Jesus represents salvation to the Jews with the Greek word that means, “age-enduring”. Sounds important.

αἰώνιος – aiōnios – ahee-o’-nee-os

LSJ Gloss: αἰώνιος lasting for an age

Dodson: αἰώνιος eternal, unending

From two words: aion (age) and ios (lasting) which means age-enduring or age-lasting.

John 3:15-18

YLT 15 that every one who is believing in him may not perish, but may have life age-during, 16 for God did so love the world, that His Son—the only begotten—He gave, that every one who is believing in him may not perish, but may have life age-during. 17 For God did not send His Son to the world that he may judge the world, but that the world may be saved through him; 18 he who is believing in him is not judged, but he who is not believing hath been judged already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Who was it that could have lived or did live “to the age”? In verse 16, Jesus said anyone who was believing would have age-enduring life. What was that age? Was it an age limit or was it a goal that became limitless and permanent? Did they only live to their assigned age or did they continue into a new one? What happens to the person or the nation after they hit their target? If people reach the “age” alive, do they move in an age that doesn’t have an age limit or do they just perish after all? Jesus came to save them from perishing.

Was it the soul or the body or the spirit or all three that endured to the age by believing in Jesus? Was it the nation of Israel as a the body of humanity or the individual who needed to live to the age? Or both? Are we still waiting for the eschaton of humanity so we can complete 1000 years on earth before we or some part of us can enter eternity? Or was the age of 1000 already re-presented by the new firstborn in the rebirth and completion of the old humanity?

The idea that a day/age lasts 1000 years is based on 2 Peter 3:8: “But of this one thing be not ignorant, my beloved, that one day with the Lord is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.” The interpretation was taken by many, including Augustine, to mean that humanity would live through six 1,000-year days, with the seventh day being the never-ending day in Heaven. Genesis chapter three does represent the first six age/days with a beginning and an ending, but it places Adam in the sixth day already. All Adam needed to do was live to 1000 to reach the seventh day. He didn’t need to live to six or seven thousand. Genesis chapter three presents the failure of Adam to reach his assigned age. God did not allow him to live to the age after the fall. The fall itself did not result in any bodily change in Adam that shortened Adam’s life. He could no longer access the tree of life that would have kept his body alive to the age.

Genesis 3:22-23

YLT 22 And Jehovah God saith, `Lo, the man was as one of Us, as to the knowledge of good and evil; and now, lest he send forth his hand, and have taken also of the tree of life, and eaten, and lived to the age,’ — 23 Jehovah God sendeth him forth from the garden of Eden to serve the ground from which he hath been taken;

Nobody lived to the age of 1000 in the old covenant. Jesus entered the typical old covenant and completed (telosed) that age by taking it to the new non-typical creation called the new covenant. Jesus took the place of Adam and retroactively took up where Adam left off. He did not start over from nothing. He resurrected the sixth day humanity (dead in works) into His seventh day. People have lived in the never-ending day of the new covenant, in heaven and on earth, for nearly 2000 years to now.

Typically, the age of death was when the flesh and blood body died. To early Greek thinkers, the Greek word for “age” meant the assigned duration of a person’s life. Jesus came to spiritually fulfill the flesh and blood types. Whether that was Adam individually, who died at 930 years of age but didn’t live to his assigned age (“lest he live to the age”), or the old covenant body of Moses, which died the first time after 490 years of flesh and blood failures. They were put on pause make up for 70 sabbaticals; 10 of which were Jubilees. Ten times during the 490 they were to recount the first year in the land. Then they were killed the second time after another 490. Either way, it was the flesh and blood body that couldn’t make it to the age of 1000 alive; individually or corporately. It was both the flesh and blood body of Adam and the flesh and blood body of Israel that could not inherit life to the age.

Both bodies died dying in the first death but were not permanently dead yet. Short of 1000 years, they were kept in their first death, awaiting judgement: eternal life or second death. Moses himself died in full health at the new maximum age of 120 years, so the hope of living to 1000 obviously went corporate with the body of Moses. At Pentecost, the Holy Spirit individually in Adam and collectively in Israel granted life-to-the-age (of 1000). With Jesus’ 70 years of human body life, He took up where Adam left off and transitioned to a new covenant of typical completions: sabbath rest from 1000 years of flesh and blood, in a spirit realm human body: called the body of Christ.

After Jesus told Nicodemus that he needed a spirit realm body in order to enter the kingdom of God, Nicodemus asked how? Jesus answer was to believe in Him, so that after Jesus is lifted up Nicodemus will have αιώνιον life: life to the age.

Dodson: αἰών – an age, a cycle of time

LSJ Gloss: αἰώνιος ahee-o’-nee-os aiōnios – lasting for an age

John 3:14-16

YLT 14 `And as Moses did lift up the serpent in the wilderness, so it behoveth the Son of Man to be lifted up, 15 that every one who is believing in him may not perish, but may have life age-during, 16 for God did so love the world, that His Son—the only begotten—He gave, that every one who is believing in him may not perish, but may have life age-during.

Adam’s potential for eternal life or eternal death was put on hold when he died at the age of 930. Before he died biologically, Adam was on track for his second death. He was going to die dead permanently at the age of 1000. Instead, Adam died in and remained in his first death. Israel under law also failed to live to 1000 as a corporate body in flesh and blood. Corporate body life in the land was only put on hold for 70 years after their first death; for a half-time sabbath intermission. After the second 490, the ‘land’ received it’s never-ending sabbath rest in the spirit realm. AD 70 was the super-sabbath Jubilee of 1000 years. The flesh and blood types were not resurrected again after the second 70 years. Their second land death was permanent. The Bible is full of these time statements. Age-long is a time statement. It has a beginning and an ending.

Daniel not only lived through and recognized how God was fulfilling the 70-year prophecy of Jeremiah, he also prophesied 490 times (years) before putting and ending to o.c. sin. Jesus told Peter to keep forgiving his brethren till 490 times. AD 70 put an end to the o.c. offenders. After that the n.c. Peter doesn’t have to forgive them anymore, because nobody is in the o.c. to forgive. Peter was probably one of the martyrs under the alter asking for a more hasty vengeance on the land.

A portion of Israel did make it half way to a millennium, but even that was only by grace. Then they were expelled from God’s land, but only after 490 years of annual forgiveness. When Jesus announced the nearness of the kingdom, their second 490 years of God’s forbearance toward them in the land was about to end; in complete abysmal failure. Didn’t Jesus know the flesh and blood Jews were failing to keep the sabbaths in the second half too? Of course He did. That is why He told Nicodemus that his Jewish flesh body could not even see the kingdom let alone enter it. God showed Moses the typical kingdom at the age of 120, but Moses flesh and blood body was not allowed to enter the land. Nicodemus is actually in the land in flesh and blood, but he can’t see the kingdom of heaven or enter it unless he given a new body from above.

The invisible to us Spirit gives birth to an invisible to us body. We can see and enter the kingdom of God only after being born again into a spirit realm body. But not with our physical eyes or our flesh and blood body. We see the kingdom with our new body eyes.

The Spirit conceived in Mary to generate a flesh and blood body for the savior to be born. He already lived in heaven before the first creation even began. And there was already a corporate body of spirit realm beings in the heaven before His body of humanity was created on earth. The new covenant body of humanity that inhabits heaven and earth was a new creation.

Typically the death of a the human body was when a person exhaled his last breath of air. Body soul and spirit (corporate and individual) are all represented by flesh and blood (body), life on the land of God (soul), and air (spirit). All three were recognizably on hold in Hades. Prior to the ongoing resurrection that culminated in the spiritual realm remarriage, it was symbolically important to be buried in the old covenant land, because God’s people were married in the typical creation. They waited in the land after being buried.

John 13:1

ECB 1
THE FINAL NIGHT OF YAH SHUA: THE FINAL SUPPER
Preceding the celebration of the pasach, Yah Shua, knowing his hour to depart from this cosmos to the Father is come, loving his own who are in the cosmos, he loves them to the completion/shalom.

“completion” in John 13:1 is from the Greek word “telos”. It means “consummation” or “end-goal” or “purpose”. Jesus was leaving the o.c. cosmos of the Jews and going back to the glory He had before that world even began, but He was not leaving His chosen ones to die in the second 490 year death of Israel (dying they would die again). The chosen people of God would join Jesus in His new creation 50 days after His resurrection. He would love them to the telos of their original creation. He would take them to the age of 1000 alive. The ECB translator of John 13:1 adds the Hebrew word “shalom” when he translates the Greek word telos to English.

Stephen is the first transition example of someone from the world of o.c. humanity who doesn’t go to wait in Hades, gracious as that place was. Stephen waited under the alter in heaven for the old age to be telosed to 1000 years. Stephen sees heaven open for humanity as he is about to go there. He sees Jesus standing by the Father. Does that mean the Father has a recognizable by earthy eyes body in the spirit realm of heaven? Did Stephen recognize Jesus’ heaven body by first knowing His earthy body? What about the Father? How did Stephen recognize Him? Stephen was full of the Holy Spirit, comprehending a heavenly vision, while standing on the land. I can’t explain it.

Why does the Greek Bible speak of souls in Hades, souls on a boat, losing a soul to save it, laying down a soul only to take it up again and souls under the alter. Why not bodies or lives on a boat? Why not spirits under the alter? Only humanized (Human souled) spirits went to Hades to wait in hope for renewal to life.

By the time the common language of the world was Greek, all nations were becoming familiar with the human laws of Moses. Employing the Greek word Hades for the Hebrew word Sheol or the word Tartarus for the deepest place of the dead, does not imply acceptance of Greek mythology. That the Greek word for soul (pseuke) is used in the LXX to replace the Hebrew word for soul (Nephesh) over 700 times does imply acceptance of all Greek beliefs about the soul. The Greeks are said to believe all souls to be eternal, though I have yet to find the word eternal anywhere in Greek mythology.

Until 1500 years ago the Greek word “aeonic” meant “lasting for the age” not “eternal”. Jesus in the o.c. told the Jews to lose their soul to keep it. In the o.c., the human soul could not live to the age. It died dying. Jesus laid down His o.c. soul only to take it up again in the n.c.. Only His o.c. humanity would have lived to the age, had He not laid it down for His people. One of those covenant creations ended and one is now never ending.

An extreme example of non-humanized spirits who didn’t have a hope in Hades were the demons. As hybrid spirits, these evil spirits were stuck on land looking for a body to indwell or a soul to steal. They were fallen angel-human hybrids. Demons desired human bodies, like their fallen angel fathers did. But these evil spirits cohabited a body and took over the human soul. The soul was made to rule the spirit. These spirits ruled the body, soul and spirit of a person. Demons knew they were awaiting judgement, presumably to second death rather than life to the never ending age. Like their fathers, they did not respect God’s created order. They wanted to selfishly corrupt humanity. Those spirits who died in the days of Noah, who Jesus went and preached to, were in Hades. Even today humanity starts good things like hospitals and then people with greedy spirits move in for profit. Their spirits are not being ruled by humanity. They selfishly take over and rule human creations.

There is another Greek word translated into the English word “eternal” but it is only used twice in the Bible. Once in Jude 1:6 and once in Romans 1:20. In Jude the fallen angels are presented as irredeemable in contrast to humans in Hades who were only on hold “to the age”. Jesus did not go to the place of fallen angels to break there bonds. He went to Hades to release those in age enduring bonds.

ἀΐδιος

KJV Usage: eternal, everlasting.

Romans 1:20

KJV 20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

So I surmise that only human souls (humanized spirits) could even hope to live to the age of the ages. Demons were already once dead and were destined to die their second death at the end of the o.c. age with their fallen angel fathers. They were bound to their destiny with unbreakable “chains”. They knew their day was coming.

Even in Greek mythology, the Greeks who didn’t lead an exemplary life didn’t believe they were automatically accepted into Hades (Sheol). In their mythology they wanted to go to Hades in order to face the three judges. The Hebrews believed that all Hebrews went to Hades to await judgement. Hades is where the Greekized souls desired to go after they died, otherwise the soul was left to wander the banks of the River Styx for the aeon; until the age of their life force was completely nullified in a second death or given life to the age.

Job 24:19

LITV 19 Drought and heat eat up the snow waters; Sheol those who have sinned.

Apparently Job was about to be taken to Sheol, but not due to his bad behavior as his ‘friends’ claimed. Job’s body seemed to be melting away back into the land he was taken from.

Jesus laid down His soul to ransom many souls (Including Job’s I suspect). Only Jesus’ soul was ideally spiritual even before His resurrection. Even in His flesh and blood body, He had the Holy Spirit remain on Him. After the resurrection, Stephen too had the Holy Spirit. But in the resurrection, the body was no longer in the flesh. They were born from above into a new creation body; by the Spirit.

There were spiritual souls other than Stephan’s under the alter waiting for other spiritual souls to join them. Their biological earthbound bodies were being slaughtered by those who would not lay down their unspiritual typical souls still in flesh and blood mode. They didn’t like non-earthbound souls like Jesus, even when He was on their o.c. land. The martyrs laid down their o.c. natural souls for the Holy Spirit enabled humanity of the new creation, only to be hated and killed and taken up to heaven too. Believers were called to keep putting the old soul of humanity (Adam) to death and follow the new firstborn soul. Those who wanted to keep their o.c. soul lost their humanity. Humanity is no longer in the body of Adam. Jesus took God’s human soul to the new creation. Then Peter was called (in a sheet vision of cleansed creations) to incorporate all the living souls who had been humanized by the diaspora.

1 Corinthians 15:45

ECB 45 And thus it is scribed, The first human Adam became into a living soul; the final Adam into an enlivening spirit.

Nobody in the human creation of Adam lived to their assigned age. Adam by grace lived in his flesh and blood to be 930 and then by grace was put on hold before the age. Seems like God shortened the potential age of individuals in the flesh and blood family of Adam to 120 years, starting with Moses outside the promised land. Living to the age of 1000 became corporate body life. Living to 120 years of age in Moses’ flesh and blood body did not inherit the kingdom for him. He saw it but could not enter it. Moses had to be born again and get a spirit body fit for the kingdom of heaven, just like Nicodemus.

Angels had real bodies in heaven. They were spirits in spirit realm bodies called sons of God. They could cloak themselves in flesh and blood bodies to appear in the physical realm for the benefit of humanity (or the detriment of humanity in the case of Genesis chapter 6).

Each soul under the alter in heaven was given a white robe to cover their body in the spirit realm. They were told to rest for a little while until the fulfillment of their fellow servants and brethren who were also about to be killed. They have been in heaven 2000 years now. The souls under the alter wanted justice. They were rewarded with a white robe, but vengeance on the land patiently waited till AD 70, when God typically destroyed the o.c. holdouts. Like Jesus’ resurrection, much more was happening in the spirit realm.

Saving flesh and blood bodies to the age of 1000 didn’t seem to be the way to eternal life. For Adam the loss of his flesh and blood body is what put him on hold and saved him from his second death. Adam’s flesh and blood would not have inherited the kingdom. Had he lived another 70 years in the flesh he would not have gone to wait in Hades. He would have been judged to second death before Jesus arrived to save him. Had Adam not disobeyed, God would not have graciously created Hades for him to be adjourned.

Revelation 6:9-11

YLT 9 And when he opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those slain because of the word of God, and because of the testimony that they held, 10 and they were crying with a great voice, saying, `Till when, O Master, the Holy and the True, dost Thou not judge and take vengeance of our blood from those dwelling upon the land?’ 11 and there was given to each one white robes, and it was said to them that they may rest themselves yet a little time, till may be fulfilled also their fellow-servants and their brethren, who are about to be killed—even as they.

The man who was sleeping with his father’s wife was given over to Satan to destroy his flesh so his spirit could be saved. His human soul was out of control and needed help. His “flesh” was ruling his spirit. His humanity was supposed to constrain him. New covenant humanity is being Holy Spirit created and enabled. It’s not just natural or soulish. This man was grieving the Spirit of God that lived in him. In Noah’s day, the out of control flesh was destroyed to in order to adjourn the spirits to Hades, possibly to be saved in the day of the Lord judgement. God’s Spirit would not strive with this Corinthian man’s “flesh” to the age either. “Destruction of his flesh” did not necessarily involve biological death in the new covenant creation, as God’s people were by their default and God’s fulfillment “not in the flesh” anymore.

1 Peter 3:18-20

CLV 18 seeing that Christ also, for our sakes, once died concerning sins, the just for the sake of the unjust, that He may be leading us to God; being put to death, indeed, in flesh, yet vivified in spirit, 19 in which, being gone to the spirits in jail also, 20 He heralds to those once stubborn, when the patience of God awaited in the days of Noah while the ark was being constructed, in which a few, that is, eight souls, were brought safely through water,

Genesis 6:3

3 And saying is Yahweh Elohim, “My spirit shall not strive with humanity to the age, because he is flesh. And come shall his days to be a hundred and twenty years.

Acts 2:24-30

LITV 24 But God raised Him up, loosing the throes of death, because it was not possible for Him to be held by it. 25 For David said as to Him, “I always foresaw the Lord before Me, because He is at My right hand, that I not be moved. 26 For this reason My heart rejoiced, and My tongue was glad; and My flesh also will dwell on hope, 27 because You will not leave My soul in Hades, nor will You give Your Holy One to see corruption. 28 You revealed to Me paths of life; You will fill Me with joy with Your face.” LXX-Psa. 15:8-11; MT-Psa. 16:8-11 29 Men, brothers, it is permitted to say to you with plainness as to the patriarch David, that he both died and was buried, and his tomb is among us until this day.30 Being a prophet, then, and knowing that God swore with an oath to him that of the fruit of his loin, as concerning flesh, to raise the Christ to sit on his throne, see Psa. 132:11

Adam had special revelation, which put him above the other living souls. He was also made more accountable. The other souls were constrained by natural revelation. But Adam’s living soul didn’t naturally constrain him, even with special revelation. The human soul that Jesus laid down and took up again is still Holy Spirit enabled, but not in the flesh and blood covenant anymore. Jesus naturally brought humanity to completion under o.c. special revelation and kept it spiritual. It is now in the more spiritual new covenant where the indwelling Holy Spirit lives with the humanized spirit of man. The Holy Spirit is given to indwell all God’s people. Adam as the first living soul of o.c. humanity didn’t have that.

The bible speaks of one spirit, one soul and one body. I take that to mean the Holy Spirit, the new creation humanity and the Body of Christ. Does that mean I don’t have a spirit or a body or a soul individually? If Jesus replaced Adam, then isn’t He the firstborn individual soul of new creation humanity who took us to the age alive?

1 Corinthians 12:12-14

YLT 12 For, even as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of the one body, being many, are one body, so also is the Christ, 13 for also in one Spirit we all to one body were baptized, whether Jews or Greeks, whether servants or freemen, and all into one Spirit were made to drink, 14 for also the body is not one member, but many;

The CEO of a corporation is the head of the body. He or his company assigns specialized roles to the members of the body. Some are hands, feet, eyes etc. He is by position responsible for the discipline of his body.

Philippians 1:27

27 Only worthily of the good message of the Christ, be ye being citizens, that, whether coming and seeing you, or being absent, I may hear of the things concerning you, that ye stand fast in one Spirit; one soul striving together for the belief of the good message.

Romans 8:16

LITV 16 The Spirit Himself witnesses with our spirit that we are children of God.

The spirit is apparently the essence of a being. It is the unique existence given to each individual, even if that person is just in a biological body. Biological bodies are also individually unique, even ‘identical’ twins. Most people are given, or grow up to choose, a somewhat unique code of conduct. We could call that their ‘natural’ soul. Most people today are somewhat humanized. One’s natural soul, or biological family life, constrains one’s spirit. The individual’s body also places it’s natural limitations on the spirit inside the body. Only the human body could eventually rule over all the other natural-revelation-only bodies. Naturally, having the most opposable thumbs doesn’t get all the credit.

Adam was commissioned to rule all of creation by humanizing them, but first he had to rule himself. Humanity can physically build vehicles to conquer the real and metaphoric realms of water, air and land, but humanity could never build a bridge to join heaven and earth. Even though God in heaven is only metaphorically up in nature, humanity actually tried reaching Him by physically going up with the tower of Babel. The new creation first born actually did bridge heaven and earth for humanity in the spirit realm. He did it by obeying God in the garden.

Instead of obeying God and humanizing themselves and the nations, the diaspora-from-the-garden descendents of Adam got together to build a physical ‘bridge’ from earth to heaven, possibly due to discontentment with their assigned status as humans. The spirit in us wants a place or a possession that belongs to another. Yearning for it makes it a covetous envy.

James 4:5

ECB 5 Or think you that the scripture words in vain, The spirit dwelling in us yearns to envy?

1 Thessalonians 5:23

YLT 23 and the God of the peace Himself sanctify you wholly, and may your whole spirit, and soul, and body, be preserved unblameably in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ;

You-all in the church of Thessalonica; you-all’s spirit, soul and body needs to be sanctified and preserved unblamable for the Day of the Lord. We don’t think the Holy Spirit needs to be sanctified or kept unblamable. Everyone is still an individual spirit, soul and body in the in the one body of Christ.

If flesh gives birth to flesh and spirit gives birth to spirit, then what kind of body did the Hebrews get by being born again? Maybe one that lived to the age in the spirit realm rather than the flesh and blood realm, especially the bodies wearing white robes who were waiting under the alter for those who were about to join them. The martyrs under the alter and everyone else in the body of Christ were still alive Spirit to spirit in AD 70 because they were in the new covenant body. Those spirits who stayed in the body of Adam died dead at 1000 years of age. Even though some of them still had living biological bodies and were not in Hades, they were still individually members of the flesh and blood first-death-body of Adam. That body of humanity began to be being resurrected by the Holy Spirit at Pentecost, to individually join the individual resurrection of Christ.

In this physical world, “to the age” is represented in the skies as we look up from earth. The Zodiac is a wheel consisting of 12 repetitive ages. It is a perpetual cycle of 12 ages. Each age is marked by a beginning and an ending. Our annual birth age (and great year rebirth as pictured in the sky) was fulfilled by the once for all ages rebirth of the son of God.

That resurrection event was incorporated by the 12 tribes at Pentecost and made eternal after the annual day of atonement was finally put to rest. Christ’s sacrificial life and rebirth resulted in a sabbath rest wedding, to His people. The typical cycle of festivals were timed by reading the sky.

Genesis 1:14

CLV 14 And saying is the Elohim, “Become shall luminaries in the atmosphere of the heavens, to give light on the earth, to separate between the day and the night. And they come to be for signs and for appointments, and for days and years.

The perpetual cycle in astrology and in the laws of Moses, was a concept of endless repetition more than a linear time as we see it. Until experts in astrology from the East arrived in Bethlehem to see the One the skies were pointing to. Eastern tradition says there were 12 magi while western tradition says 3. Perpetual repetition seems meaningless without the goal in mind. The clock on the wall seems to go around forever, unless you have an appointed time to go somewhere. Apparently the sun still sets every day and the 12 ages still travel around the wheel in the sky every 26,000 years, but the skies are no longer ruling in the new creation.

Ecclesiastes 1:4-11

LITV 4 A generation passes away, and another generation comes; but the earth stands forever. 5 The sun also arises, and the sun goes hurrying to its place; it arises there again . 6 The wind goes toward the south, and turning around to the north; the wind is going around and around. And the wind returns on its circuits. 7 All the rivers are going to the sea; yet the sea is not full. To the place where the rivers are going, there they are returning to go again . 8 All words are wearisome; a man is not able to utter it. The eye is not satisfied to see, nor is the ear filled from hearing. 9 That which has been, it is that which shall be. And that which has been done, it is that which will be done. And there is no new thing under the sun. 10 Is there a thing of which one might say, See this, it is new? It has already been for the ages which were before us. 11 There is no memory of former things; yea, nor is there any memory for them of things which will be afterward, with those who will be at the last.

Revelation 21:1-6, 23-27

LITV 1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth passed away, and the sea no longer is. 2 And I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of Heaven from God, having been prepared as a bride, having been adorned for her Husband. 3 And I heard a great voice out of Heaven, saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God with men! And He will tabernacle with them, and they will be His people, and God Himself will be with them as their God. 4 And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes. And death shall be no longer, nor mourning, nor outcry, nor pain will be any longer; for the first things passed away. 5 And the One sitting on the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And He says to me, Write, because these words are faithful and true. 6 And He said to me, It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the Ending. To the one thirsting, I will freely give of the fountain of the water of life.

23 And the city had no need of the sun, nor of the moon, that they might shine in it, for the glory of God illuminated it, even its lamp is the Lamb. 24 And the nations of the ones saved will walk in its light; and the kings of the earth bring their glory and honor into it. 25 And its gates may not at all be shut by day, for no night will be there. 26 And they will bring the glory and the honor of the nations into it. 27 And all profaning may not at all enter into it, or any making an abomination or a lie; but only the ones having been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb.

The sun and the moon are not needed in the spirit realm city that has come down to earth, because the seemingly endless and hopeless repetition of the ages, that Solomon saw in the land of types, reached their thousand year goal in Christ. 700 wives and 300 concubines didn’t do it for Solomon.

That the sea has passed away means their is no division or chaos between Jew and Gentile in the new creation body of Christ. Nationalities don’t separate God’s people in the new covenant age. And maybe it’s not the biological finger of God that wiped away every biological tear, since we can still see the sun and the moon too. Their are no more typical tears since their are no more types in the n.c..

We know it’s not H2O that Jesus offered to the woman at the well. He offered and still offers spiritual water from the fountain of life so we never thirst again. Do I have to stop getting thirsty and stop drinking water to know that I am in the never ending new marriage creation? In us the Holy Spirit is a well of water. That well may not be springing up to life age-during in us, since we are already in the never-ending age. The Holy Spirit already granted life to the age of marriage to God’s people. We are in the already formed family of God, the Holy Spirit testifies to our spirits that we are His family.

John 4:10

CLV 10 Jesus answered and said to her, “If you were aware of the gratuity of God, and Who it is Who is saying to you, ‘Give Me a drink,’ you would request Him, and He would give you living water.”

John 4:13-14

YLT 13 Jesus answered and said to her, `Every one who is drinking of this water shall thirst again; 14 but whoever may drink of the water that I will give him, may not thirst—to the age; and the water that I will give him shall become in him a well of water, springing up to life age-during.’

John 4:13-14

CLV 13 Jesus answered and said to her, “Everyone who is drinking of this water will be thirsting again, 14 yet whoever may be drinking of the water which I shall be giving him, shall under no circumstances be thirsting for the eon, but the water which I shall be giving him will become in him a spring of water, welling up into life eonian.”

John 4:13-14

LITV 13 Jesus answered and said to her, Everyone drinking of this water will thirst again; 14 but whoever may drink of the water which I will give him will never ever thirst, but the water which I will give to him will become a fountain of water in him, springing up into everlasting life.

The dying (mortal) put on the undying (immmortality, undying, freedom from death, deathlessness). The mortally wounded body of Christ died in the dying o.c. body of types. The n.c. body of Christ is no longer mortal because it is not in the typical flesh and blood mode. Jesus died the first death that was under law and put on hold in Hades. He released the hold of that first death for His people by nailing the law to the cross. The law did not kill him. He conquered in the law mode. He did not and could not die the second death. He also released the hold of death for the unbelievers. They were not kept from reaching 1000 years of covenant dying in 70 AD.

Jesus was resurrected into an undying or deathless covenant. In Christ all lived to the age. The covenant body of Christ portion of the Bible was written after betrothal and before marriage. Therefore the o.c. death still existed bodily when 1 Corinthians 15 was written. The second death of the o.c. body swallowed up the first death in victory. The law mode ended. There isn’t even a first death in the n.c.. There is no law of Christ that warns of covenant death or loss of the Holy Spirit.

The first person we see biologically die in the not-dying body of Christ was Stephen. He didn’t die dying. He died living. He went to heaven rather than the holding place of the dead and dying ones. Stephen was still in the transition of covenants when he was killed. He waited in heaven for the n.c. marriage and for the second o.c. death. Hades was created for those in the first death not the second death. Those in the first death either joined the resurrection of Christ or they joined the second o.c. death. Nobody is in the first death in Hades and nobody is dying under o.c. law anymore. There is no first covenant death because there is no first covenant.

1 Corinthians 15:54-58

CLV 54 Now, whenever this corruptible should be putting on incorruption and this mortal should be putting on immortality, then shall come to pass the word which is written, Swallowed up was Death by Victory.” 55 Where, O Death, is your victory? Where, O Death, is your sting? 56 Now the sting of Death is sin, yet the power of sin is the law.” 57 Now thanks be to God, Who is giving us the victory, through our Lord Jesus Christ.” 58 So that, my beloved brethren, become settled, unmovable, superabounding in the work of the Lord always, being aware that your toil is not for naught in the Lord.”

Revelation 20:14

LITV 14 And death and Hades were thrown into the Lake of Fire. This is the second death.

Revelation 22:16-21

LITV 16 I, Jesus, sent My angel to testify these things to you over the churches. I am the Root and Offspring of David, the bright and morning Star. 17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come! And the one hearing, let him say, Come! And the one thirsting, let him come; and the one desiring, let him take of the water of life freely. 18 For I testify together with everyone hearing the words of the prophecy of this Book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add upon him the plagues having been written in this Book. 19 And if anyone takes away from the words of the Book of this prophecy, God will take away his part from the Book of Life, and out of the holy city, and of the things having been written in this Book. 20 The One testifying these things says, Yes, I am coming quickly. Amen. Yes, come, Lord Jesus! 21 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with all of you. Amen.

Those in the o.c. who wanted to deny the goal of the ages did not accept the book of God’s Revelation to them. They lost their Jewish salvation. Salvation is of the Jews. Their part was removed from their typical book or typical tree of life that was being fulfilled in Christ. They did not live to the age in Christ. There was no longer a covenant-death threat for those Jews who were in Christ, for those in the resurrection of Christ the second death could do no harm.

Revelation 22:19

JMNT 19And if anyone should take away from the words of the scroll of this prophecy, God will take away his part from the tree of the Life, and out of (or: forth from) the set-apart City – of (or: pertaining to) the things being written within this scroll.
