered His rest, after taking the full image of God bodily into the new creation. He then sent the Holy Spirit (down the mountain) to bring His people into His very good work of redemption. They were enabled to join in His work of reigning in the 1000-year ‘day of Adam’ – become the Day of Christ: to the age.

The church could prepare to marry Him, enabled by the Holy Spirit. Jesus already took the complete image of God to the seventh day in the old covenant. Jesus’ sixth day completion was confirmed by the Holy Spirit and by God at Jesus’ 7th day baptism. That was the beginning of the reformation body. His baptism was on a sabbath. He then began the 7 year work of His ministry, but was cut off in the middle. Jesus was revealed as the messiah after His image of God in man was approved on a sabbath. He began His work of spiritual service to the Jewish nation at 30 years of age.

The word messiah is used only twice in Daniel: in 9:25 and 9:26. Daniel tells us that the Messiah is cut off some time after the 69th seven; not during or at the end of. Daniel seems to indicate the middle of the 70th week. The last seven year count started with the 69th sabbath year, since it was the arrival to the beginning of the 70th sabbatical that brought eternal life not the completion of it.

The Hebrew word for messiah is only used twice by John, both after Jesus’ baptism: in John 1:41 and 4:25. John tells us in 1:41 that the Hebrew word ‘messiah’ is interpreted ‘christ’ in the Greek. The Messiah was cut off after the 69th year according to Daniel. The final seven remained to be arrived at for the people of God: the 70th seven. In the mean time, Jesus would personally complete His grace filled 70 years to save those who were in the dead body of Adam.

Either that generation of Jews was graciously put on hold, so they could be rescued from the death of Adam, or every generation since is still on hold. 70 years from Jesus’ birth is when the old covenant humanity was finally sabbatized: put to rest. The typical land was put to rest by the spiritual fulfillment. Just as Jesus told the Jewish teacher Nicodemus. The regeneration by the Spirit He sent is the only way in. Flesh and blood could not inherit His rest.

Daniel 9:27

ECB 27 And he empowers a covenant with many – one week: and in the half of the week he shabbathizes the sacrifice and the offering; and for the wing of abominations he desolates it even until the final finish; and pours what is appointed on the desolate.

He sabbitized the sacrifice in the middle of the last week by becoming the fulfilment Lamb who redeemed the firstborn and by becoming the first fruit of the spiritual land in His resurrection. The typical sacrifice and libation wasn’t actually taken away for 33+ more years. He Himself ascended as the sacrifice and libation to offer Himself in the true temple in heaven to be the permanent High Priest of the Hebrews. After the grace gap of 33+ years, typical time resumed and the types were finally put to rest. The old covenant count resumed for 3.5 years of destruction because the types couldn’t save anyone.

A good 7th day sabbath rest reinvigorates the biological body for another week of work. As also a woman and man in the promise of marriage to each other are inspired by that engagement to remain diligent. My children became highly motivated people upon meeting their soul mate. I had given up on motivating them any more. The fifth and final adult child was no less surprising to me, when I saw him become so inspired by the engagement. The church on earth was reminded to be remain faithfully engaged while the new husbandman of God’s land was working for them in heaven. Entering into the sabbath rest of engagement blesses the work. The truly telosed work week leads to that good day of rest every time.

Joshua did give them their first sabbatical after the two battles of Ai and Jericho. They left Egypt in the spring and entered the land in the summer. Sabbath years began in the fall. Joshua even acted as a priest without the proper genealogy to do so. He read the law to them in Autumn of the first year in the land. Reading the law was done at the beginning of the sabbath year. Hearing the law in the land initiated their first sabbatical. After counting to seven years in the land, only the priest could read the law to start the second one of the sabbaticals in their count to Jubilee. Completing seven sabbaths would make eight sabbaticals in total. Of course the first year was a seventh year already granted, so they began counting to seven after that initial sabbath year. The short and blessed by God engagement of the first two battles allowed them to put their law on the land and find rest.

Luke 6:1

KJV 1 And it came to pass on the second sabbath after the first, that he went through the corn fields; and his disciples plucked the ears of corn, and did eat, rubbing them in their hands. [this verse refers to their sabbaths count to Pentecost rather than their sabbaticals count to Jubilee]

Typical Joshua did not bring true sabbath rest to the land: that land marriage was not permanent. The fulfillment Joshua became the permanent heavenly high priest of the Hebrews who came to put the law of God on their heart. The earthly types were copies of the true ones in heaven. Since the Holy Spirit lives in the spirit realm of heaven, He didn’t bring a copy of the law written on stone. He brought the very image of God (down the mountain) to write Him on the heart. Spirit to spirit relationship takes place in the heavenly realm. You know God after you are known by God: spiritually. God is spirit and those who worship Him do it in spirit and in truth.

Jesus/Joshua as the priest in heaven sent His law to the Hebrew heart on the sabbath rest of betrothal. That 50th day engagement baptism lead them to the 50th year marriage. He was preparing a permanent land for them in the spirit realm of heaven while the Holy Spirit enabled them for the sabbath rest of marriage. In THE LETTER TO THE HEBREWS, they were told to join in on the work to be done. They were enabled to do very good work by the sabbath of betrothal. They were being formed into the national soul-mate of their messiah.

They were released from the side of spiritually dead Adam on the cross and engaged to the new and living first born. Therefore their remained a sabbath rest for the people of God. The two became one. The three didn’t become two bodies. There is one body of Christ; Jew and Gentile alike formed the one bride of Christ. There isn’t a Jewish body of Christ to come after the Gentile body of Christ. The Hebrews aren’t returning to the land for the typical sabbatism that remains. The 70 year sabbath rest for the second failed 490 was already fulfilled by Christ.

Typical sabbaths were temporary rehearsals or patterns that were shadows of the real one in the spirit realm. Jesus defeated all the spirit realm enemies including spiritual death. He did this for the eternal wedding. Nobody looses their spiritual relationship with God after the wedding, which was salvation. Miraculously, Jesus lost none of His to that death even before the marriage. Those born again by the Holy Spirit today are born as children into the already secured family of God. We are not closer to salvation today then when we first believed.

Romans 13:11

LITV 11 Also this, knowing the time, that it is now the hour for you to be aroused from sleep, for now our salvation is nearer than when we believed.

Isaiah 53:11

CLV 11 From the toil of His soul shall He see light. And He shall be satisfied by His knowledge. My righteous Servant shall justify many, and with their depravities shall He be burdened.”

Hebrews 9:28

LITV 28 so being once offered “to bear the sins of many,” Christ shall appear a second time without sin to those expecting Him for salvation. Isa. 53:12

The Letter to the Hebrews: Chapter 4

LITV 1 Then let us fear lest in any way a promise having been left to enter into His rest, that any of you may seem to come short. 2 For, indeed, we have had the gospel preached to us, even as they also; but the word did not profit those hearing it, not having been mixed with faith in the ones who heard. 3 For we, the ones believing, enter into the rest, even as He said, “As I swore in My wrath, they shall not enter into My rest,” though the works had come into being from the foundation of the world. LXX-Psa. 94:11, MT-Psa. 95:11 4 For He has spoken somewhere about the seventh day this way, “And God rested from all His works in the seventh day.” Gen. 2:2 5 And in this place again, “They shall not enter into My rest.” LXX-Psa. 94:11; MT-Psa. 95:11 6 Therefore, since it remains for some to enter into it, and those who formerly had the gospel preached did not enter in on account of disobedience, 7 He again marks out a certain day, saying in David, Today (after so long a time, according as He has said), “Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts.” LXX-Psa. 94:7, 8; MT-Psa. 95:7, 8 8 For if Joshua gave them rest, then He would not have afterwards spoken about another day. 9 So, then, there remains a sabbath rest to the people of God10 For he entering into His rest, he himself also rested from His works, as God had rested from His own. LXX-Psa. 95:11, Gen. 2:2 11 Therefore, let us exert ourselves to enter into that rest, that not anyone fall in the same example of disobedience. 12 For the word of God is living, and powerfully working, and sharper than every two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of both soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge of the thoughts and intentions of the heart; 13 and there is no creature unrevealed before Him; but all things are naked and laid open to His eyes, with whom is our account. 14 Then having a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast the confession. 15 For we do not have a high priest not being able to sympathize with our weaknesses but One having been tried in all respects according to our likeness, apart from sin. 16 Therefore, let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and we may find grace for help in time of need.

Psalms 95:10-11

LITV 10 For forty years I was disgusted with this generation; and I said, They are a people who err in heart; and, They do not know My ways, 11 to whom I swore in My anger, They shall not enter into My rest.

They” of the typical exodus did not enter the promised land. The re-generation of their body did. The Hebrews being referred to as the “today” generation were told to not be like the ones who did not believe the gospel in the wilderness or they would not enter either. The remaining sabbath rest of marriage was fast approaching for the regenerate Hebrews. Their salvation was nearer then when they first believed. Jesus came to give them His sabbath rest of marriage. A good marriage is an accomplishment that enables our work. The best day to marry symbolically is a sabbath day. The Hebrews who did not believe the gospel did not enter the sabbath rest that remained for them to enter. They lost their salvation. Salvation is of the Jews.

Even in the first exodus there were plenty of Gentiles who joined the family of Hebrews. They were still the Hebrew nation headed for the typical promised land no matter how many Gentiles joined them in that exodus from slavery. It was the law of God that made them great. It was written in His name/image/character, by his hand, on the new covenant Hebrew heart for the made-better marriage. Everyone but two in the typical generation had to die before the nation could enter the typical promised land. The first century generation of Hebrews were given new life in order to enter the anti-typical promised land. The two faithful old covenant Hebrews (John the baptist and Jesus) who gave the initial good news report were the first to die in the land in the chiastic reversal leading to the spirit realm fulfillment.

Psalms 95:11 – to unregenerate Hebrews

CLV 11 As I swear in My anger, They assuredly shall not enter into My resting place!”

Hebrews 4:10 – to the re-generation Hebrews

LITV 10 For he entering into His rest, he himself also rested from His works, as God had rested from His own.

I don’t know who “he” is in Hebrews 4:10. It is either Jesus who sat down at the Father’s right hand or His regenerate people who entered into His sabbath rest by way of the Holy Spirit: sealed for the day of redemption. Jesus was waiting for His Father to tell Him the day of the marriage. They were both in betrothal and waiting for the marriage. Jesus was still working during the betrothal too, because He went to prepare the place in heaven. But He rested from the most troubling work of rescuing His chosen people from their death. He lost none of His own.

Ephesians 1:11-14

LITV 11 in whom we also have been chosen to an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of the One working all things according to the counsel of His own will, 12 for us to be to the praise of His glory, the ones who had previously trusted in Christ; 13 in whom also you, hearing the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, in whom also believing you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, 14 who is an earnest of our inheritance, to the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.

The letter to the Hebrews was written in Greek not Hebrew, because the international language of the day was Greek and the Hebrews were scattered internationally. Even so, at Pentecost they were supernaturally enabled to hear the gospel in all their national languages. The betrothal lifted them Spirit to spirit no matter where they lived or what language they spoke.

Romans 8:16

ECB 16 The self-same Spirit co-witnesses with our spirit, that we are the children of Elohim:

Romans 8:16

YLT 16 The Spirit himself doth testify with our spirit, that we are children of God;

One more observation about the timing of Christ in making up for the 70 years that Adam lacked to reach 1000 years: Jubilee years were not actually counted by Jews as years in the age Adam. In The Book Of Jubilees, Adam died just before the 19th Jubilee. He was one year short of it. 19 x 49 = 931. Adam died in the year 930. His birthday was also the birthday of the world of humanity (the world Christ came to save), since Adam was the first human in that orderly arrangement. 20 x 49 = 980, so even if Adam or Israel had arrived alive to the 20th Jubilee, there would still be 20 years lacking to reach 1000 years.

Jubilee years began in the middle of a 49th year and were not additional years. They were imbedded or overlapping years. By the time Peter wrote his letter concerning the 1000 years, even the extra 20 years would have expired since the nation celebrated their 20th Jubilee. According to Daniel, Jesus was cut off in the middle of the last seven year count to their 20th Jubilee. The nation was graciously put on hold at the cross while the years of the original humanity in Adam were being fulfilled, in the human body of Christ. The irreverent humanity who rejected Christ’s humanity as bad, remained in the ‘good’ old covenant. They would be destroyed for 3.5 years after Adam reached the age of 1000 alive in Christ. “Us” in 2 Peter 3:9 is the Jews.

2 Peter 3:7-9

ECB 7 and the heavens and the earth, now being, by the same word are treasured – guarded to fire to the day of judgment and destruction of irreverent humanity. 8 But beloved, hide not from this: that one day with Yah Veh is as a thousand years and a thousand years as one day. 9 Yah Veh is not slack concerning his pre-evangelism as some deem slackness; but is patient to us, who wills that not any destruct, but that all pass to repentance.

In John 3:16 Jesus promised a Jewish teacher named Nicodemus that He would not destroy anyone who trusted in Him. Obviously the destruction of Jerusalem in AD 70 was God’s wrath upon the unbelievers who wanted to keep the old world. God’s grace period to the Jews extended past the 490 years of forgiveness.

John 3

ECB 1
THE SPIRIT BIRTH
And there is a human of the Pharisees; his name, Nicodemus – an arch of the Yah Hudiym: 2 who comes to Yah Shua by night, and says to him, Rabbi, we know you are a doctor come from Elohim: for no one can do these signs you do unless Elohim be with him. 3 Yah Shua answers him, saying, Amen! Amen! I word to you, Unless one is birthed from above, he cannot see the sovereigndom of Elohim. 4 Nicodemus words to him, How can a human be birthed when he is old? Can he enter the womb of his mother a second time and be birthed? 5 Yah Shua answers, Amen! Amen! I word to you, Unless one is birthed of water and of the Spirit he cannot enter the sovereigndom of Elohim: 6 that birthed of the flesh is flesh; and that birthed of the Spirit is spirit: 7 marvel not that I say to you, you need to be birthed from above. 8 The Spirit puffs where he wills and you hear his voice; but know not whence it comes and where it goes: thus is everyone birthed of the Spirit. 9 Nicodemus answers him, saying, How can these be? 10 Yah Shua answers him, saying, You, a doctor of Yisra El, and know these not? 11 Amen! Amen! I word to you, We speak what we know, and witness what we see; and you take not our witness: 12 if I say to you of the earthly, and you trust not, how trust you, whenever I say to you of the heavenlies? 13 And no one ascends to the heavens, except whoever descends from the heavens – even the Son of humanity who is in the heavens. 14
ETERNAL LIFE
And exactly as Mosheh exalted the serpent in the wilderness, even thus must the Son of humanity be exalted: 15 so that whoever trusts in him destructs not, but has eternal life. John 12:30-34 16 For Elohim loved the cosmos thus: that he gave his only birthed Son; that whoever trusts in him destructs not but has eternal life. 17 For Elohim apostolized not his Son into the cosmos to judge the cosmos; but that the cosmos be saved through him. 18 Whoever trusts in him is not judged; but whoever trusts not is already judged: because he trusts not in the name of the only birthed Son of Elohim. 19 And this is the judgment: light comes into the cosmos, and men love darkness rather than light because their works are evil. 20 For everyone doing evil hates the light; and comes not to the light lest his works be reproved: 21 but whoever does truth comes to the light, to manifest that his works are worked in Elohim. 22
THE FINAL WITNESS OF BAPTIZER YAHN
After these, Yah Shua and his disciples go to the land of Yah Hudah; and he tarries with them, and baptizes: 23 and Yahn also baptizes in Ainon near Shalem because there is much water there: and they come, and are baptized: 24 for Yahn is not yet cast into the guardhouse. 25 So there is a question between some of the disciples of Yahn and the Yah Hudiym about purifying: 26 and they go to Yahn, and say to him, Rabbi, he who is with you beyond Yarden, to whom you witness, behold, he baptizes, and all go to him. 27 Yahn answers, saying, Humanity can take naught unless it is given him from the heavens. 28 You yourselves witnessed that I said, I am not the Messiah; but that I am apostolized ahead of him. 29 He who has the bride is the bridegroom: but the friend of the bridegroom who stands and hears him, cheers with cheer because of the voice of the bridegroom: so this my joy is fulfilled/shalamed. 30 He must grow; and me to lessen: 31 He who comes from above is over all: He who is of the earth is of the earth, and speaks of the earth: whoever comes from the heavens is over all. 32 And what he see and hears, he witnesses; and no one takes his witness: 33 whoever takes his witness sets his seal that Elohim is true: 34 for he whom Elohim apostolizes speaks the rhema of Elohim: for Elohim gives him not the Spirit by measure. 35 The Father loves the Son and gives all into his hand. 36 He who trusts in the Son has eternal life: and he who distrusts the Son sees not life; but the wrath of Elohim abides on him.

Matthew 18:22

ECB 22 Yah Shua words to him, I word not to you, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.

Daniel 9:24

YLT 24 `Seventy weeks are determined for thy people, and for thy holy city, to shut up the transgression, and to seal up sins, and to cover iniquity, and to bring in righteousness age-during, and to seal up vision and prophet, and to anoint the holy of holies.

The 70 times 7 of forgiveness in the NT is echoing the 70 times 7 of Daniel 9. God forgave the Jews once every year granting them an additional year in the land. Times in Daniel is years.

Although the Lord had promised deliverance to His people at the time appointed, Daniel also wrote of their conditional forgiveness at the end of the 490. The 490 years of mercy was a probationary period for repentance. The 490 years were especially assigned to the Jews who were chosen as the last tribe in the land from which salvation would come for all God’s chosen ones, for salvation is of the Jews.

When Jesus answered Peter’s question about how many times to forgive his fellow Jews, He answered, 70 times 7. Jesus compared Peter’s 7 times of mercy to God’s far greater mercy. God’s revived covenant with His chosen ones went to the Jews first and patiently held out for them even as the Gentiles were being adopted into the family. The international family of God came to include anyone who trusted Christ as the new firstborn.

Galatians 3:29

YLT 29 and if ye are of Christ then of Abraham ye are seed, and according to promise—heirs.

The lives of the beasts (not true-human bodies) were graciously prolonged before the kingdom of God became international. One of the beasts of Revelation and Daniel was from the sea and another was from the land. People from both Jew and Gentile nations were given extra time to repent and avoid the wrath of God, even past the 490 years that marked the end of the old covenant. The beast from the sea being Rome and Nero and the beast from the land being Jerusalem and the false prophet or the false Christs who deceived many with miracles and thus usurped even Roman authority.

Daniel 7:11-14

KJV 11 I beheld then because of the voice of the great words which the horn spake: I beheld even till the beast was slain, and his body destroyed, and given to the burning flame. 12 As concerning the rest of the beasts, they had their dominion taken away: yet their lives were prolonged for a season and time. 13 I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him. 14 And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.
