The glory seen in Jesus was that of God’s grace and truth, not the glory of an unfallen flesh and blood body. Since Jesus was in an unfallen flesh and blood mortal body, both before and after His resurrection, then what was the glorification of the body?

John 1:14

CLV 14 And the Word became flesh and tabernacles among us, and we gaze at His glory, a glory as of an only-begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.”

After His struggle in the garden of Gethsemane, Jesus was about to return to the Father and bring his chosen ones into His new covenant place of glory in heaven. That is why the Father sent Him. Jesus glorified God in the land by finishing the work God sent Him there to do. He would continue His work of glorification from heaven. Christ completed the transition of covenants in the heavenly realm. Covenant transition was from one glory to a greater glory. It was a glorification to transition from the body of Moses to the body of Christ.

John 17:1-5

CLV 1 These things speaks Jesus, and lifting His eyes to heaven, He said, “Father, come has the hour. Glorify Thy Son, that Thy Son should be glorifying Thee, 2 according as Thou givest Him authority over all flesh, that everything which Thou hast given to Him, He should be giving it to them, even life eonian.” 3 Now it is eonian life that they may know Thee, the only true God, and Him Whom Thou dost commission, Jesus Christ.” 4 I glorify Thee on the earth, finishing the work which Thou hast given Me, that I should be doing it.” 5 And now glorify Thou Me, Father, with Thyself, with the glory which I had before the world [system] is with Thee.”

John 3:17

CLV 17 For God does not dispatch His Son into the world [system] that He should be judging the world [system], but that the world [system] may be saved through Him.

2 Corinthians 3:7-11

CLV 7 Now if the dispensation of death, by letters chiseled in stone, came in glory, so that the sons of Israel were not able to look intently into the face of Moses, because of the glory of his face, which was being nullified8 how shall not rather the dispensation of the spirit be in glory? 9 For if in the dispensation of condemnation is glory, much rather the dispensation of righteousness is exceeding in glory.” 10 For that also which has been glorified has not been glorified in this particular, on account of the glory transcendent.” 11 For if that which is being nullified [katargeō] was nullified through glory, much rather that which is remaining, remains in glory.

Romans 8:11 11 Now if the spirit of Him Who rouses Jesus from among the dead is making its home in you, He Who rouses Christ Jesus from among the dead will also be vivifying your mortal bodies because of His spirit making its home in you.”

Jesus gave His old covenant life to His new covenant people. He gave them His life to the age while they were still in mortal bodies. He did it from heaven. The life-giving Holy Spirit is one with the Spirit of Christ. The Trinity is pictured as one at Jesus’ baptism. He who raised Christ out of the place of the dead ones was giving the same resurrection to the still walking dead ones. Those still living were already dead and destined for Hades. They were being saved from Hades before biological death actually took them there. They were given the life of Christ while still in their mortal flesh and blood bodies.

Jesus’ people were born into the old covenant body, called the body of Adam or the body of Moses. Jesus was personally raised under law after being born into that old covenant body, but He was not yet in the death of Adam. He took on the death of Adam on the cross. Jesus raised His old covenant people to His place in life, by redeeming them from their place in Adam and rebirthing them into His new creation place. They were being saved by being born again into the new covenant family with the life-giving firstborn. Adam was the death-giving firstborn of the old covenant family.

Romans 8:15 speaks of the (Holy) Spirit of Sonship (sometimes translated as adoption). It was the transfer of sonship that made God’s people joint heirs with Christ as the first born Son rather than joint heirs with Adam as the first born son. The inheritance of the sonship of Adam was about to be the second death. The completed transition from Adam to Christ before that inheritance arrived was the glorification of the body. Romans 7 sets the context by referring to those in the flesh as those who know the law and were released from the law by the body of old covenant Christ, in order to marry the resurrected body of new covenant Christ. In the old He was eshatos (last) Adam. In the new He is first born. The body of the children of God was glorified when the last became first. The Holy Spirit of the Sonship of Christ causes us to cry, “Abba, Father!”

Romans 8:15

CLV 15 For you did not get slavery’s spirit to fear again, but you got the spirit of sonship, in which we are crying, “Abba, Father!”

Those in the flesh (in the old covenant flesh and blood body) were about to die. Jesus called His followers to come out of the old covenant and put the adamic body to death with Him.

Romans 8:13

CLV 13 for if you are living in accord with flesh, you are about to be dying. Yet if, in spirit, you are putting the practices of the body to death, you will be living.”

Jesus would not have died and gone to Hades when His mortal body arrived to the age alive. He died and went to Hades because He took the place of Adam on the cross. Hypothetically, had he not been called on to die on the cross in obedience to His Father, He would have ascended to heaven at the fulfillment of Adam’s and Israel’s millennium. He ascended to the heavenly promised land early, just 40 days after His resurrection, in order to bring His resurrection to His people. He took them to His millennium alive, by way of the glorification of the old covenant body.

Ironically, those who remained under the law could not subject themselves to the Word of God. When the Word became old covenant flesh, the people closed their eyes to God’s glory and called it satanic. After killing the God/Man in His incorruptible mortal flesh, the old covenant hold-outs chose to keep their corrupted flesh and blood covenant rather than be reborn by the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit was sent to them by the resurrected and ascended Christ, who had just redeemed them from their body of corruption. He offered them a new and living Sonship.

Jesus’ mortal body didn’t die because of His personal sin. Jesus chose to die because of the corporate sin of His people. Obviously, Jesus was born into a mortal body that could die, unfallen as it was. God intervened by way of a dream so Herod wouldn’t kill Jesus in His unfallen body before He reached the cross (or hypothetically the age of 1000). Jesus chose to rescue His people from their age of death by giving them His spiritual life. Spiritual life is Spirit to spirit communion. Jesus came to put the old covenant man to death, so He could resurrect His people into another day. His new covenant millennial day culminated in eternal life rather than eternal death, for the whole new covenant body. The flesh and blood millennium of Adam and Israel did not inherit eternal life. The body of glorification is the Holy Spirit birthed body of the true sons of God.

Romans 8:17-19 17 … that we should be glorified together also.” 18 … the glory about to be revealed for us19 … the unveiling of the sons of God [the resurrected Sonship].

Romans 8:1-30

CLV 1 Nothing, consequently, is now condemnation to those in Christ Jesus. Not according to flesh are they walking, but according to spirit, 2 for the [S]spirit’s law of life in Christ Jesus frees you from the law of sin and death. 3 For what was impossible to the law, in which it was infirm through the flesh, did God, sending His own Son in the likeness of sin’s flesh and concerning sin, He condemns sin in the flesh, 4 that the just requirement of the law may be fulfilled in us, who are not walking in accord with flesh, but in accord with spirit.” 5 For those who are in accord with flesh are disposed to that which is of the flesh, yet those who are in accord with spirit to that which is of the spirit.” 6 For the disposition of the flesh is death, yet the disposition of the spirit is life and peace, 7 because the disposition of the flesh is enmity to God, for it is not subject to the law of God, for neither is it able.” 8 Now those who are in flesh are not able to please God. 9 Yet you are not in flesh, but in spirit, if so be that God’s spirit is making its home in you. Now if anyone has not Christ’s spirit, this one is not His.” 10 Now if Christ is in you, the body, indeed, is dead because of sin, yet the spirit is life because of righteousness.” 11 Now if the spirit of Him Who rouses Jesus from among the dead is making its home in you, He Who rouses Christ Jesus from among the dead will also be vivifying your mortal bodies because of His spirit making its home in you.” 12 Consequently, then, brethren, debtors are we, not to the flesh, to be living in accord with flesh, 13 for if you are living in accord with flesh, you are about to be dying. Yet if, in spirit, you are putting the practices of the body to death, you will be living.” 14 For whoever are being led by God’s spirit, these are sons of God.” 15 For you did not get slavery’s spirit to fear again, but you got the spirit of sonship [same as at Jesus’ baptism], in which we are crying, “Abba, Father!” 16 The spirit itself [or the same Spirit] is testifying together with our spirit that we are children of God. 17 Yet if children, enjoyers also of an allotment, enjoyers, indeed, of an allotment from God, yet joint enjoyers of Christ’s allotment, if so be that we are suffering together, that we should be glorified together also.” 18 For I am reckoning that the sufferings of the current era do not deserve the glory about to be revealed for us19 For the premonition of the creation is awaiting the unveiling of the sons of God20 For to vanity was the creation subjected, not voluntarily, but because of Him Who subjects it, in expectation” 21 that the creation itself, also, shall be freed from the slavery of corruption into the glorious freedom of the children of God.” 22 For we are aware that the entire creation is groaning and travailing together until now. 23 Yet not only so, but we ourselves also, who have the firstfruit of the spirit, we ourselves also, are groaning in ourselves, awaiting the sonship, the deliverance of our body.” 24 For to expectation were we saved. Now expectation, being observed, is not expectation, for what anyone is observing, why is he expecting it also? 25 Now, if we are expecting what we are not observing, we are awaiting it with endurance.” 26 Now, similarly, the spirit also is aiding our infirmity, for what we should be praying for, to accord with what must be, we are not aware, but the spirit itself is pleading for us with inarticulate groanings.” 27 Now He Who is searching the hearts is aware what is the disposition of the spirit, for in accord with God is it pleading for the saints.” 28 Now we are aware that God is working all together for the good of those who are loving God, who are called according to the purpose” 29 that, whom He foreknew, He designates beforehand, also, to be conformed to the image of His Son [same as God’s image], for Him to be Firstborn among many brethren.” 30 Now whom He designates beforehand, these He calls also, and whom He calls, these He justifies also; now whom He justifies, these He glorifies also.

The glory of God’s presence revealed by Christ was not fading away even while He was in the temporary old covenant. Not only was old covenant Israel timing out but all other old covenant manifestations of God’s glory were temporary, like the fading glory of God’s presence from Moses’ face. Moses veiled his face so that the Israelites might not see that the glory of God’s presence under law was a fading glory, but the veil has been removed by Christ. The fulfillment of Mt Sinai was Pentecost, when the nation was reborn into the new covenant presence of God. His new covenant people reflect His non-fading presence with ever increasing glory. The new covenant is to life as the old was to death. Jesus took the old covenant death and resurrected it into a realm where dead and dying became a the live and living. The earthen bodies themselves did not become immortal.

2 Corinthians 3:18

YLT 18 and we all, with unveiled face, the glory of the Lord beholding in a mirror, to the same image are being transformed, from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

2 Corinthians 4:6-7

YLT  6 because it is God who said, Out of darkness light is to shine, who did shine in our hearts, for the enlightening of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. 7 And we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us;

In the new covenant, God’s image is given by the head of the human family, in a way that it was not in the old covenant, whether the head was Adam, Moses or Joshua. The new covenant was made more glorious than the old covenant was. The transition of covenants was the glorification of the dead and dying body of Adam into the living and life-giving body of Christ. Adam, or the old covenant humanity, was renewed in re-cognition. Satan didn’t give Adam his fulfillment at the original eyeopening event on the tree. The one creating him did that by way of the redemption and the recreation of humanity.

Colossians 3:10

LITV 10 and having put on the new, having been renewed in full knowledge [cognition] according to the image of the One creating him,

Genesis 1:27

CLV 27 And creating is the Elohim humanity in His image. In the image of the Elohim He creates it. Male and female He creates them.

26 We shall create humanity in our image

27 And God is creating humanity in His image

The new covenant first born is the fullness of the image of God in a way that Adam failed to live up to. The creator Himself took the place of fallen Adam. Imagine that.

Colossians 1:15-17

LITV 15 who is the image of the invisible God, the First-born of all creation. 16 For all things were created in Him, the things in the heavens, and the things on the earth, the visible and the invisible; whether thrones, or lordships, or rulers, or authorities, all things have been created through Him and for Him. 17 And He is before all things, and all things consist in Him.

Hebrews 1:3

LITV 3 who being the shining splendor of His glory, and the express image of His essence, and upholding all things by the word of His power, having made purification of our sins through Himself, He sat down on the right of the Majesty on high, Psa. 110:1

No one saw God until the time when the One was born to image Him.

John 1:18

LITV 18 No one has seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, that One reveals Him .

2 Corinthians 4:3-4

LITV 3 But also if our gospel is being hidden, it has been hidden in those being lost, 4 in whom the god of this age has blinded the thoughts of the unbelieving, so that the brightness of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should not dawn on them.

John 14:7-9

LITV 7 If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; and from now on you do know Him, and have seen Him. 8 And Philip said to Him, Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us. 9 Jesus said to him, Am I so long a time with you, and you have not known Me, Philip? The one seeing Me has seen the Father! And how do you say, Show us the Father?

Colossians 2:15-17

LITV 15 having stripped the rulers and the authorities, He made a show of them in public, triumphing over them in it. 16 Then do not let anyone judge you in eating, or in drinking, or in respect of a feast, or the new moon, or of sabbaths, 17 which are a shadow of coming things, but the body is of Christ.

1 Corinthians 15:21

ECB 21 For since through humanity, death, also through humanity, the resurrection of the dead [ones].

Romans 5:16-19

YLT 16 and not as through one who did sin is the free gift, for the judgment indeed is of one to condemnation, but the gift is of many offenses to a declaration of `Righteous,’ 17 for if by the offense of the one the death did reign through the one, much more those, who the abundance of the grace and of the free gift of the righteousness are receiving, in life shall reign through the one—Jesus Christ. 18 So, then, as through one offense to all men [humanity] it is to condemnation, so also through one declaration of `Righteous’ it is to all men [humanity] to justification of life; 19 for as through the disobedience of the one man [human], the many were constituted sinners: so also through the obedience of the one, shall the many be constituted righteous.

1 Corinthians 15:40-50

CLV 40 There are bodies celestial as well as bodies terrestrial. But a different glory, indeed, is that of the celestial, yet a different that of the terrestrial, 41 another glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars, for star is excelling star in glory.” 42 Thus also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is roused in incorruption. 43 It is sown in dishonor; it is roused in glory. It is sown in infirmity; it is roused in power. 44 It is sown a soulish body; it is roused a spiritual body. 45 If there is a soulish body, there is a spiritual also. Thus it is written also, The first man, Adam, “became a living soul:the last Adam a vivifying Spirit.” 46 But not first the spiritual, but the soulish, thereupon the spiritual.” 47 The first man [human] was out of the earth, soilish; the second Man [human] is the Lord out of heaven.” 48 Such as the soilish one is, such are those also who are soilish, and such as the Celestial One, such are those also who are celestials.” 49 And according as we wear the image of the soilish, we should be wearing the image also of the Celestial.” 50 Now this I am averring, brethren, that flesh and blood is not able to enjoy an allotment in the kingdom of God, neither is corruption enjoying the allotment of incorruption.”

Philippians 3:20-21

CLV 20 For our realm is inherent in the heavens, out of which we are awaiting a Savior also, the Lord, Jesus Christ, 21 Who will transfigure the body of our humiliation, to conform it to the body of His glory, in accord with the operation which enables Him even to subject all to Himself.”

Hebrews 3:13-19

LITV 13 But exhort yourselves each day, as long as it is being called today, that not any of you be hardened by the deceit of sin. 14 For we have become partakers of Christ, if truly we hold the beginning of the assurance firm to the end15 as in the saying, “Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts, as in the provocation.” LXX-Psa. 94:7, 8; MT-Psa. 95:7, 8 16 For hearing, some provoked Him, but not all those coming out of Egypt through Moses. 17 But with whom was He angry forty years? Was it not with the ones sinning, whose corpses fell in the wilderness? 18 And to whom did “He swear” ” they would not enter into His rest,” except to those not obeying? LXX-Psa. 94:11; MT-Psa. 95:11 19 And we see that they were not able to enter in because of unbelief.

The first century Hebrews were called to belief in order to avoid what happened to the un-beliefers of the first exodus. “today” is obviously not a 24-hour day. It was the completion day for original humanity. The the day of Adam that was put on hold in Hades was being consummated in Christ. The 40-year completion of the fulfillment exodus coincided with the fulfillment jubilee. The final sabbatism was at hand for the Hebrews. The end of their old covenant was near.

Hebrews 9:28

YLT 28 so also the Christ, once having been offered to bear the sins of many, a second time, apart from a sin-offering, shall appear, to those waiting for him—to salvation! [Only believers saw the Holy Spirit come at Pentecost. And we only have record of Jesus appearing to believers, post-resurrection.]

Hebrews 4:1-11

CLV 1 We may be afraid then, lest at some time, a promise being left of entering into His stopping [rest], anyone of you may be seeming to be deficient.” 2 For we also have been evangelized, even as those also. But the word heard does not benefit those hearers, not having been blended together with faith in those who hear.” 3 Then we who believe are entering into the stopping, according as He has declared, “As I swear in My indignation, ‘If they shall be entering into My stopping-! ‘although the works occur from the disruption of the world.” 4 For He has declared somewhere concerning the seventh thus: And God stops “on the seventh day from all His works.” 5 And in this again, “If they shall be entering into My stopping-!” 6 Since, then, it is left for some to be entering into it, and those to whom the evangel was formerly brought did not enter because of stubbornness, 7 He is again specifying a certain day, “Today”-saying in David after so much time, according as has been declared before, “Today, if ever His voice you should be hearing, You should not be hardening your hearts.” 8 For if Joshua causes them to stop, He would not have spoken concerning another day after these things.” 9 Consequently a sabbatism is left for the people of God10 For he who is entering into His stopping, he also stops from his works even as God from His own.” 11 We should be endeavoring, then, to be entering into that stopping, lest anyone should be falling into the same example of stubbornness.

The never-ending sabbatism; day of the Lord, was near. The promise of rest was two-fold. God swore in His wrath that the unbelievers would not enter His rest. The promise (the seal) of eternal life was given in the air to the belief-ing Jews at Pentecost. Jesus gave them His belief in the kingdom that was near. It was about to be fulfilled for believers in the air (the realm of the kingdom Jesus described) on the 8th day of Tabernacles. The types were seen as put to rest in the destruction of earthy Jerusalem. The glorification of the body was in the transition of the two overlapping covenants. The new remains. The old died it’s second death in God’s final old covenant wrath.

Eternal life is not lived out in a flesh and blood earthy body. It is kept incorruptible in a heavenly realm body. Eternal life is granted to us before we cast off our flesh and blood body. So in that sense, I do have the glorification to eternal life residing in my mortal body. what is more glorious than Holy Spirit residence in God’s temple. The new covenant has been glorified in heaven and on earth. My mortal body physically constrains me for now. We call the natural laws of this realm of creation physics. I don’t know what to call the supernatural laws of the spirit-realm creation. The angels are limited.

Romans 13:11-12

LITV 11 Also this, knowing the time, that it is now the hour for you to be aroused from sleep, for now our salvation is nearer than when we believed. 12 The night is far gone, and the day has drawn near; then let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the weapons of the light.

Paul was writing in the dark on the night before the last old covenant day dawned or Paul was referring to the dawning of the day of the Lord as in the millennial day of Adam fulfilled. Adam, and his day, I dare say, was a type of the never-ending day that was about to be.

Romans 5:14

CLV 14 nevertheless death reigns from Adam unto Moses, over those also who do not sin in the likeness of the transgression of Adam, who is a type of Him Who is about to be.”

Does death still reign even in the body of Christ? Death reigned in the body of Adam and Moses. Adam was expelled from God’s land and was put on hold by the Grace of God at 930 years of age, or the death would have reigned in his millennium to his eternal destruction, i.e., annihilation. Moses was put on hold by God at 120 years of age, before entering the typical promised land. Moses death was a judgement for his disobedience as alluded to by the flood judgement that came after 120 years of grace for humanity (Genesis 6:3). Did Moses stay in the old covenant or did he transition to the superabundant grace of the new covenant? Is God going to make a new covenant to rescue His people from their old covenant of death? Didn’t He do that already before the second death of the old covenant actually arrived? The glorified family of humanity presently lives forever and grants that life to all God’s people when they are born into the forever family. The inheritance of the firstborn is secure. He not only arrived to the eternal promised land alive, He brought His people into the fulfillment of His Jubilee.

The old covenant body wanted to keep glorying in the circumcision of the flesh body in the physical realm. Paul called them the mongrels of the maimcision. Paul no longer sought the glory of the old covenant body alongside the Christ rejectors. The true circumcision of the born-again body became a spirit realm reality. The new body was glorying in Christ who was in heaven. The new body realm of inheritance was being kept incorruptible in heaven, out of which the savior would come and destroy the old covenant body and fully transition to the new covenant body. He brought the gift of glory and the judgement to destruction in the AD 70 revelation. Jesus did not humble Himself in AD 70. He married His bride as the firstborn over all creation. The new covenant church body was called out of the Jews first and then out of all the nations.

Philippians 3:2,18-21

CLV 2 Beware of curs [mongrels], beware of evil workers. Beware of the maimcision, 3 for we are the circumcision who are offering divine service in the spirit of God, and are glorying in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in flesh.” 18 for many are walking, of whom I often told you, yet now am lamenting also as I tell it, who are enemies of the cross of Christ, 19 whose consummation is destruction, whose god is their bowels, and whose glory is in their shame, who to the terrestrial are disposed.” 20 For our realm is inherent in the heavens, out of which we are awaiting a Saviour also, the Lord, Jesus Christ, 21 Who will transfigure the body of our humiliation, to conform it to the body of His glory, in accord with the operation which enables Him even to subject all to Himself.”

Those who remained disposed to old covenant circumcision and land did not reform to the body of His glory before the end, whose consummation was destruction. Typical destruction was seen in terrestrial Jerusalem. The believing Hebrews (and their new covenant converts from the nations) were being humiliated by the body of unbelievers. The Hebrews of Hebrews chapter 12 had their eyes on the more glorious Jerusalem, coming down from the realm of Heaven.

Hebrews 12:22-29

CLV 22 But you have come to mount Zion, and the city of the living God, celestial Jerusalem, and to ten thousand messengers, 23 to a universal convocation, and to the ecclesia of the firstborn, registered in the heavens, and to God, the Judge of all, and to the spirits of the just perfected, 24 and to Jesus, the Mediator of a fresh covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling which is speaking better than Abel.” 25 Beware! You should not be refusing Him Who is speaking! For if those escaped not, refusing the One apprizing on earth, much rather we, who are turning from the One from the heavens, 26 Whose voice then shakes the earth. Yet now He has promised, saying, Still once more shall I be quaking, not only the earth, but heaven also.” 27 Now the “Still once more is making evident the transference of that which is being shaken, as of that having been made, that what is not being shaken would be remaining.” 28 Wherefore, accepting an unshakable kingdom, we may have grace through which we may be offering divine service in a way well pleasing to God, with piety and dread, 29 for our God is also a consuming fire.

Heaven and earth were being shaken to shake out the bad. Who were they who were about to inherit salvation if not the glorified Hebrews? The body of Christ has more glory than the body of Adam or the body of Moses did.

Hebrews 1:10-14

CLV 10 And, Thou, originally, Lord, dost found the earth, And the heavens are the works of Thy hands.” 11 They shall perish, yet Thou art continuing, And all, as a cloak, shall be aged, 12 And, as if clothing, wilt Thou be rolling them up. As a cloak also shall they change. Yet Thou art the same, And Thy years shall not be defaulting.” 13 Now to which of the messengers has He declared at any time, “Sit at My right, till I should be placing Thine enemies for a footstool for Thy feet”? 14 Are they not all ministering spirits commissioned for service because of those who are about to be enjoying the allotment of salvation?

New covenant bodies are granted by the Holy Spirit. New old covenant bodies were born in the flesh mode after the marriage. After Jesus’ resurrection, the Holy Spirit realm church body was being formed, for their corporate marriage to new firstborn. Pentecost was a firstfruit continuation of Jesus’ resurrection event. After Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to His chosen Jews, Peter preached his first new covenant sermon and the Holy Spirit added 3000 more born again bodies to the forming church. The church was being born again.

Matthew 22:30

CLV 30 For in the resurrection neither are they marrying nor taking in marriage, but are as messengers of God in heaven.”

God didn’t have to get married before He made angel bodies in the spirit realm of heaven. Marriage for making church members is old covenant style on earth. New covenant bodies are made in the Spirit realm, where the angels were created. That spirit realm life can be added to the earth-born body before it dies. Marriage is still desirable to make earth bound bodies. Marriage is still the best humanizing precursor to born again bodies. Circumcision was a symbol of what would be the new creation mode of procreation: not in the flesh. As glorious as the old covenant temple was, the surpassing glorification was when the Holy Spirit of God took residence.

1 Corinthians 6:18-20

CLV 18 Flee from prostitution. The penalty of every sin, whatsoever a man [humanity] should be doing, is outside of the body, yet he who is committing prostitution is sinning against his own body.” 19 Or are you not aware that your body is a temple of the holy spirit in you, which you have from God, and you are not your own? 20 For you are bought with a price. By all means glorify God in your body.
