Eschaton Adam forgave Adam’s debts. Adam was made for immortality. He knowingly chose mortality in the day he ate of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. He was warned not to die on that tree but he did it anyway. Knowing right and choosing wrong was the death of Adam. So, Adam was put to repose at 930 years of age lest he live to his millennial age and die dead. The first death of Adam was when he knowingly disobeyed God. Adam’s death of no return was on schedule. Whether he completed his age still in denial or not, Adam couldn’t and didn’t make things right with God the day he ate. He made all his relationships worse that day. Adam conscientiously projected his own failure onto God and Eve. He was now on schedule to fulfill his millennium spiritually dead. Adam was graciously put to repose 70 years short of his thousand years.

Eschatos Adam was born late into the old covenant to take Adam’s place before the national Jubilee arrived. Jesus died as obedient old covenant Adam, so Adam and everyone else who was previously put to repose in their disobedience could arrive alive to fulfill the age of 1000 in God’s remedial covenant creation, with eyes open to the good conscience in Christ rather than in the continued denial of disobedience in Adam. Living to the age in the new rather than dying to the age in the old was the one and only final grace option. Immortality was back on the table. Denial of guilt in Adam gave way to a proper conscientiousness by the Holy Spirit of Christ, for every born again Jew.

The Pharisees famously continued in the old covenant in the spirit of fallen Adam in denial or like his son Cain, in envy. They blamed everyone except themselves. They even killed those whom God now accepted by way of His only begotten Son. They were the legalistic police who were willing to break the law and murder their own brethren in an attempt to get their own way. Jesus, who was illegally crucified at the insistence of the religious status quo in Jerusalem, famously said, “Father forgive them they don’t know what they are doing”, not yet anyway. Jesus did’t even blame them for projecting their guilt onto Him. At least not during His final old covenant appearance. He didn’t come to judge His people in the old covenant. He came to offer His own old covenant life to cancel their old covenant debts. He eventually came to judge in His new covenant.

The final grace period wouldn’t last forever. Jesus would return to judge and destroy the hypocrites who insisted on old covenant law keeping for everyone but themselves. Publicly the Pharisees acted as if they were the only ones keeping the law. Jesus offered them immortality by way of His new covenant completion of their old age. In the mean time, it was made clear to the Jews what they had actually done in their typical land under law. Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to Jerusalem to open their eyes to their guilt and to their forgiveness. Even if they didn’t have it in their heart to forgive, Jesus was willing to put His spirit of forgiveness into their hearts. At Pentecost, Peter didn’t say, “forgive them they don’t know”. The Holy Spirit inspired Peter to inform them of their recent crime. He opened their eyes to their guilt and they asked to be saved from their guilt under old covenant law. Evidently they took part in the mob-jury trial.

Acts 2:36-38

YLT 36 assuredly, therefore, let all the house of Israel know, that both Lord and Christ did God make him—this Jesus whom ye did crucify.’ 37 And having heard, they were pricked to the heart; they say also to Peter, and to the rest of the apostles, `What shall we do, men, brethren?’ 38 and Peter said unto them, `Reform, and be baptized each of you on the name of Jesus Christ, to remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit,

The Holy Spirit speaking through Peter didn’t blame Rome or Pilate. The Holy Spirit opened old covenant Jewish eyes to the new covenant truth. It was for their own good. The truth of their condemnation set them free from guilt in denial. By way of the Holy Spirit they were persuaded by the spoken new covenant truth. It opened their eyes to their need of salvation. They had done the worst thing ever done. They murdered the only completely innocent man that ever lived.

Jesus as the King was not only willing to forgive all their debts, He also postponed the final old covenant reckoning for 33 years. The following scenario is about a forgiven sin that was then unforgiven. In the following old covenant parable the king revoked his forgiveness. Jesus asked for forgiveness for everyone while He was on the old covenant cross. Even forgiveness for His murderers. However, blaspheme of that spirit of Jesus required repayment under law after all. The forgiven debtor blasphemed the spirit of the king by which his forgiveness of debts was initially procured. He tasted the goodness of the king’s spirit and then insulted it. The newly forgiven man immediately refused to offer the same spirit of forgiveness toward his brother, who was in the same boat that he was. The man who received the king’s spirit of grace violently acted against his king’s character. He projected the great guilt he had been forgiven for onto his own servant. He failed to project his forgiven status and thus his forgiveness was revoked, by the same king who gave it. The forgiven man immediately projected hate for his brother who was in need of the same forgiveness. Jesus was most angry with the hateful hypocrites who acted like they didn’t need forgiven after all. They misrepresented themselves and the spirit of the King. The old covenant hold outs demanded law keeping accountability until the end of the old covenant, which by the way was the fulfillment of their second 490 years of failure to keep the law. They denied the Holy Spirit sent by the King in His absence. They actually chased everyone out who had His Holy Spirit of forgiveness. In the end it wasn’t in their hearts to forgive their born again brothers. Their offer of forgiveness was revoked by †he King in AD 70. Their grace period actually extended 33 years beyond the second 490 year countdown to accountability under law.

Matthew 18:21-35

YLT 21 Then Peter having come near to him, said, `Sir, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him—till seven times?’ 22 Jesus saith to him, `I do not say to thee till seven times, but till seventy times seven. 23 `Because of this was the reign of the heavens likened to a man, a king, who did will to take reckoning with his servants, 24 and he having begun to take account, there was brought near to him one debtor of a myriad of talents, [he owed a lot] 25 and he having nothing to pay, his lord did command him to be sold, and his wife, and the children, and all, whatever he had, and payment to be made. 26 The servant then, having fallen down, was bowing to him, saying, Sir, have patience with me, and I will pay thee all; 27 and the lord of that servant having been moved with compassion did release him, and the debt he forgave him.28 `And, that servant having come forth, found one of his fellow-servants who was owing him an hundred denarius [he owed a little], and having laid hold, he took him by the throat, saying, Pay me that which thou owest. 29 His fellow-servant then, having fallen down at his feet, was calling on him, saying, Have patience with me, and I will pay thee all; 30 and he would not [forgive him], but having gone away, he cast him into prison, till he might pay that which was owing. 31 `And his fellow-servants having seen the things that were done, were grieved exceedingly, and having come, shewed fully to their lord all the things that were done; 32 then having called him, his lord saith to him, Evil servant! all that debt I did forgive thee, seeing thou didst call upon me, 33 did it not behove also thee to have dealt kindly with thy fellow-servant, as I also dealt kindly with thee? 34 `And having been wroth, his lord delivered him to the inquisitors, till he might pay all that was owing to him; 35 so also my heavenly Father will do to you, if ye may not forgive each one his brother from your hearts their trespasses.’

Have you ever been kind to someone and then regretted it because they in turn were hateful to brothers in the same condition? For a modern day perspective, the first debtor was forgiven millions of dollars by the king. He wouldn’t forgive his fellow servant who was indebted to him for thousands of dollars. That is very insulting to the spirit of the King.

The Hebrews were the first to share the Holy Spirit sent from heaven by the King. They Hebrews ministered to others by way of that Spirit. The old covenant hold outs were obviously the ones who were rejecting the Spirit of the King.

Hebrews 6:4-12

LITV 4 For it is impossible for those being once enlightened, and having tasted of the heavenly gift, and becoming sharers of the Holy Spirit, 5 and tasting the good Word of God, and the works of power of a coming age, 6 then falling away, it is impossible for them again to renew to repentance, crucifying again for themselves the Son of God, and putting Him to open shame. 7 (For the earth drinking in the rain often coming upon it, and producing plants fit for those for whom it is also worked, receives blessing from God; 8 “but bearing thorns and thistles,” it is deemed unfit and near a curse, of which the end is for burning.) Gen. 3:17, 18 9 But, loved ones, even if we indeed speak so, we have been persuaded better things concerning you, even holding fast salvation. 10 For God is not unjust, to forget your work and the labor of love which you showed to His name, ministering to the saints, and now are ministering11 But we desire each of you to show the same eagerness, to the full assurance of the hope to the end; 12 that you not become dull, but imitators of those who through faith and longsuffering are inheriting the promises.

All God’s chosen ones inherited the new covenant forgiveness of the King before their typical millennial jubilee arrived. Old covenant death in unforgiven debt is no more. New covenant death doesn’t even exist. The new covenant resurrection of God’s only begotten Son saved all His chosen people from their second old covenant death that was pending. Jesus joined the Jews in their first old covenant death. It was impossible for Him to die the impending (second) old covenant death. He could only join the dead ones in their unresolved first death. The resolution arrived in AD 70, either in Jesus or in Adam. The place of Adam’s repose that couldn’t hold Jesus was discontinued after their second old covenant death. Death and Hades were both thrown into the lake of fire. Neither one is part of the new covenant creation. Destruction in the lake of fire is the second death.

People today must be reborn before they die or they will perish. Unlike Jesus or Adam (old covenant people), we don’t go to wait in Hades when we die. We are all born spiritually dead and destined to die that way, so we must be born again before we die dead and perish. Biological death of the flesh cant be stopped. death to our flesh is inevitable. Holy Spirit birth into the new covenant is the only way to avoid dying spiritually dead and perishing.

Both new covenant life to the age and old covenant death to the age were made permanent. Nobody born into the family of God is required to live to the age of 1000 or perish. Now we must be born from above into the eternal family of God or perish. The new covenant family of God already fulfilled Adam’s and Israel’s millennial age alive. God’s family reigned in the age in the Christ and became immortal over 2000 years ago. Jesus is not able to die a second old covenant death in order to rescue the old covenant hold-outs from their second old covenant death. Second old covenant death is permanent. Only people in the first old covenant death could be graciously put on hold until they were rescued from their second death. Covenant death no longer exists today. People who are born again today are not being rescued from old covenant death. They are being rescued from dying dead and perishing, but the transition from the old covenant to the new covenant is over. People in the new covenant don’t spiritually die.

Romans 8:16

LITV 16 The Spirit Himself witnesses with our spirit that we are children of God.

A person without God’s Holy Spirit rebirth are just “flesh”. They do not have spiritual eyes or ears to see or hear. They cannot comprehend the message Jesus taught to the old covenant teacher of the Jews. The Lord explained this to Nicodemus, “That which is born of the flesh is flesh and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit” (John 3:6). The only way for the Jews to arrive to the age alive was by the Holy Spirit rebirth. Biological life is not eternal life. The Holy Spirit that gives life is likened to the wind that blows wherever it wishes (John 3:8). The Holy Spirit must blow upon spiritually dead people or they remain spiritually dead to God. Otherwise they die dead and perish. Only during the old covenant era did people die dead and not perish. The first thing Jesus did was go to Hades to proclaim victory to old covenant people who had died in the flesh. They were waiting for Him in Hades. It was the third day after His old covenant death when He proclaimed victory to His people still in the old covenant flesh body. 50 days later His chosen people were no longer in the flesh. They were born from above when Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to the upper room in Jerusalem. Jesus chosen ones didn’t go to Hades to wait for the gift of spiritual life. They went to Jerusalem. They did not perish in their old covenant. They arrived to the age alive in their promised new covenant. Holy Spirit rebirth is still the only way to enter their new covenant. What is flesh is flesh…

Acts 1:12-16

LITV 12 Then they returned to Jerusalem from the mount being called Of Olive Grove, which is near Jerusalem, a sabbath’s journey away. 13 And when they went in, they went up to the upper room where they were waiting: both Peter and James, and John and Andrew, Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew, James the son of Alpheus and Simon the Zealot, and Judas the brother of James. 14 These all were continuing steadfastly in prayer and in supplication with one mind, with the women, and with Mary the mother of Jesus, and with His brothers. 15 And in these days, standing up in the middle of the disciples, (and the number of names together being about a hundred and twenty), Peter said, 16 Men, brothers, it was necessary for this Scripture to be fulfilled which the Holy Spirit spoke before by David’s mouth concerning Judas, the one having become guide to those seizing Jesus;

John 3:16

CLV 16 For thus God loves the world, so that He gives His only-begotten Son, that everyone who is believing in Him should not be perishing, but may be having life eonian [life to the age or age-enduring life].”

Exodus 12:14

LITV 14 And the [Passover] day shall be a memorial for you. And you shall celebrate it as a feast to Jehovah, for your generations. You shall celebrate it as a law forever.

Are God’s chosen people still keeping the feast of Passover today? Is forever over? Is forever a bad translation? Keeping the Passover means every house must sacrifice a lamb once a year on Nisan 14th and then put the blood on the doorpost of your house and it must be done in old covenant Israel – forever. No God’s people were not required to keep the Passover celebration forever. Jesus came to fulfill their old covenant Passover before the old age ended. That is what God’s chosen people celebrate forever. Passover to the age was only kept by Jesus. Just as He really sent the Holy Spirit to breath on the Jews on the day of Pentecost not the day of First Fruit, He really was the Passover Lamb on the cross. That’s the whole point of the Lord’s proleptic last supper with the chosen Jews. The Jews who tried to stay in the land and keep the typical Passover forever were not passed over in AD 70. They perished at the fulfillment of the types. The types could not take the Jews to the age without perishing. The phrase, “to the age” is not synonymous with “forever”. The Passover was to the age. The Jews who rejected the final Passover sacrifice were not passed over by the angel of final death.

Exodus 12:14

YLT 14 `And this day hath become to you a memorial, and ye have kept it a feast to Jehovah to your generations; —a statute age-during; ye keep it a feast.

Exodus 12:14

CLV 14 Hence this day will become for you a memorial day, and you will celebrate it as a celebration to Yahweh. Throughout your generations shall you celebrate it as an eonian statute.

If you are sacrificing a lamb every year on Nisan 14th because the bad translations say you must do it for your family forever, then you are acting like the final Passover Lamb did not come to save His chosen people. Jesus died on the cross in order to forgive His old covenant brethren. There was no Jewish new covenant when He died. He died to start it for them. Everyone born again into the new covenant now has access to forgiveness, not just old covenant Jews in the land. In fact there are no old covenant Jews on earth or in heaven. It is impossible to be an old covenant Jew today or tomorrow or any day in the future. The old covenant was not forever. It was to the age or for the age. The old covenant ended in AD 70. The world knows that. Only new covenant Jews were saved from perishing to the age. That is what Jesus explained to the teacher of the Jews in John chapter 3. The Jews had to be born again or perish. The final Passover Lamb secured new covenant birth for His chosen people. Jesus lost none of His chosen Jews, except Judas who was never His.
