8th Day Resurrection

Jesus entered Jerusalem on Nisan 10th as the chosen Lamb of God who would die for the nation and the children of God in the diaspora. He was sacrificed on the 14th and raised to the 3rd day, which would be the 17th. He was resurrected as firstborn of the new creation on the 8th day from the day they chose the Passover Lamb. Jesus redeemed all God’s children from the death of the firstborn. Jesus’ “Passion Week” resulted in a new covenant creation with a living firstborn, on the 8th day.

John 11:49-53,55

LITV 49 But a certain one of them, Caiaphas being high priest of that year, said to them, You know nothing, 50 nor consider that it is profitable for us that one man die for the people, and not all the nation to perish. 51 But he did not say this from himself, but being high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus was about to die on behalf of the nation52 and not only on behalf of the nation, but that He also might gather into one the children of God who had been scattered. 53 Then from that day, they took counsel that they might kill Him. 55 And the Passover of the Jews was near.

Jesus arrived in Jerusalem on Lamb Selection Day, which was the 10th of Nisan. It is the day we recognize today as “Palm Sunday”. The chosen lambs were taken into the house for inspection on the 10th. Jesus as the perfect Lamb of God was daily at the Temple (in the Father’s house), where everyone could hear His words and search for some disqualifying imperfection. Sacrificed on the 14th, He was raised on the 17th. They were much more humane with the animal sacrifices.

8th Day Circumcision

8th day circumcision was only a type of a new creation during the old covenant era. Circumcision in the flesh of an old creation human pointed to the new covenant not in the flesh. Circumcision only pointed forward until the new creation actually arrived. Then it actually pointed back to the old covenant man who was still in the flesh. The old man was crucified. Trying to keep the old man alive in the flesh became detrimental to the transition of covenants. Enforcing a new covenant circumcision in the flesh implied that the old elements still had a hold on God’s people.

Circumcision in the new creation is by way of the Holy Spirit. If anyone has the Holy Spirit his head is no longer in the flesh creation of Adam or Moses. His head is Christ in heaven. The Holy Spirit circumcised the heart of the 12 tribes on the 8th sabbath of Pentecost, because it was a fulfillment of what the typical circumcision represented: a newborn recreation.

Colossians 2:14-17

WARNINGS
So no one is to judge you in food or in drink or in apportioning a celebration or of the new moon or of the shabbaths: 17 which are a shadow of the about to be; and the body is of the Messiah.

The new covenant body is now of the messiah, not of Adam or of Moses. The messiah sent the Holy Spirit to write the law on the heart of His old covenant people. The law on the heart did not include the elements of the law that were symbolic or were a shadow of the about-to-be body in the heavenly realm. Even the old covenant temple that was about to disappear was a copy of the real one in heaven. The spirit realm creation of God’s new covenant was what the flesh realm of the old covenant types pointed to.

Hebrews 8:4-6 AMPC [But these offer] service [merely] as a pattern and as a foreshadowing of [what has its true existence and reality in] the heavenly sanctuary. For when Moses was about to erect the tabernacle, he was warned by God, saying, See to it that you make it all [exactly] according to the copy (the model) which was shown to you on the mountain.

When eschaton Adam died, He died as if He were the first Adam, in order to put the adamic man to death and to overcome His/his death. Jesus did not come out of old covenant death by remaining in the old covenant. He came out of the old and into the new. The old man was Adamic. Jesus is never called second Adam in the Bible. He is called escahtos Adam and then the second human or the second humanity. Last Adam died to become a life giving spirit, not a second flesh and blood Adam.

He was resurrected into the new creation where He became the head human with a new family name. He put the old husbandman Adam to death. Jesus took His complete humanity from the old covenant but He did not resurrect Adam to be the firstborn again. Adam, after his fall, still had access to the typical tree of life that still would have enabled him to live to the end of the typical age, but not spiritually. Jesus as firstborn of the new family tree is a life giving spirit. From the new creation in heaven He sent the Holy Spirit, to grant to His people spiritual life, so they would live in the Spirit to the end of the typical age.

Those who ended the age in Adam went to second death. God had removed Adam from the garden so humanity wouldn’t live to the age until the spiritual family arrived to rescue them from their spiritual death. God took His people out of the nation and the diaspora before the old ended in second death. Adam was still a type of the one that was about to be. God’s people were between the trees. Jesus died on the tree as Adam to become the spiritual tree of life for those who were about to be saved.

Romans 5:14

ECB 14 Rather death reigned from Adam to Mosheh, even over them who sinned not after the likeness of the transgression of Adam – who is the type of the one about to be.

The new covenant family tree of humanity is not in the flesh of Adam. Yeshua is the never-retiring high priest without genealogy. The new creation is not in the flesh tree. We don’t even identify ourselves in God’s family by which of the 12 sons of Jacob we were born into. The last surviving tribe in the land was predominantly from the progeny of Judah. Hence Jesus was a Jew in the flesh. The family of God has since transitioned into the new creation, no longer in the flesh, starting with a single dead old covenant Jew who was resurrected by the Holy Spirit as first born of the new covenant tree of life. He didn’t just physically die on the cross. He covenantally died on the old covenant tree.

2 Corinthians 5:16-17

You see how great a scribing I scribe to you with my own hand. 12 As many as will to make a fair show in the flesh, compel you to circumcise; only lest they suffer persecution for the stake of the Messiah. 13 For neither they who circumcises guard the torah; but they will to have you circumcised, so as to boast in your flesh. 14 So be it not that I boast, except in the stake of our Adonay Yah Shua Messiah – through whom the cosmos is staked to me and also I to the cosmos. 15 For in Messiah Yah Shua neither is circumcision of any ability nor uncircumcision – but a new creation. 16 And as many as march by this canon, shalom and mercy on them and on the Yisra El of Elohim. 17 From henceforth belabor not to embarrass me: for I bear in my body the stigmas of Adonay Yah Shua. 18 Brothers, the charism of our Adonay Yah Shua Messiah be with your spirit. Paul was no longer proud of his flesh circumcision or tribal affiliation. He had new creation scars in his flesh for preaching the new cosmos elements of the messiah Yah Shua. The new orderly arrangement did not include the element of circumcision in the flesh. But Paul wrote during the transition period. The typical elements of the law were still in the process of going away. Spiritual circumcision had arrived on the 8th sabbath day of Pentecost, but the new creation salvation was not made complete until the 8th day of tabernacles, when all 7 typical feasts were put to rest.

Genesis 17:13-14

YLT 13 he is certainly circumcised who is born in thine house, or bought with thy money; and My covenant hath become in your flesh a covenant age-during; 14 and an uncircumcised one, a male, the flesh of whose foreskin is not circumcised, even that person hath been cut off from his people; My covenant he hath broken.’

Circumcision was covenantally crucial until the end of the old covenant age. It was age-lasting or age-during. It didn’t apply to the new creation Gentiles, even before the old covenant age ended, because they were never in the flesh covenant with God. Jesus was born into that flesh covenant, so He was circumcised in the flesh on the 8th day. He was covenantally put to death for others’ failure to keep the law. It was not for His breaking of the law, so He broke out of that old covenant death on the eighth day to fulfill the antitype of circumcision: a new Holy Spirit creation not in the flesh! Jesus’ body was a new creation in the flesh in the old covenant.

Luke 2:21

CLV 21 And when the eight days to His circumcising are fulfilled, His name also was called Jesus, which He was called by the messenger before His conception in the womb.”

Galatians 5:11-12 The Message (MSG)

As for the rumor that I continue to preach the ways of circumcision (as I did in those pre-Damascus Road days), that is absurd. Why would I still be persecuted, then? If I were preaching that old message, no one would be offended if I mentioned the Cross now and then—it would be so watered-down it wouldn’t matter one way or the other. Why don’t these agitators, obsessive as they are about circumcision, go all the way and castrate themselves!

8th Sabbath of Pentecost

Pentecost was not on the 8th day of the seventh week. It was on the 7th day of the 7th week. Jesus entered Jerusalem on the 7th day as the complete human. He then finished His last old covenant 6-day work week for His people. 7, 1-2-3-4-5-6-7 = 8th day new creation on the day of First Fruit. He was resurrected into the next 7th day of rest so He could grant His humanity to His people on Pentecost.

Just as Jesus was resurrected into the new on the 8th day, so it was an 8th day when the Holy Spirit circumcised the heart of His people and brought them into the new covenant creation. This is how you should count to Pentecost from First Fruit: 7, 1-2-3-4-5-6-7, 1-2-3-4-5-6-7, 1-2-3-4-5-6-7, 1-2-3-4-5-6-7, 1-2-3-4-5-6-7, 1-2-3-4-5-6-7, 1-2-3-4-5-6-7 = the 8th sabbath = the 50th day = the new breath in humanity = the new creation.

Yeast for that year’s bread mysteriously arrived in the air. All the old yeast was done away with during the 7 days of unleavened bread. The new leavening could begin on the 8th day. On Pentecost the new yeast from the first fruit of the Barley malt was ready to be used to make the first fruit of the wheat harvest rise. Jesus provided the new leaven for the Pentecost offerings.

Offerings were typically made on sabbaths. You have to decide for yourself which of the following two translations is accurate: either start the 50-day count to Pentecost from the seventh day of rest or from the first day of the work week: count to 50 from the day of the sabbath or the day after the sabbath.

Sabbath to sabbath is 8 days. Jesus’ resurrection and the national resurrection were of course both spiritual. The same Holy Spirit caused both events. Like yeast, the phenomenon that caused them to rise arrived invisibly: in the air.

Mark 16:9

CLV 9 Now, rising in the morning in the first sabbath, He appeared first to Mary Magdalene, from whom He had cast out seven demons.”

John 20:1

CLV 1 Now, on one of the sabbaths, Miriam Magdalene is coming to the tomb in the morning, there being still darkness, and is observing the stone taken away from the door of the tomb.”

8th day of Tabernacles

Leviticus 23:33-36

LITV 33 And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying, 34 Speak to the sons of Israel, saying, In the fifteenth day of this seventh month shall be a Feast of Booths seven days to Jehovah. 35 On the first day shall be a holy gathering; you shall do no work of service. 36 Seven days you shall bring a fire offering to Jehovah; on the eighth day you shall have a holy gathering; and you shall bring the fire offering to Jehovah; it is a solemn assembly; you shall do no work of service.

John 7:2

8th Sabbatical of Jubilee

Since the first year in the land was a sabbatical year, then the count to seven years started the next year. After the Spring/Summer battles of Ai and Jericho, Joshua assembled the people and read the law to everyone, which according to that law was read in the 7th month and designated the commencement of a sabbatical year. The next four cities are reaped without a battle, as the covenant blessings of the sabbath year. Deuteronomy 31:12, Joshua 8:34-35, Joshua 9:17-27, Leviticus 25:20-22

7, 1-2-3-4-5-6-7, 1-2-3-4-5-6-7, 1-2-3-4-5-6-7, 1-2-3-4-5-6-7, 1-2-3-4-5-6-7, 1-2-3-4-5-6-7, 1-2-3-4-5-6-7 = the 8th sabbatical = the 50th year = Jubilee.

Paul was still in the transition from old covenant to new covenant, waiting for the old to end and the fullness of salvation to finally arrive. The never ending Jubilee is salvation. Jubilee was announced prior to Tabernacles, but it was the 8th day of tabernacles that finally put the 7 feasts to rest.

John 4:22

Philippians 3:1-16

If any other one is presuming to have confidence in flesh, I rather:” 5 in circumcision the eighth day, of the race of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of Hebrews, in relation to law, a Pharisee, 6 in relation to zeal, persecuting the ecclesia, in relation to the righteousness which is in law, becoming blameless.” 7 But things which were gain to me, these I have deemed a forfeit because of Christ.” 8 But, to be sure, I am also deeming all to be a forfeit because of the superiority of the knowledge of Christ Jesus, my Lord, because of Whom I forfeited all, and am deeming it to be refuse, that I should be gaining Christ, 9 and may be found in Him, not having my righteousness, which is of law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is from God for faith:” 10 to know Him, and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, conforming to His death, 11 if somehow I should be attaining to the resurrection that is out from among the dead. 12 Not that I already obtained, or am already perfected.
