The Cross Bought A 33 1/2 Year Delay

Had Jesus lived to 37 in His old covenant, He alone would have arrived to the age alive. At 33 1/2 years of age, Jesus moved His humanity into His new covenant creation. At 33 1/2 years old, His old covenant death interrupted His last week of the second 490 years, in the middle of the 70th week, just as Gabriel told Daniel it would happen. But their old covenant death could not keep Jesus in repose. On the third day He overcame their old covenant death. He rose out of Hades and continued His Jewish counting in their reformation covenant. 50 days into His new covenant, He sent the Holy Spirit to upper-room Jerusalem, so His chosen people could join Him in His reformation of the nation. Jesus granted the Jews His old covenant faithfulness under law, by way of His new covenant resurrection. The new Holy Spirit creation was not ex nihilo. It was the reformation of Jesus’ old covenant humanity.

Face to face is how Adam was introduced to God and received His image. Jesus reenacted that scene on day one of His new creation. He breathed on His chosen Jews and told them to get the Holy Spirit. His new covenant reformation save the Jews by delaying their arrival until He reformed them in His image. He reformed the Jews in their new covenant dispensation of life. For 37 years the dispensation of death was put on hold to make time for their new covenant reformation. After 33 1/2 new covenant years the second half of the 70th week was resumed with the born again Jews and their proselytes, so they could all arrive alive together with their savior. Only then did the last old covenant week under law resume counting. The last 3 1/2 years in typical Jerusalem resumed with destruction to the age. The dispensation of death ended in AD 70. The dispensation of life is now eternal.

2 Corinthians 3:6-11

CLV 6 Who also makes us [born again Jews] competent dispensers of a new covenant, not of the letter, but of the spirit, for the letter is killing, yet the spirit is vivifying.” 7 (Now if the dispensation of death, by letters chiseled in stone, came in glory, so that the sons of Israel were not able to look intently into the face of Moses, because of the glory of his face, which was being nullified, 8 how shall not rather the dispensation of the spirit be in glory? 9 For if in the dispensation of condemnation is glory, much rather the dispensation of righteousness is exceeding in glory.” 10 For that also which has been glorified has not been glorified in this particular, on account of the glory transcendent.” 11 For if that which is being nullified was nullified through glory, much rather that which is remaining, remains in glory.

Ephesians 4:22-24

CLV 22 to put off from you, as regards your former behavior, the old humanity which is corrupted in accord with its seductive desires, 23 yet to be rejuvenated in the spirit of your mind24 and to put on the new humanity which, in accord with God, is being created in righteousness and benignity of the truth.”

Jesus put their old covenant judgement (arrival to their second death) on hold in the middle of their final week of years under law. He cut a new covenant with His old covenant body. The old covenant Jews were put on pause while the Messiah reigned in 37 new covenant years with His born again Jewish people. Their old covenant judgement was put to repose just 3 1/2 years short of 37 covenant years. In the middle of the last week of years, Jesus saved His people from dying dead at their 1000-year Jubilee. After rebirth, the new human body lived to 37 first. The old covenant death of the Messiah caused a reformation delay that lasted 37 new covenant years. The second half of the last old covenant week was put on hold while Jesus did His messianic work. He saved His people from their millennial death 3 1/2 years before it was typically scheduled to arrive. The age was put on pause while He reformed the born again Jews in His image. As the firstborn of the reborn, Jesus became the head of reformed humanity.

Romans 8:29

CLV 29 that, whom He foreknew, He designates beforehand, also, to be conformed to the image of His Son, for Him to be Firstborn among many brethren.”

The resumption of that final work week still under law came after 37 new covenant years were completed. The second half of the 70th week under law would usher in their final old covenant Jubilee, still in debt, still under law, still in the old covenant body of the old first born of humanity. Adam was also graciously put to repose so he wouldn’t die dead at 1000. He lacked 70 years of completing his day covenantally dead. Jesus fulfillment of Adam’s 70 years started at His first birth into the old covenant as eschaton Adam and continued through His rebirth into the new covenant as the new husbandman. Jesus completed Adam’s day in His Day, for His new covenant people, before the old man’s day resumed counting the final 3 1/2 years under law. A typical sabbatical year took 6 months from the old Noahic calendar and continued for 6 months into the new Mosaic calendar. Carrying the old calendar into the new creation calendar was nothing new for the Jew. Pausing the thousand year judgement in Adam was also a recurring pattern.

By the faithfulness of Jesus the final sabbatism remained open for the born again Hebrews to enter into, by way of their new creation calendar. They started counting over in their new covenant. With Jesus’ own body, He put their last old covenant week of years on pause, in the middle of His last old covenant week as eschaton Adam. With His whole self He cut a new covenant for His chosen people. Jesus’ humanity saved all of His people. The final old covenant sabbatism under law was put on hold when Jesus took their place on the tree. That is why a sabbatism remained for the Hebrews to enter – Hebrews 4:9. Their last 3 1/2 years under law was paused while they were afforded 37 grace years to enter into His sabbatism by way of His Holy Spirit rebirth.

God counted to 37 years in His new covenant before the typical consummation resumed counting where it had left off. His people’s place on the tree was in the old covenant death in Adam. Had Jesus continued to live in the land to the age of 37 as eschaton Adam, He alone would have ruled in their final old covenant sabbatical alive. Instead, Jesus fulfilled Adam’s millennium in His new covenant body, when His humanity turned 70 years of age. He spent more of that 70 years in the new covenant than in the old. All of His covenant years counted as 70 good years, whether old or new covenant, however, He arrived to 37 years of humanity in the new before the old resumed without Him. In the first old covenant count to 490, God’s people arrived at 490 sabbath breaking years before they arrived at 490 sabbath keeping years. Jesus turned that around as the new firstborn. He paused the old calendar for a new covenant recount, until He arrived to the age alive, with His chosen people.

Hebrews 10:14

LITV 14 For by one offering He has perfected [telosed, shalamed, matured, completed, finished] in perpetuity the ones being sanctified.

The born again Jews lived to the age of 1000 with Jesus. The arrived to perpetuity alive. They lived for 37 years in the new covenant, as the reborn body of Christ, before the old covenant hold-outs were held accountable for their second 490 sabbatical breaking years, because Jesus overcame their covenant death on the tree, at His old covenant age of 33, so they could arrive alive with Him, at His new covenant age of 37. Jesus died at 33 rather than live to 37, so His born again Jewish body could complete their last week of years in His new covenant rebirth, in His new covenant body of humanity. The new covenant was telosed before the old covenant body of humanity resumed the last 3 1/2 years of the last typical week of years, as prophesied to Daniel.

Jesus completed 37 years in the new, not the old. He left the old hanging in the flesh at 33 years of age. After 33 new years, the last week of years continued for believers only. After 37 years were telosed in the new covenant, the typical unbelievers resumed the last 3 1/2 years of their typical old covenant count in the flesh, still under law. For 3 1/2 years the Romans (the law) destroyed the typical city of Jerusalem for their insurrection. Either way (His way or their way), Jesus permanently put the typical old covenant to rest. The unbelievers arrived to perpetuity covenantally dead. The two covenant choices were: either live to the age in the new firstborn or perish to the age under the law of the old firstborn. Hebrews was written to the born again Hebrew nation, formerly in the flesh and blood diaspora. The Hebrews who were no longer in the flesh were being united in the new covenant body of Christ, by way of the Holy Spirit He sent to them in Jerusalem. While the Hebrews were celebrating their flesh birth as a nation, they were born again by Holy Spirit birth.

Hebrews 4:9-11

CLV 9 Consequently a sabbatism is left for the [born again] people of God. 10 For he who is entering into His stopping, he also stops from his works even as God from His own.” 11 We [Hebrews] should be endeavoring, then, to be entering into that stopping, lest anyone [of us Hebrews] should be falling into the same example of stubbornness. [as their old covenant fathers did on the way to their typical land]”

The 40 year regeneration of the Jews included the 3 1/2 years that Jesus shared the work of the Holy Spirit with them while He was still in their old covenant. 3 1/2 old covenant Holy Spirit years + 36 1/2 new covenant Holy Spirit years = 40 years of Jewish reformation. They arrived to the promises alive.

Jesus was raised under the Hebrew law of the land. The tree of the knowledge of good and evil (fully revealed by the Hebrew law) opened the eyes of everyone else in the land to their impending death, whether they lived in denial or not. Adam’s denial of guilt did not save him from dying that day. God saved Adam from dying dead at 1000 years of age by putting his millennial judgment temporarily in time-out. Adam was put to repose at 930 years of age. Adam did not enter God’s sabbath rest with God in the garden. As the antitypical Adam about to be, Jesus saved all His chosen people, by putting their millennial fulfillment in one last time-out, in the middle of their last week of typical years. The final 3 1/2 years was put on hold for decades not millennia.

The final Jubilee that was about to be was their thousand year sabbatical. Jesus died 3 1/2 years before that millennial Jubilee was typically scheduled to arrive. The last 3 1/2 years of the old covenant were put on hold for 37 new creation years. Jesus lived for 37 years in the new covenant in order to bring salvation to His typical people. He only lived for 33 years in the old. All 70 years of Jesus’ covenant life telosed Adam’s day into His Way. In AD 66 1/2 the unfaithful Jews continued to reign in the last half of the week of types, but they weren’t allowed to resume counting until after all God’s chosen people were saved by way of their reformation count, in their new covenant rebirth.

Romans 5:14

CLV 14 nevertheless [the] death reigns from Adam unto Moses, over those also who do not sin in the likeness of the transgression of Adam, who is a type of Him Who is about to be.”

Romans 5:20-21

20 Moreover the the torah entered surreptitiously, so that the downfall superabound. [No generation could ever fall further than the first century generation of old covenant land dwellers did. The old covenant unbelievers ended with the worst possible behaviors. Not only the murder of their Messiah but the murder of His bride. Then for their final insurrection they actually ate each other in the flesh before they were destroyed by the Romans.] But where sin superabounded, grace did much more abound: 21 That even as [the] sin reigns in the [the] death, so also the grace reigns through justness unto age-long life through Yeshua Messiah our Lord.

The sin was reigning in the death everyone except Jesus, until He died in the middle of the last week of years. He died at just the right time to save His chosen people from reigning in their millennial death. Grace reigned to the age by way of the Holy Spirit sent to the upper room in Jerusalem.

Romans 8:13

YLT 13 for if according to the flesh ye do live, ye are about to die; and if, by the Spirit, the deeds of the body ye put to death, ye shall live;

The Judaizers were still preaching law justification in the flesh until their typical millennium was fulfilled. Nobody today can actually put themselves back under the law of the land by falling for the old covenant Judaizers. Joining the Judaizers (as pictured by being circumcised) will not make you an old covenant proselyte today. There is no such thing as a Jew under law today. The final millennial jubilee has already been fulfilled: both in the new and in the old covenants. Nobody today can choose the old covenant fulfillment in the death rather than the new creation fulfillment in the life of Christ. That era is over.

Galatians 5:4

CLV 4 Exempted from Christ were you who are being justified in law. You fall out of grace.

Being temporarily put to repose was a familiar motif to the Jews. Before the Messiah, every Jew who died was temporarily put to repose with Adam. Adam was a type of the new covenant first born. Jesus obediently fulfilled all the types, even typical Adam – Romans 5:14. The open eyes of Jesus under law would have completed Adam’s and Israel’s day without blame, had He lived just 3 1/2 more years in the old covenant land. But that was not God’s plan. By God’s grace Jesus obediently enacted one more very short but essential delay. Ironically, God delayed their impending judgement when they murdered their Messiah on a cross. He forestalled their judgement in the middle of His last old covenant week. The murder of God’s Son at 33 1/2 years of age put their typical 490-year countdown to repose, for 36 1/2 of His new covenant years, so God’s chosen people would all reach their millennial fulfillment in their Messiah before the law came down on them. It was the most gracious fulfillment of the types imaginable. The Jewish Messiah recounted His old covenant years with His new covenant body, no longer in the flesh. It was a Holy Spirit reformation. The Jews were being circumcised in their heart by the Holy Spirit sent from above. Only after their new covenant sanctification was completed was the last week of old covenant years resumed.

Matthew 24:22

CLV 22 And, except those days were discounted, no flesh at all would be saved. Yet, because of the chosen, those days shall be discounted.”

The days of tribulation coming from the flesh covenant people were the discounted days. After 3 1/2 years of old covenant rejection, Jesus stopped His old covenant counting. The Jews were not being typically held accountable under law. The last week of the 490 years was abruptly stopped in the middle. The typical days of old covenant counting were temporarily docked by Jesus on the cross in Jerusalem. During the delay, those still in the flesh, (the old covenant Jews) were still trying to eliminate body of Christ, which became the new covenant body of Jews born again on Pentecost. During God’s gracious delay of their impending judgement under Torah, all the chosen ones were born again and reformed into God’s image by the breath of His Son sent by Him from heaven to upper room Jerusalem.

Paul’s salvation was not being threatened by these tribulations. Paul was being saved by way of God’s gracious pause in the final 3.5 years of typical counting. It gave Paul time to be reformed. Had Jesus not docked the final days of Adam by taking his place on the tree, no flesh at all would have been saved out of the old covenant law mode. Everyone in the flesh and blood covenant would have arrived to the age unreformed and unsaved. Nobody from the flesh covenant would have been rescued had Jesus lived just 3 1/2 more years in His old covenant land under law accounting. Jesus alone would have arrived alive under law at 37 years of age. He didn’t need saved out from the flesh covenant. Everyone else did. He was the only rich relative who could save them before their final Jubilee arrived. He gave up His richly blessed old covenant life that would have arrived alive, in order to save His people from their impending law judgement. He gave all He had. He gave them God’s grace. He delayed the age of accountability until they were reformed in the image of the new firstborn.

1 Corinthians 15:49

CLV 49 And according as we wear the image of the soilish [old covenant firstborn] , we should be wearing the image also of the Celestial [new covenant firstborn].”

Jewish Paul of course wrote to inform the Jewish proselytes too. True Jews were also among the born again Gentiles. Only born again people are considered true Jews by the Bible. Whatever creation the Gentiles were in before joining the born again body of Jews, there is only one born again body of Christ: Jew and Gentile alike.

Romans 2:28-29 New Living Translation

28 For you are not a true Jew just because you were born of Jewish parents or because you have gone through the ceremony of circumcision. 29 No, a true Jew is one whose heart is right with God. And true circumcision is not merely obeying the letter of the law; rather, it is a change of heart produced by the Spirit. And a person with a changed heart seeks praise from God, not from people.

Christ eternally belongs to the spirit realm of divine existence (Philippians 2:6). He joined the human (Adamic, earthy, soilish, soulish) sphere when He came down from heaven and assumed another mode of existence (Philippians 2:7), which concealed his spirit realm being. Christ refused to use His eternal heavenly place for His own advantage, contrasting His humility with the presumptuous aspirations of Adam and Eve, who wanted to enjoy illegitimate equality with God and become “like God” (Genesis 3:5-6). The old covenant hold outs claimed they could be like God under law, but they couldn’t. Under law the image of God was fully formed in Jewish Jesus only. Only Jesus could learn right and wrong under law and still arrive to the old covenant age of accountability alive. At 30 years of age the Holy Spirit remained on Him alone. 3 1/2 years later He died to enact a Jewish reformation by way of the gift of the Holy Spirit.

The Jewish scoffers still in their flesh covenant noticed God’s decades of delay. Reminiscent of Satan, they questioned God’s Word. The questioning was designed to raise doubts concerning God’s covenant promises. Didn’t God say He would bless us or condemn us by now? God’s gracious delay in judgement that was designed to make room for the new covenant reformation, was being used to tempt the blessed Jews to return to old covenant law and be condemned with the scoffers in AD 70.

2 Peter 3:3-9

CLV 3 knowing this first, that in the last days scoffers will be coming with scoffing, going according to their own desires” 4 and saying, “Where is the promise of His presence? For since the fathers were put to repose [The fathers of these scoffing Jews joined Adam on hold in Hades], all is continuing thus from the beginning of creation.” 5 For they want to be oblivious of this, that there were heavens of old, and an earth [this is not the first time heavens and earth were being renewed] cohering out of water and through water, by the word of God;” 6 through which the then world, being deluged by water, perished.” 7 Yet the heavens now, and the earth, by the same word, are stored with fire, being kept for the day of the judging and destruction of irreverent men [rebirth vs. destruction of the irreverent old covenant humanity were both essentially in the spirit realm].” 8 Now of this one thing you are not to be oblivious, beloved [Peter wrote to the beloved diaspora], that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years and a thousand years as one day.” 9 The Lord is not tardy as to the promise, as some are deeming tardiness, but is patient because of you, not intending any to perish, but all to make room for repentance.”

The reason for the decades of delay was to give God’s people time to reform. God didn’t want anybody to perish at their typical age of fulfillment. Rebirth by grace or destruction by law were the only two choices being offered to the old covenant Jews. The second option was graciously delayed. Claiming to keep the law in the flesh was still very much on the table. That is the choice the unrepentant Jews finally took. AD 70 revealed how unsuccessful that choice was.

μετάνοια
metanoia
met-an’-oy-ah
From G3340; (subjectively) compunction (for guilt, including reformation); by implication reversal (of [another’s] decision)

KJV Usage: repentance.

Daniel’s Prayer for himself and his people was after the first 490 years of sabbath failures in the land, which resulted in an expulsion that lasted just 70 years. God gave the land His sabbath rest for 70 years. Jesus’ 70 covenant years would save His chosen people from their second death. He was born in the old and put to death in the place of Adam only to be reborn as the new covenant firstborn. For the sake of His people, not for Himself, He was cut off from the old covenant at 33 years of age. After 33 years of new covenant reformation, the final 3 1/2 years resumed, to telos the second half of the last week of years in the new covenant first. The whole body of Christ arrived alive at 37 years of new covenant age. Then the typical destruction ensued under law. Their second old covenant death meant no more typical time-outs.

The new covenant never dies. Daniel’s prayer addressed the first old covenant death of the Jews. A new generation of Jews would begin to enter the land again after 70 years of death in the wilderness. God provided His 70 years of sabbath rest for the first 490 years of land failure. Their first regeneration took 40 years of death in the wilderness. Just as that 40 year typical regeneration eventually failed, so would the second 70 year regeneration in the wilderness fail. After 486 1/2 years of failing to recount sabbaticals in the typical land again, the last week of that reformation in the flesh was paused. During the 36 1/2 years of delay, the born again Jews were given their never ending covenant, before the end of their old covenant in the flesh was allowed to arrive. The end of the old covenant was of course DOA.

Daniel 9:13 – Daniel prayed for His people after the first 490 years of failure un-landed them DOA

LITV 13 As it is written in the law of Moses, all this evil has come on us. Yet we did not make our prayer before Jehovah our God that we might turn from our perversities and understand Your truth.

Daniel 9:16

LITV 16 O Lord, I pray to You, according to all Your righteousness, let Your anger and Your fury be turned away from Your city Jerusalem, Your holy mountain. For because of our sins and of our fathers’ iniquities, Jerusalem and Your people have become a reproach to all those around us.

Daniel’s answer to his prayer:

Daniel 9:24-27

LITV 24 Seventy weeks [490 years] are decreed as to your people, and as to your holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make atonement for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the Most Holy. 25 Know, then, and understand that from the going out of a word to restore and to rebuild Jerusalem, to Messiah the Prince, shall be seven weeks and sixty two weeks [Jesus’ old covenant ministry started at the beginning of their 70th week]. The street shall be built again, and the wall, even in times of affliction. 26 And after sixty two weeks [in the middle of their 70th week], Messiah shall be cut off, but not for Himself. And the people of a coming prince shall destroy the city and the sanctuary. And its end shall be with the flood, and ruins are determined, and war shall be until the end. 27 And He shall confirm a covenant with the many for one week. And in the middle of the week He shall cause the sacrifice and the offering to cease [the old covenant was put on pause mid-week. When typical counting resumed is when the temple sacrifices ceased, mid-week. The old covenant was placed in time-out for 37 new covenant years]. And on a wing of the altar will be abominations that desolate, even until the end. And that which was decreed shall pour out on the desolator.

The mid-week cessation of sacrifice was due to Jesus’ death on the cross. The gracious delay between His death and the final judgment on Jerusalem (for murdering Him in their flesh) was a 36 1/2 year delay. 36 1/2 years is to the middle of the 37th year. Counting Jesus’ 3 1/2 years of Holy Spirit ministry to His old covenant people, the Holy Spirit renewal of the old covenant body lasted 40 years. It was also 40 years of Holy Spirit reformation until the old covenant destruction was fulfilled. 3 1/2 years of Roman destruction ensued in the spring of the year 66, completing the second half of the typical last week in the flesh rather than in the Holy Spirit (sabbbatical years start in the fall). In the 37 year meantime, animal sacrifices continued to be made in Jerusalem. Sacrifices ceased when the middle of the typical week resumed: therefore sacrifices were cut off mid week after all. After the new covenant 37 year grace period was fulfilled, the old covenant middle of the week resumed for a 3 1/2 year destruction of the unrepentant Hebrews or the fallen from grace Hebrews. The Hebrews who fell out of their incomplete new covenant and returned to their incomplete old covenant finished the typical millennium dead.

Hebrews 6:1-6

LITV 1 Because of this, having left the discourse of the beginning of Christ, let us [born again Hebrews] be borne [carried] on to full growth, not laying down again a foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, 2 of the baptisms, of doctrine, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of dead ones, and of eternal judgment [judgement to the age]. 3 And this we will do, if indeed God permits. 4 For it is impossible for those being once enlightened, and having tasted of the heavenly gift, and becoming sharers of the Holy Spirit, 5 and tasting the good Word of God, and the works of power of a coming age, 6 then falling away, it is impossible for them again to renew to repentance, crucifying again for themselves the Son of God, and putting Him to open shame.

During that old covenant time-out, the people under law were not called to give an accounting, for 37 new covenant years. 36.5 years is to the the middle of the 37th new covenant year. These are old calendar years being brought into the new. Jesus was 33.5 when He died. He was born in the fall and died in the spring. 37 new covenant years was a short delay in old covenant judgement, as explained to the martyrs under the antitypical alter in Heaven. Without that discounting of the old covenant days no old covenant flesh would have been saved. The Holy Spirit rebirth forestalled the inevitable and saved all God’s chosen people before the last 3 1/2 years resumed and ended the typical flesh covenant. In fulfillment of His Word, Jesus lost none that the Father gave Him. Just as He said He wouldn’t. Rebirth came before destruction.

John 18:9

LITV 9 (that the Word might be fulfilled which He said, ” Of those whom You gave to Me, I lost not one of them).”

Daniel 9:27

ECB 27 And He empowers a covenant with many – one week: and in the half of the week He shabbathizes the sacrifice and the offering; and for the wing of abominations he desolates it even until the final finish; and pours what is appointed on the desolate.

Jesus was the covenant master with many people, for one week. He worked in the power of the Holy Spirit, reforming and healing His old covenant people for 3 1/2 years, before being cut off in the middle of His Holy-Spirit-enabled, reformation week. In the middle of the week, He became the final necessary sacrifice for all His chosen people, not just some of His chosen people. Fulfilling His final re-creation week in the new covenant was for the salvation of His (being) born again nation. Thereupon resuming the final week in the old covenant resulted in the destruction of the lost ones still in the flesh. The only begotten Son lost none that were given to Him by the Father. Anyone without His Holy Spirit rebirth is still in the flesh birth and is not His. You must be born again or perish with the first born body of the flesh, just as Jesus explained to the teacher of the Jews – John 3:6-7.

Romans 8:2

ECB 2 For the torah of the Spirit of life in Messiah Yah Shua liberates me from the torah of sin and death [so claimed Jewish Paul from the tribe of Benjamin].

Romans 8:9

ECB 9 And you are not in flesh, but in Spirit whenever the Spirit of Elohim dwell in you and if one has not the Spirit of Messiah, he is none of his.

True Jews were the ones called and kept in Christ. According to Jesus’ half brother in the old covenant, unbelievers mocked the believers before their end came. Jude was a Jew who wrote to the ones called of God. Jude warned about the ones who were trying to sanctify themselves. Jude uses similar language like his old covenant full brother Jacob had used to address the 12 tribes in transition. The letter from Jewish Jude is generally dated before the destruction of the Jewish Temple in Jerusalem in 70 AD. The self-sanctifying Jews were still offering animal sacrifices according to the Torah.

Jude 1:1

LITV 1 Jude, a slave of Jesus Christ, and brother of James [Jacob], to the ones called in God the Father, having been set apart, and having been kept to Jesus Christ:

1 Corinthians 9:5

LITV 5 Have we not authority to lead about a sister, a wife, as the rest of the apostles also, and Cephas, and the Lord’s brothers do ?

Jude 1:17-19

LITV 17 But you, beloved, remember the words spoken before by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ, 18 because they told you that at the last time there will be mockers following ungodlinesses according to their lusts [their overwhelming desires to keep the old covenant drove them to murder their own people who had the Holy Spirit]. 19 These are the ones setting themselves apart, animal-like ones, not having the Spirit.

The Day of the Lord arrived as a day of relief for believers and a day of destruction for unbelievers. Just as Jesus explained to the Jewish teacher when He was still in His old covenant. Be born again or perish. Eonian life or eonian death were the only two options Jesus offered the Jews.

2 Thessalonians 1:4-10

ECB 4 so that we ourselves boast in you in the ecclesiae of Elohim for your endurance and trust in all the persecutions and tribulations you endure: 5 which is an indication of the just judgment of Elohim – to count you worthy of the sovereigndom of Elohim for which you also suffer: 6 whenever it is just with Elohim to recompense tribulation to them who tribulate you; 7 and you [born again Thessalonians] who are tribulated, to relax [a letting up of the affliction emanating from the Judaizers] with us [born again Jews], in the apocalypse [revelation] of Adonay Yah Shua of the heavens, with his angels of dynamis, 8 in flaming fire giving vengeance on them who know not Elohim – who obey not the evangelism of our Adonay Yah Shua Messiah: 9 to be penalized in judgment with eternal ruin [fulfill the age in life or destruction] – from the face of Adonay and from the glory of his might; 10 whenever he comes to be glorified in his holy and to be marveled in all who trust – because you trust our witness among you in that day:

According to Paul, that day of destruction was a marvelous day for believers. Paul was one of the many born again Jews who took his good news of millennial redemption to the Gentile nations, during the final 40 year grace period. 40 years of more grace was by Way of the Messiah’s 3 1/2 old covenant years and 36 1/2 new covenant years of Holy Spirit ministry to His chosen people. Adam had been graciously placed on hold in Hades for thousands of years, waiting for the Day of the Lord to arrive. The Jewish Messiah took Adam’s place on the tree and resurrected it in order to resurrect the fallen first born status into His new covenant. The new covenant firstborn will never take the old covenant fall upon Himself again. He and all His people already fulfilled all the ages alive. None of His chosen people perished to the age – John 3:16. The Jewish counts to 40 years, 70 years and 1000 years were all fulfilled alive in Christ. Only in the new did they finally arrive to the ages alive. The One who made the ages fulfilled them.
